I have just made this character Shaun along with his mercenary group called the hounds.
I had an RP idea that your character could be a slave who Shaun frees from slavery, from there I had ideas that your character could join the Hounds fight for justice and honour.
The plot of the story would simply be the character development of Shaun and your character's relationship as they go through many challenges and conflicts ( I have got a lot of ideas planned.)
I was hoping there could also be a romance aspect but because of that I require your character to be a female as I don't feel comfortable with MXM.
Also if you are interested make sure to read Shaun's profile as it has a lot of info on the Hounds and how they were created.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
