He has intimacy issues… maybe because of a traumatic past, he feels too vulnerable if anyone knows about his real emotions or weaknesses. She’s the one person who can see right through him… and it makes him uncomfortable as hell. He’s a danger to her safety… because he’s a spy, a vampire, or something like that.
