Star narrowed his eyes. "I can do ya' one better." With a wink, Star clapped his hands together, creating a burst of stardust through the cave. The stardust cascaded to the ground like rain, and before it touched the ground, floating balls of energy, shaped like stars, floated in a perfect line, illuminating the cave completely. A trail of stars could be traced back to the entrance. "Wherever we go, the trail extends." Star gave a big smile, proud of his 1-upmanship, which he didn't usually do. He walked close to one of the stars, and stepped in it's spot. Nothing happened. It sort of, just went right through him. "AND THEY'RE SAFE TOO!" He laughed to himself.

Griffon shook his head and extinguished his light. "waytobeashowoffmate" is what he mumbled quietly to himself as watched the lights appear. He didn't like when contests were made out of random things.

haley chuckled and again accadently touched the walls " ew" she said quickly pulling her hand away " wait... what the " haley then pulled her hand closer to her face and took a big wiff then started to luagh a little " of course haley , why didn't you think of the before. " the walls are coated in ignite jelly" halley took her hand and held it up to the wall. She then transformed into her fire humanoid self and touched the wall causing all the ignite jelly to catch on fire , but not leave half an inch off the wall. " when ignite jelly is set in fire , it will quickly spread but the flames never grow over half an inch , but they last ten times the length of a normal home fire" just as haley spoke the entire tunnel became lit with fire filled walls illuminating the entire tunnel. " how about the apples" she said as she returned back to her original form. " brains beat bronzes everytime"

"Brains? You may have forgotten one minor detail. In a stone hallway this fire and it will work to make an oven like effect. It will roast us if we do not get out right now!" He wasn't sure how he felt about this group at this moment.

Star looked BEYOND SCARED. "HOLY CRAP!" Star's "stars" all flew to him at amazing speed, morphing together to encase him in a force field. His eyes were closed and he was balled up in a fetal position. He peaked his head out from his knees to see that somehow the structure wasn't collapsing on top of them. Star tilted his head, "Oh?" and released the force field, making it fade away to nothing. Star looked worried. "Is this safe?" He looked through the hallway. He snapped his fingers and gave a "EUREKA" look. He raised his hands, as if parting a sea, and the walls were coated with a large version of one of Star's force fields. "Ok, well I'm allowing oxygen and carbon dioxide to travel in and out of these fields, but nothing else." Star leaned on the wall, not feeling any heat. "Sorry, I may be electric proof, but I'm not fireproof." Star smiled at the girl who was still on fire. He turned to Griffon, "So what was that little light ball thing, anyway?"

"excuse me " haley said interrupting star " sorry , but you must not be fammiliar with ignite jelly , one of it's properties is the reason the flames don't reach more than half an inch is because there is this invisible coat that covers the flames , it also keeps all heat in" haley returned to her original form and placed her bare hand on the wall " see" she said watching as her hand did not touch the flames but a sort of glossy coat right above the flames. " its a very rare type of jelly but my grandmother used to have some in her home that i would always play with."

Griffin raised a brow. He was curious about the jelly an the coating on te flames, how it could still burn and such but decided not to. "You might want to start with that next time." he was none to happy with this girl, or the one who tried to save himself before worrying about everyone getting out. He debated bringing up oxygen and the losing of it from the fire but didn't he figured the girl knew something about the jelly that wouldn't have that effect.

Star put a hand on his hip. After seeing that Griffon had ignored his question he turned to Haley. How rude. "Fine. But I'm STILL keeping the force-field up." Star looked past Haley. "So....are we gonna go? If we are we better hurry. We don't have much time left before class starts......It's POTION MAKING DAY!" Star's smile grew, as usual.

((Hey honest thinking plus he is got little sleep, he's grumpy. I thought this through My character's thoughts in no way reflect my own... Or do they? ))

Griffon nodded and turned to leave. "I'm gonna head up then. I'd like to do some learning." He waited to see if they were coming.

haley shook her head " im still a bit curious as to whats down her and know that i have light i don't hae to take it slow you guys can go on back if you want" haley started walking back down the stairs.

Star didn't know what was down there. But now that the walls were on fire and encased in a force field, whatever was down there knew that Star and Haley were coming. Star got closer and linked onto her arm. He was a little scared, but he suppressed most of it. He straightened his back to stand up straight, and looked around them at the flaming walls. He waved back to Griffon, "See ya." He didn't know how much time they had left before class started, but they had enough. Star felt a little safer. So, after snapping his finger, he lowered the force field around the wall.

Blaze was already in the class, since she had stopped snooping around after Jamice's warning. She wondered what the others were doing as she propped an elbow on her desk and thought about it. Her red curls fell over her shoulders wildly, giving away the fact that no matter how many times she ran a comb through it, it always ended up like a bird nest.

Griffon shrugged as he realized nobody else was going bac up te stairs. He looked at Star. "Race you to the bottom?"

Star got wide-eyed and latched on to Haley even tighter. "NU-UH, YOU MUST BE CRAZY!" He shook his head and said to Griffon, "Do YOU know what's down there?"
Normally, Star would be up to a race, but he didn't know anything about this school, and if people in their world had the power to spontaneously combust unharmed, or freeze molecules in place, or conjure things from mid air, who knows what was in a school designed specifically for other "freaks", like Star.

haley looked over at star " that hurts" she said shaking the arm he clung to. She then proceeded to continue to walk down the stairs faster then she did before " lets just hurry okay guys , no racing we have no ideas what this stair case may have in store, who knows it may just turn into a slide like in those old movies."

Star lightened his grip. About half a minute later, Star was completely calm, as if he wasn't scared at all. He had let go of Haley and was walking on his own. "Hey guys, I don't wanna be late for potion class. Maybe we should come back later? This tunnel seems to just keep going? We should come back and explore later when we have more time."

(Lets revive it!!)
Blaze yawned and groaned, stretching her arms over her head. "Where the hell is everybody?" She looked around and tapped her fingers on the table impatiently. "Hakuna Matata... What a wonderful phrase, Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze. It means no worries for the rest of your days. It's our problem-free philosophy. Hakuna Matata!"

((Doctor, I need posts, pronto! I feel a heartbeat!))

Griffon gave a mischeivious grin as he scooted behind Star and gave him a little push to scare him. He didn't push hard enough to knock him over. He whistled as he walked past him and down the stairs. "Strong winds in this staircase huh?"

(I started the revival process? I FEEL AS STRONG AS SYNERGY!!!!)

Star stumbled forward as he let out a small yelp. He froze for a second as he heard Griffon's words. Star tilted his head and made a fist behind Griffon. He let out a twisted smile as he struck his right hand forward, finger spread apart. A strong gust of wind rushed towards Griffon, strong enough to knock him off his feet. The wind was precise enough to only effect Griffon, ignoring Haley. To break his fall, a strong gust came up from in front of him, after Griffon had time to fall. "You have no idea." Star said as he passed Griffon, smiling evilly.

A chuckle was let out by Griffon after a few curses. Now he was starting to like these people. He stood still and studied the wall for a moment. "Haley, how rare is this stuff?" He spotted a small blob that hadn't been touched by flame and scraped it off with a small cloth, he would put it in a vial later.
