Victi closed her eyes, getting very annoyed, before calling out, "Raven! Avoiding the question will not make me happy with you! What happened to our deadliest warrior?"

The moment Victi asks about Tsi'ka, Raven's small, cheery smile fades. She looks away, trying to think about anything aside from the scattered gore staining the house crimson and the sickening thud of what she realizes must have been Tsi'ka's mangled body hitting the floor.
Then Victi checks up on Adam, who looks absolutely horrified.
Thinking she's clear, Raven spots Liliath's form lying on the ground some yards away from the others and goes to her. Even though the girl drives everyone insane, it'd be cruel to let the others leave her outside. Pretty certain that Lil isn't actually injured, she tries to wake her so she can walk inside.
The cat starts by purring and nudging her hand. If that doesn't wake the girl, she'll bite the hand, gently, like pinching her skin.

“No I am sleepy.” Liliath mumbled , but she woke up “Hey Raven!” She said excited “Are we still best friends?” “Cause I don’t know , this world makes me confused.” She sighed “They don’t believe that I can take care of my own.”
Liliath really can't, but Raven doesn't say anything to that mostly because Victi snaps at her. She flinches when she hears her name called and turns to look in the fox's direction and, With a small, nervous purr rumbling in her chest, says, "The bug...She d...died-was killed."
“Yes And Buggy is now in heaven learning how not kill people .” She said smiling “She tried to kill me , but I forgiven her cause we are best friends.”
Even the town likes to pick off prey one at a time.
Although tired and ready to sleep with Vincent, it sees an easy opportunity to end the life of a particular childish woman hiding in the grocery store.
In the back of the store, something starts turning. Brick and foundation shift and grind together to mimic the sound of a pathetic voice calling for help. A weak imitation, easy to see through, perhaps.
But to a curious girl who doesn't seem to understand that danger lurks around every corner (she never seemed to fear for her life near Vincent or the stranger with the gun.), the bait may work just well enough.

"Thank you, Raven," She said, closing her eyes, "I'll want to see the damage at some point, if we happen to stumble across it, I want to know what damage that beast can do. And no, girl, she isn't. Her kind don't have an afterlife. They have no gods, or spirits, or ancestors. All they have is the Hive. Unless the Hive can get her personality and memories, she's gone. I'm not sure the gods can touch this place, anyway, so as far as I can tell, nobody goes to an afterlife if they die here."
“She will!” “You are just jealous that she is in a good place and you are not.” She sticked her tongue out
“I made a good decision , I will take care of myself today and no one can help me , but I will sta with you guys.”
“I made a good decision , I will take care of myself today and no one can help me , but I will sta with you guys.”
Victi snorted, "Sadly, no. For her, afterlife is being one with the Hive, and here her telepathic connection to them is blocked. If it weren't, we'd already be picked up by now, and this town would be dust. I'm a literal Valkyrie, I'd like to think I know how dying in battle works for various species, who's souls I escort to whatever afterlives! Seen a lot of dead Tsk-t, never escorted one," she finished.
She really didn't like children. They don't listen, the don't accept reason, they don't show respect, if they bite you you can't bite them back, and blah blah blah. Ugh.

“Shut up!” She yelled “You are mean!”
"I mean, sure, sometimes, but that's not why I'm saying it," she retorts sharply, "Reality isn't fair or kind, pup! You still smell of your own blood, because you probably decided to trust too easily, and got gotten for it. The Tsk-t have their own version of an afterlife, and it's cut off for her in this pit, fair or not!" Victi's voice rose to a furious roar as she forced herself to walk toward Liliath in spite of her limited vision and dizziness, "SHE WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT, AND STILL PROBABLY DID HER DAMNEDEST TO RIP THAT SUCKER APART KNOWING THAT SHE WOULD BE GONE! SHE PROBABLY HAD TO DO IT TO PROTECT YOU, KNOWING HOW YOU SEEM TO THINK THIS MURDER PIT IS A PLAYGROUND!" She was shouting down at the girl at this point, teeth bared in a vicious snarl, "YOU GOT THAT? SHE PROBABLY THREW HER HEAVEN AWAY FOR YOU, AND YOU DENY HER SACRIFICE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T MAKE YOURSELF UNDERSTAND THAT REALITY ISN'T FAIR!"
She knew that, if he were here to see it, Ni would be.... disappointed in her. She didn't care at this point. Better than showing the girl to the afterlife herself. Gods she felt awful....

“STOP SHOUTING TO ME , CAUSE I AM NOT A BABY!” “I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF CAUSE I AM BIG I TOOK CARE OF MANY PEOPLE SO I AM ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF , YOU DON’T RVEN KNOW ME THAT GOOD SO STOP TALK SHIT ABOUT ME.” The curse words she knew , she learned from her parents . Like bitch those stupid mean words but she didn’t care she would use them “I TOOK CARE OF MY OWN SISTER , TILL SHE WAS 2 YEARS OLD BECAUSE SHE GOT CHOKED BY HER OWN GODDAM MOTHER SO SHUT THE HELL UP!”
“I DON’T WANNA GROW UP NOW , CAUSE I AM KID , I AM NOT AN ADULT , I CAN THINK THAT THIS PLAYGROUND CAUSE I AM KID AND YOU ARE THE BIG PERSON HERE , BUT DON’T ACT SO DUMB TO ME , CAUSE I DON’T NEED YOU GUYS . I SURVIVED MANY YEARS ON MY OWN .”
She walked away calmly

Victi snarled, tempted to give the kid a taste of voltage and a lesson in ticking off a sorceress, but then... smiled. Oh, she felt stupid for not doing this earlier! She had been wanting to see the girl who would survive, a valuable ally who she could rely on. And that was it. Right in front of her. Her beastly snarl turned into a clever, devious smile, full of teeth and schemes and contented vulpine smugness.
"There we go," she said in a dangerous but pleased tone, "That's the survivor I was hoping to see."
If she was being honest with herself, she hadn't planned this in the slightest, but that's how she had gotten her reputation in the first place: Make insane gambles and pull them off, but also take lucky situations and make it seem like you planned them, to the point that nobody can tell the difference between the two. Also, makes it seem like you have a plan they need to figure out if you do something stupid, or that you "messed up" the obvious plan to put the real plan into action. Classic kitsune, but a strategy that arguably worked even better if people expected it.
"Well, I like her now," Victi said, stretching her arms over her head, "Never hurts to have another hero."

“So this was a LIE?!” Liliath yelled but softer “MAKING ME ANGRY AND SAD WAS ALL A GAME FOR YOU!” but then she smiled cause Victi liked her. She giggeld “I like you to .” She hugged Victi “Now you are my new best friend .”
"Eh, wouldn't call it a game. Those things about Tsi'ka were true, if sad, but... well.... I know some things that might help with the dead bug's situation. I think the town is listening, though, so I can't tell anyone juuust yet, but I have a plan," she explained with a wink.
"I was frustrated before because I didn't think you were enough of a warrior to get through this. Turns out, you're as tough as they come, with more than enough willpower to get through," she said, happily, as the girl sank fingers into her silky white fur, "Okay new friend.... how does grabbing supplies from here and then finding food sound? I'm starving!"
Possibly literally, she admitted to herself, but no need to worry anyone with that just yet.

Lisa wakes to a sudden sound, something like shouting. No, that is shouting. Why? Her head still hurts, and although she thought her vision was slowly clearing, all she can see is speckled, rocky grey and black and the side of something dark that's moving, swaying.
The shouting is the first thing that makes sense: Victi, absolutely furious. Her powerful voice was what woke her. Really? Does she have to yell?
Liliath's small, but angry voice joins the chorus. By the time that girl lets loose a string of swear words, Lisa is wide awake. "What!?-" she realizes that the blanket of grey and black is the ground and that she isn't lying on it, but slung over the shoulders of the man who, as far as she is aware, considers her an enemy. Indignation gives way to an unrelenting surge of fear.
Her hands, shaking and slick with cold sweat, try to get a grip on whatever nook they can find in Masato's armor. Not to attack or pull herself off of him, but to try keeping herself from getting thrown. She can easily imagine him smashing her head on the pavement. Her last sensation will be an explosion of mind-numbing pain like her present headache multiplied a hundred times, then blurred vision fading to complete darkness.
"Wait, wait, wait!" she cries, her voice shrill with panic. "I-I'm sorry I attacked you! I saw the child, a-and a friend of mine- a-a-and I didn't know you and I thought-I thought if I didn't do something, you would-" she takes a breath. "P-please don't k-kill me."

As Victi and Liliath wrap up their now very friendly chat, Victi hears Lisa begin to panic, and snorts. Poor girl. Ohhh.... she probably didn't even know about AIs. This may take a minute to explain....
"Lisa, calm down. The infiltrator is still unconscious, his armour is just aware and able to direct itself.... I swear this is actually kinda normal. It wants us to help it find ways of helping to heal its person," She explained, trying not to laugh at the chimera's freak-out, and not looking towards Lisa, either. Everything was still a little blurry and painful to look at, so there was no point. "Speaking of which, assistive, please be careful with her, I don't think she remembered to relax and keep her mouth open when the 'nades went off. She's probably concussed and sensitive."
Not that Victi wasn't also in a pretty bad way, she was almost certain that her still being dizzy was a bad thing, but those and the starving were probably not that important right then. She was probably more used to being way too close to explosions than Lisa, anyway.... That would be a thing to probably stop doing in the future, actually.

“Lisa , relax she is my new best friend.” “She is cool.” She smiled “I already have food , but it’s in the store and in the store is Seo and Seo hit me.” “She is weird, like a zombie.” Liliath started making creeeoy noises and started walking as a zombie “Anyways it’s Bella her birthday tomorrow and I need to celebrate cause otherwise she would be mad at me.”
Raven, who had curled herself around Adam's left foot to try keeping them from running away, starts laughing. Her laughter comes as a repeated mrrowing escaping her in short gasps.
She laughs for a few different reasons, Mostly relief: relief that Victi didn't tear out the child's throat, that Liliath is actually there and not running away, and that Lisa is awake, albeit very not happy.
And she finds Lisa's panicking pretty funny.
Okay, absolutely hilarious. The girl's voice cracks and she talks miles a minute while her face turns into a caricature of terror. It's really hard not to laugh.
It's Raven's laughter, and not Victi's logic or Liliath's impersonation, that draws Lisa's attention away from her self-perceived demise.

Victi's calm reassurance and Liliath's goofy chatter doesn't quite get th through to Lisa; in between her headache and her mind-numbing terror, their insistence that she's going to be okay does not make sense. It's Raven's laughter that first steals her attention and lets her focus on something other than fear.
Raven lays curled around the foot a small-ish human with a mess of curly hair. That human's face mirrors her terror. The instinct to assuage their distress, her irritation with Raven, and then Liliath's impersonation of the living dead leave her with no idea what to do or say. She starts laughing too. Her laughter is the weak, tentative chuckle that people do when they're hopelessly confused. "Heh...w-what the heck is going on?"

The trap keeps calling, crying, waiting for Seo to either leave or inspect the sound. It hopes that her curiosity or desire to help overpowers whatever fear she has.
