Some people like fight scenes, some people like first kiss scenes after a slow burn romance, some people like dark scenes, some people like comfort scenes, some people like angst or flying or magic. So...what's your favorite single TYPE of scene to RP? Not just favorite genre, it's a more specific question than that...within a genre, within a plot, what scenes do you wait eagerly to get to?

For me, one of my favorite types of scenes are scenes where one character is trying to hide the fact that they're crying, and the other character notices it, and comes up, and hugs them, and let's them cry on their shoulder. I think that's so sweet! What is it about that? It just melts me.
Proposal scenes, first kiss scenes, BIG revelation scenes XD,Love triangle scenes

First kiss, first admission of feelings, conflict scenes that end in some form of realisation about the character, sweet and grand gestures of romance..yupp those❤️
I've only been able to roleplay this once, and it's where the group has to leave one of the member's family's house early in the morning for said family's safety. For the rest of the group, it's sad because whatever safety they had is gone again and their time of rest is over. For the person whose family it is, it's sad because they never got to say goodbye and don't properly have the knowledge on whether or not their family is truly safe now.

I believe this is typically found in "On the run" type stories, although there are other cases I imagine.

But yeah, that's my favourite scene that I have roleplayed, and wish to go through other variants in the future.
I'm a sucker for an epic fight. The better and more awesome the fight scene is, the more the blood and adrenaline gets pumping and that is almost addicting. Especially when the odds have been stacked against you the whole fight then you manage to get the upper hand.

Oh GOD! The Caps Lock, IT BURNS US!

If you can make those faces you should do it when a fast food person gives you food, that'd be hilarious *Is given a Double Decker from Taco Bell* "Me Gusta..."

Yeah...totally!
Super specific but I love love love those late night rps where everyone's sleep deprived and a scene gets progressively more ridiculous, to the point that it just devolves into everyone writing posts solely to make each other laugh

my best rp memories were made that way

This is really interesting, because it's so specific, like of like mine is specific. I'm guessing it the angst that makes it interesting to write? The display of emotion, the rapid change in mood that you get to show, or the speeding up of the plot? And with me, I would be craving to RP something like that, but where they do get to say goodbye to the family member they're staying with, and it's a tearful goodbye, and there are lots of hugs--those kind where you don't want to let go, but you have to let go because you have to hurry. But you don't want to, so it's the tightest hug you can possibly give, because your character is trying to put all that emotion and love into that one hug, into that one moment, which might be their last. Oof gosh, it's so wonderfully emotional! And the fact that it's mutal, that the other character is holding on just as tightly, and there's this moment of understanding and intense love that transcends words that can only be communicated through action... it's so sweet. Oookay. That was long, but anyway, I am just saying that scene you just mentioned has a lot of interesting RP angles to it, like you said!

Yeah...I have heard this! Its funny, that I don't get that feeling from fight scenes at all. It's also part of why I find football boring. Maybe adrenaline system isn't wired up to that part of my brain (or something that is actually scientific)! I'm glad you enjoy it!

Ah yes, vigilante justice! This is another one that I know a lot of people like. I can see the appeal and have enjoyed some scenes like that. :)
My favorite type of scenes are the ones that tense your muscles and literally pulls you to the edge of your seat. Some of my best role plays had crazy tense moments where none of the characters are sure about each other. One I’m in right now, my villain character has done nothing but antagonize other characters for several months. But because certain unplanned events happened, he is now on the fence on where his loyalties lie. Should he join the enemy...? Help one side defeat the other? I’ve never had a character play a double-agent role, or at least think about it, considering he has been with this bad group for many years. Now he is attempting to reach out to the ones that hate him. Is he doing it because he knows it’s right, or is he doing it for his own nefarious purposes? One thing is for certain: he has a motive, and he is angry. He will stop at nothing to see the ones responsible for a terrible deed, to burn.

I live for good plot like this. Taking risks, developing the world, and characters... bad guys that hesitate... anti heroes... it’s exciting. If it makes sense for your character, take more risks. You would be surprised to see what happens during their journey. The best kind will always surprise you.
Any kind of scene that forces a characters personal growth. Whether my characters wind up in teaching roles or are the student, I find the journey of a characters self discovery can be extremely compelling. The same goes for scenes where a character is forced to confront their flaws.

Stories of personal struggle that lead to triumph are some of my favorites, and whether these scenes are part of a greater story or are stand alone can make them even more entertaining and interesting.
High tension emotional scenes are my favourite. The opportunity to push a character to their emotional limit, especially if it has to do with something that could possibly break a character highly interest me. Mostly because, that's SO rare for me. I don't usually have a partner who will take the chance to challenge the state of my characters.

Either they're playing it safe to avoid ruffling feathers or their characters are just... kind. But y'know sometimes I like to play opposite to a character who is willing to trample on others including my own characters. The emotional and physical reactions that come out of those moments are intense and if it can make someone really sit and consider the decisions being made? Hooo~ Yes.

OH! Also, death aftermath scenes. Another rare one that I love to write for. When a player character slips up or someone else messes up and someone dies at a result and the scenes that follow it carrying that weight are just so much fun to me. Especially in an adventure setting. Someone who hated them, someone who was close. The impact of that event in their lives even though they still have a journey to complete.

Basically any event during RP that can highly impact and even change a character's outlook on their life and their actions. I love those~ But they're too rare~
Rogue-Scribe

I tend to write in-depth scenes that have a fair amount of descriptions. Battle, romantic interaction between characters, etc.
I’m a sucker for character break throughs. Like, the kind that as a writer you are just waiting for the character to realize naturally as the story unfolds. The journey there being the most frustrating thing to write considering I enjoy holding true to my characters’ personalities as well as internal conflicts. When it finally arrives, I end up writing the most meaningful dialogue and I breathe a little easier. XD
