Victi knew the start of a trigger command when she heard one, she loved coming up with them, and forced her pupils to narrow as much as she could while she clamped her eyes shut, tightened her ears against the back of her head, putting her hands over them, opened her mouth, this many of them would still have a shockwave, and did her best to roll off. No magic to stop her fur from getting scorched, and she liked keeping it not smelling burnt.

This was still gonna suck....

Lisa's eyes are wide open when the flash-bomb strikes. The surge of painful sound and light assaults her senses of sight and hearing. It burns, and she remembers the forest around Trilling Creek, many years ago when it was alight with hungry flames that tore apart her skin. She screams in pain and terror; all she can connect the sudden brightness to is a swift but painful death.

When the flash of light fades, she's curled up on her side, covering her ears and trying to figure out why she still can't see. Her scream has faded to a whimper. Her arms and face are burned. Her head is pounding. A concussion. I have a concussion.

That thought grounds her just enough to let her sit up. She feels hot, salty tears streaming down her face. The dead don't cry or get concussions. Her body hurts; it feels awful, but not as awful as the forest fire. She can recover from this, but the world now has faded from searing white to darkness. She still can't see.

Raven flinches when she hears the impact of a heavy-handed strike. Then Liliath starts to cry again, she can't take this. She needs to get to Lisa.

But Liliath really needs her. She needs her now. She hovers in the doorway, not sure where to set her loyalties.

A dreadful scream makes the decision for her.

She runs. "Lisa!"

Liliath heared Lisa too “Lisa?” “No Liliath stay here!” Seo tried to grab Liliath again “Touch me again and I kill you.” Liliath said still crying and angry. Liliath runned away “Lisa I am here to save you!”

She noticed Lisa on the ground “Lisa , which dumb pumpkin did this to you!”

Victi's ultra sensitive senses are on fire.

She can smell, barely. Enough. Enough to get to where she can feel and grab. Barely. Her brain full of anger and pain, she had regressed to two options: Kill. Die. She grabbed onto the hard person, getting ready to show exactly how damned she'd be if she die here....

“Lisa can you hear me?” She shook Lisa “if someone hurt you , k hurt the dumb oumking back.”

Lisa's breathing is shallow and panicked, he can barely hear Liliath's voice and gasps in fright when she realizes someone is talking to her.

But...no. It's Liliath.

"L-Liliath; you're alright!" The tears a flowing more freely now, more from relief than the pain. She guesses at where the girl is and opens her arms to embrace her. "P-please tell me you are alright. I-I...I can't see you."

“I am alright , but Seo hit me .” Liliath smiled “I missed you!” Liliath hugged Lisa “It was really fun with Raven , Buggy is dead and she tried to drown me and kill me .”

“How can you be blind suddenly , who did it to you?”

"Lisa!" She didn't realize Liliath had followed her. "Liz, are you dead?" A Lisa tries to hug Liliath. "Ohthankeverythingyou'renotdead!"

Lisa barely processes that Raven is there until the cat purrs and rubs against her side. She reaches out and waves her hand around until her fingertips brush against soft fur.

Relieved beyond speech, Raven sits there and purrs until she remembers that a fight is still kind of happening. She glances at the empty lot outside of the station and sees that Victi is mad. She might kill that guy, or that guy might kill her. The man's form hasn't shifted once through the battle, so Raven's pretty thoroughly convinced that Vincent isn't hiding under that suit of armor. Another guy, as lost and confused as everyone else.

This kind of has to stop. She starts with, "Hey, MORONS!"

“Raven she can’t see me.” Liliath said worried “I am supposed to get in trouble , not she.” Liliath sighed “all those people are stupid pumpkins , beside me You and Raven.”

“Where are all the normal people ?” “Now even my own mommy seems more normal and she is weird.”

“Lisa , let’s go home , i’ll Bring you there cause I am smart.”

Victi's only response is to turn her blinded eyes towards Raven, and shriek, sparks flashing across her open jaws, over her fur, between her ears, as she works to rip the man's helmet off, one of her claws already snapped. The tall, confident sorceress is gone for now, replaced with a raging feral beast.

"Girl, please slow down....what!?" The "what" goes for three points: that someone hit Liliath, that "Buggy" was dead, and that said insect had tried to kill her. For a moment, she's much less worried about her eyesight and more about Liliath's health. As she wraps her arms around the girl, she feels...sticky? Webbing and...blood? Blood. Someone really did hurt her.

"Don't worry about me; I want to help you first." She draws away from Liliath and starts fumbling around for her satchel. Bandages, she needs bandages.

“Seo hit me , cause I But energy cause she grabbed my arms , cause she didn’t want me to go to you.” “Buggy pretended that she was you and then she tried to kill me.” “Then I needed to hide in a basement and then suddenly the basement was underwater Buggy did that.”

“Lisa I don’t need help , I am a big strong Liliath it doesn’t even hurt,”. “It’s some old blood , nothing to worry about.”

"The HELL!?" Raven leaps back. Her back arches and her fur puffs in all directions. That...that's freaky, even for Victi.

Lisa hears the shriek too and responds with a strangled shout of her own. "What was that!?"

"Oh, nothing, just Victi turning into a feral dog! Deal with the girl."

"Raven, are you going to-"

"I don't know what I'm going to do!" Raven spits back and turns to the fox and her angry target. She thinks she understands what's going on. That scream, Lisa's blindness. Something the man did messed up both girls' senses and now Victi has no way to process whatever's happening, and it makes her mad. Murderously mad.

Shaking, Lisa turns to where she thinks Liliath is standing, and tries to stand herself. "We need to get away." Once on her feet, she reaches out, hoping the girl will take her hand. Pain is shooting through her body but she needs to ignore that and get who she can to safety.

“Raven stop it , we are the smart ones , we are not dumb pumpkins!” “We need to focuse on Lisa.” “And about the fact how I am going to hit Seo back.”
“She haves no right to hit me even if I bite her , but it was her own fault cause she grabbed my arms and didn’t allow me to go to you.”

“Lisa lets go home , this place is not save .”

Liliath grabbed Lisa her hand , “Yes let’s go!”

"COME ON!"

Equal parts rage and pain, the challenge was shouted in the general direction of the shrieking beast. Though seeing only spots of light in the darkness around him, he drew his Carifex handcannon, firing blindly but bravely. The roar of the gun drowned out his voices own as round followed round: one shot, two shot, three,. four, five...


All for naught. Struggling the creatures grasp was like fighting a hydraulic press, wrapped in corded steel. The shriek that came from it nearly ruptured his eardrums, seeming the claw its way into his very mind, just as its own claws scratched away paint and bits of enamel from his armored body. Is it any wonder that his vision narrowed, slowly becoming a single, solitary dot. Like daylight at the end of an eternal tunnel. As he slipped into unconsciousness, Ikari stabbed out at where he thought its face might be with the barrel of his gun. The last ditch defiance of a mortal man.

"I don't fear you, demon.."

He fingered the trigger, heard the dry click, and fell into darkness, disappointed.

Empty, the gun was empty...

“I am so super duper happy , cause my best friend is back , now we can eat cookies and celebrate cause we are best friends , and after this adventure I can gay with Lisa and Raven cause they are my bes friends.” Liliath singed happily

Gunshots. Thank the gods they were as loud as they were. Victi snapped back to focus, heart racing. Her pupils! She let them dilate finally. They were all the way open now, and she probably looked horrifying, but she could.... make out the shape of the man she had pinned down, at least, if essentially nothing else "Holy hell..."

She stopped pumping energy through her body, voltage normalizing, and her muscles cooling down from their mana-charged state. She could feel the numb throb of her right wing where his shots had punched through it. His gun arm was still raised, and she heard him finish muttering something, and then a sharp click. Out of ammo...

She rolled off him, out of breath, her body withdrawing from the survival rush. "H-hey..." she managed, "You're on the team now. Talk later," before she passed out
