"It's a mana field." He said with a chuckle, "Pretty much a bubble of energy that recycles in on itself." He rose his hand, a deep blue-black flame forming in his palm. "It takes more energy for me to hold myself back than it does to attack at my fullest." He said, delivering a searing, flame-thrower style strike into the air with the magical flame. "Didn't want to hurt you guys, but being as tough as you three are didn't help either. Especially you, Star, I think you'll do well. Blaze, you should work on your emotions. Don't let anger and frustration get the better of you. Both you and Star also need to work on your physical fitness as well. When magic fails, you need to be able to crack skulls. Haley, I did say no weaponry, so I can't judge you on that fact."

haley looked back just before walking out of the room and turned. " those ball and cains weren't weapons they were actually a-part of my body. thats how i was able to extend them and re-col them at my will. if youd dinte notice the chains was actually going into the skin on my middle finger"

Blaze laughed and stood up, stretching her arms. "She has a point." She glanced around, thinking about Jamice had said. Everyone seemed to think she had anger issues. "This felt great. Like a nap, but without the sleeping part."

"Well, I'm off to investigate this place. If I'm not around for dinner then I got lost."

Star smiled and bumped her hip with his, "Mind if I tag along?" He looked up, thinking about two things. One was that he really wanted to know his way around his knew house. The second thing was that Jamice was right. Star was good at magic, but if that was somehow taken away, he would be useless. He shook his head to shoo the thought, then turned to Blaze for an answer, hoping Haley would come too.

She nodded bumping him back. She wouldn't mind company. These guys were starting to grow on her anyways. She pushed a strand of her red hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, sure. Do you want to come, Haley?"

haley took in a deep breath and stretched causing her back to crack "hmmm ..sure i guess so"

Star looked excited, "FANTASTIC! So which room should we check out first?"

"I don't know." Blaze shrugged. She didn't know where to start, since the tower was so tall and it should have lots of hidden rooms. "Have you guys seen some place interesting?"

haley thought a moment "well i was walking to my room yesterday , and i saw this really pretty garden out one of the windows."

Griffon entered the tower alone. He looked about and, not seeing anyone right off the bat, called out, "Hello?!" He stood leaning against the door way waiting to find out if he was in the right place. He wa looking to increase his knowledge of magic, he had only minor knowledge right now. While he wasn't interested in learning much combat magic, magic in general was a thing he really liked. He was excited to see what tricks he could learn.

Hearing a voice, Jamice took his crystal ball from his pocket. It was small, fit in the palm. Running his thumb over it a bit, he saw an image of someone at his door, calling out, and stood up, turning off the rejuvenation field by removing his wand from the pedestal, and walking downstairs from the area, past the dorms, past the kitchen and dining room, and finally to the entrance. He scratched the back of his head when he looked at Griffon. "... What?" He asked rudely, slinking over to the learning magician lazily. "If you're here for the magic instruction you're a day late. I can still take you in though. We just finished some combat analysis. Tomorrow we'll be doing potions and alchemy."

Griffon frowned for a second. "I didn't know there was a starting date for this." He looked around. "Is this Elvenwood tower?" He shifted his back pack straps as he looked around the entrance area. It wasn't really what he had expected.

Star gestured Haley closer, as he was now in the middle of the two of them. Star looked at Blaze with a smile, then to Haley to say, "Lead the way!"

(I know, I know )

The redhead rubbed her hands together, eager to get going. If they had the chance maybe they could even get into the locked rooms later. "Tomorrow we can go out to explore the town too."

haley nodded and started heading toards the entrance when she saw jamice talking with someone knew "um .. who is this?" she asked as the three walked up beside jamice.

Star heard Jamice talk about potions. "Whoa...really? I'M AWESOME AT POTIONS!" Star gave an open mouth smile, like a kid in a candy store.

Griffon looked at Haley and smiled at her, waving to greet the fellow pupil. "Hiya! Name's Griffon, or Grif, it depends who you ask." He walked past Jamice and extended a hand to the girl. "It's nice to meet you!"

Jamice smirked. "I should hope so. I'll train you mainly in mana and health restoration potions for healing wounds and rejuvenating mana for spellslingin'. I'll also show you a few combat potions like vials of fire, and strategic potions like shapeshifting elixirs." He glanced at Griffon. "I actually don't kn-... Griffon, apparently." He replied to Haley.

He looked back at the instructor as he kept his hand held out. "Griffon Pardoner actually. I'm a story teller but heard this place was teaching magic. I figured that I could learn a little more."

"Welcome to the madness." Blaze said grinning and then fake coughed. "I mean, training." She yawned and covered her mouth. "I'm Blaze, and I suck at potions." She added, looking at Jamice, already sensing the disaster coming.
