There was a very bright shine of blue light in the night sky. Y/C was looking in their phone when they saw the light shine across their room then heard a big crashing sound. Y/C for out and investigates and walks into a big forest. After a while of walking Y/C finds a small ship that looks like an alien ship, and all of a sudden you see a blue skinned creature crawl out of the ship.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
