So I'm working on a huge worldbuilding project. There's just... One small problem.

The actual name of it.

The world uses Latin as a Language (ish) and I want the world name to be in Latin and have a meaning behind it, like the land Of Loss, Broken Souls, Lost Beings, etc. However, to me, the names in able to define and translate don't look nor sound all that catchy/good.

A possible current name would be Perdidit Animarum, which is Latin for Lost Souls, but again it doesn't sound... Appealing.

I don't know whether to scratch the whole Latin idea and just go for a random name of not... any adivce/help would be appreciated :)

You could always take one of the Latin translations and tweak it until it sounds right. It may not keep the exact meaning, but it would still derive from it and sound Latin-ish while ALSO sounding appealing to you.
It could be called Skellryn? No jk that's the name of my and my partners RP site. Ummm what about Sarcopia

If you're still looking for a name, this could work. Tweaking a word or phrase could work.

Alternately you could fiddle with various phrases on Google Translate until you find something that sounds interesting.
Tedamnmarru or Masritum Contani or Predit Enditia are all good.
I thought of maybe naming it after something like what the Romans named the Underworld, Inferius, and maybe have a bit of Greek mythology, so maybe look at Elysium Inferius? Or Inferius Asphodel?
