The train was late pulling into town, already it was 11:30 at night, and that was fine by Bonnie, the later it was, the less people would be milling about the station. She'd found out long ago that it was better to keep her distance for the more normal of humans, they were too fragile, too easily hurt.
She was a danger to society, the people chasing her knew that, but so far she'd been able to keep ahead of them. She would rather have died then go into their custody, where she would surely spend the rest of her days being tested on in a room she would never get to leave. Suicide wasn't an option either, she always chickened out. Isolation was the next best option. She longed for companionship, but it just wasn't safe, her power too unpredictable.
She stepped off the train, as the next wouldn't come for another six hours as they did not run at night. . The platform was not covered, and the sky was pouring rain. She was soaked in seconds. Just her luck. At least the weather was warm.

Nearby, a young man by all appearances, sat alone, earbuds in. He wore a sleek, blue windbreaker and had an umbrella at hand. He was sitting in the only area in which no rain fell and the only open seat was next to him.
Bonnie's soaked sneaker had a loose shoelace, and so she went looking for a place to sit, set down her bags, and fix the shoelace situation. Preferably somewhere dry. SHe didn't plan on leaving the train station, as she was planned to get out of town on the train in six hours, and had no money for a hotel room for the night.
She sat down next to the man with the earbuds. She would have preferred to be alone, but hopefully his music would deter him from making conversation with her. She set her bags down in front of her feet, and sat down to tie her shoe.

"Hello," he greeted idly, "Nice might, isn't it?" he asked sarcastically.
Bonnie sighed inwardly as he started up conversation with her almost immediately. Now she was going to have to go sit somewhere wet, she wasn't going to risk breaking another human.
"Just lovely." She said as politely as she could while she tied up her shoe, and moved to gather her things.
