"Everyone seems to be awake, other than the operative, but his hardware is doing the job for him, everyone's more or less getting along, other than the suit, which is still cooperative as long as we get around to taking care of the operative soon, and... That about sums it up," Victi lists off, trying to think if she's missed anything.
"Oh, and I need food. Like... a lot of food. Liliath, let's go see if we can't have a chat with whoever was being a pain in that store, and get some of that food. I need to eat really badly," she added as a shot of hunger pain shot through her belly. This was getting bad disturbingly quickly...

They stood stilk for a few more seconds, before speaking up in their raspy voice. “I-... I can go..?” They looked from the rather humanoid fox, to the cat. The cat hadn’t seemed to want to let go, so they slowly raised their leg a bit, then stepped away a bit.
"We have no idea where this place actually is, it rearranges itself when we're not looking, deadly traps seem to just show up wherever and whenever, and there's a hostile class 1 shapeshifter out here that wants to kill everyone, so.... you actually don't want to go. You probably want to stay with us," she says with a snort.
Raven stops laughing and growls, irritated, when Adam nudges her away from their foot.
She nods, agreeing with Victi. She speaks to Adam with a mild edge to her tone. "That's exactly what I said to you the first time you tried to walk away."

Lisa, although still sweaty, shaking, and trying to hold on to the sentient armor for dear life, is mostly calm. She tries to focus on keeping Adam from having the same kind of mental breakdown she Is constantly almost falling into.
"Hey...we're not going to hurt you; Especially me. I-I don't believe I can hurt anyone right now, even if I wanted to." The last thing she wants to try to do is fight. Her short nap did help her head, but her body is still wracked with pain.

“Let’s go to the store , I wanna give Seo what she deserve cause she is a dumb pumpkin.”
Meanwhile Seo was pretty upset “Stupid kid.” She sighed
Liliath smiled a little . She still had something she wanted to tell but she didn’t know who to trust , she thought about Raven. Or Victi.
She looked to boy “If you walk away , then you act dumb sorry to say .” “Raven?” She lifted the cat up.” “I wanna talk to you but not with the others .” She whisperd in the Cats ear

Victi chuckled. Good to let the kid get her frustration out. While the girl went to tell her thing to Raven, she said, "I'll just check for stuff in here real quick, you can take your time" and went to look for what she could find. First aid kits of some kind would be key, given the amount of conflict that had happened already. Fun, but needed to be patched afterwards, and she didn't exactly have any nano, assuming that would even work. Usually, they'd be in the open and easy to find. She'd try breaking into whatever kit room this place had in a little bit, too.

Although tired and ready to sleep with Vincent, it sees an easy opportunity to end the life of a particular childish woman hiding in the grocery store.
In the back of the store, something starts turning. Brick and foundation shift and grind together to mimic the sound of a pathetic voice calling for help. A weak imitation, easy to see through, perhaps.
But to a curious girl who doesn't seem to understand that danger lurks around every corner (she never seemed to fear for her life near Vincent or the stranger with the gun.), the bait may work just well enough.

The trap keeps calling, crying, waiting for Seo to either leave or inspect the sound. It hopes that her curiosity or desire to help overpowers whatever fear she has.
The "cries" in the back of the grocery store grow more urgent, more desperate. "Help! Someone, please!" The the building, falls deathly still. If Seo doesn't hear or react to that, she won't get caught. Even the town needs its sleep.
“Raven , this is a secret so you can’t tell it to anybody.” She said as she put the cat down. “My daddy and mommy hate me .” “Like really bad hate .” She made a serious look “They wanted to kill me , when I was a 3.” “But it didn’t work.” “Mommy tried to choke me , but I did something so she would stop.” She sighed “Now comes the secret , I trow her against the wall with my powers , I tried to use them here but they don’t work.” “Mommy got hurt and then she hated me more , that’s why she killed Bella for revenge I think.” “Daddy just watched , and I couldn’t do anything.” She looked away “That was a really bad day .” She started crying “Sorry , big girls can not cry.” She then said quickly said wiping her tears away

Seo sighed irritated “First tell me who you are then I might He,p.”
Raven listens intently as Liliath presumably carries her out of earshot of the rest of the group. "Wait, what are you gonna tell me that you can't tell..." Oh, bad parents. Powers? Liliath's thoughts seem scattered and her tearful blubbering doesn't help.
"Sh, Little, shhh..." she purrs quietly. "Your nasty parents aren't here." -although something quite worse is- "and you're not the only one with broken powers." Raven explains, pretty certain that Lisa can't shapeshift her (She'd either have willfully gone crow by now or terror would have triggered her Chimeran form.) and she remembers Victi explaining that magic and certain technologies seem to be blocked. "And, and...w-well. Calm down; tell me about Bella." Technically, who Bella is doesn't matter, but the poor girl seems to be grieving over her. Raven doesn't know what else to do but let her talk.

The grinding mimicry makes pathetic sobbing sounds. "M-my name is Jeremy; I fell onto something in the back storage closet. I-It's sharp, and...and I-I can't seem to move. P...please help...it hurts." Anything to get her toward the back of the store, even if out of curiosity more than the kindness of her heart.
This would be much easier if the building were to lock its door and rip the entire floor out from under her, but its tired, bored, and feeling particularly cruel. Making the tragic death come after an attempted expression of kindness feels more...what's the word? Ah, it feels more fun.
The storage door is wide and swings out. Should Seo open it, it'd be easy to slam shut and shove her into the closet.

"Cease sniveling injured biomass! The noises you make are fuc-fuc-fuc-fuc frequently irritating this programs auditory receptors." The uncaring stuttering request was completely out of place in the perky, ever-happy vocal tenor that delivered it. Looking around at the chaotic group proceedings before it, the machine felt its coded heart drop. There was no order to be had here. Just more chaotic, biological meanderings.

Seeing the chief organism take sudden leave, and the chatterings from the others behind it, the machine decided on a coarse of action. Turning, in heel to toe about face, OPTIC began following Victi in silence with Lisa on its shoulders.

“Bella is my baby sister , she is super cute Well was.” She sighed “She had pretty brown hair , and she had those big cheeks like a hamster .” “She loved me and I loved her , mommy didn’t like Bella so I took care of her . Mommy didn’t like that , she tried to hurt Bella 4 times , but I always protect Bella then she choked Bella , like really bad choking.” “She died .” “The worst thing was that mommy said it was my fault.”
“I don’t wanna go home ok , I don’t want to be with creeps who kill kids.” She started crying again

Seo evilness her selve didn’t care “Do you see me care , nope.” She shook her head , she didn’t care “I have better things to do , like getting that annoying kid what she deserves .”
Victi looked back at the armoured form. She smirked. The poor bot was impatient, and from its complaints, not used to working with civilians.
"This is a very non-standard situation, you know," she began, "There's virtually no intel except what we've figured out the hard way, and we're without key resources in terms of magic and tech. You're probably noticing some of the features of the equipment you have are busted. Also, we're virtually all civilians. Other than you and your operative, I think I may be the only one with training, and I'm just a mercenary sorceress who used to be a Valkyrie. Kinda still am," She rustled her wings a bit, "But not formally, I don't think. Most of your expectations of how this thing will go.... sorry, but they aren't going to be met. No real chain of command, and trying to force one won't go well. Any reinforcements we get are going to be people like them: lost, confused civilians, who hopefully have useful skills. Unless we get more trained soldiers, who will be just as frustrated as you, most likely. So, here's my plan for now: First, find first-aid gear, use it if you think it would help your bonded. Second, see if we can find documentation in here, there may be reports that can tell us more about what's happening, or at least happened, here. Third, find food, becasue otherwise I'm going to start chewing on corpses, and that would be terrible. Fourth, find more real medical resources to use. In there somewhere, we lost someone already, and I'd like to see how she died to get a better clue of what we're dealing with. A six-meter arthropod with an armoured carapace, sapiet-level intellect, and grafted weapons doesn't die easy, so it would be useful to know how she did. Also, I know enough about her species that we may be able to salvage some glands full of antibiotics," she finished, grabbing a box hanging off a wall.
She couldn't read the text on it with her eyes in the state they were in, but putting it down on a table and popping it open? Perfect. Smelled about right, and she could feel things that seemed very first-aid friendly. Also, box on wall, especially brightly coloured, is usually first aid anyway. Her odds were good.
"If you can help find computers you may be able to do something to, or physical files that may be useful, that would be helpful. Unless you want to pop him out of you and direct me in applying what we have in this kit to him. I'm.... almost certain it's first aid, but I still can't see well after those optic flares. Lisa, you think you could do any better?"

"shhh, it wasn't your fault," Raven presses her soft self against Liliath, her purring growing more intense. "Your mommy is a liar and you won't go home to her if I can help it." Although Raven isn't very sure that she can help it. She and Liliath come from very different places, and only the heavens know if they'll be able to return to the same place.
A few more fake sobs fade into deafening silence as the place processes what Seo had just said. Then something like a low chuckle permeates the building as the grocery store's doors swing open to politely show her the way out.
As Seo leaves, the town will completely fall asleep. No shifting happens in the dead of night, no more traps, either.

"Maybe, if the talking armor would be so kind as to put me down." Lisa's fear is gradually giving way to irritation at her current predicament. "I also have more medicine in my pack, and I know how to give first-aid. You can make your supply runs while I help him. And perhaps the newcomer could help one of us?" She looks around as well as she can, but she can't seem to spot Adam. Still outside? Lurking just out of her limited field of vision?

“It was my fault.” “If I was never there , then mommy wouldn’t kill Bella.” She didn’t even hear anymore what Raven said , she was so sad. “Maybe I can fix a new sister.”
