He smiled at that, laughed, laughed loudly, resonating through the streets of the town, before answering her, "Then you know nothing of the Pentatheon. Let me teach you of might that has brought guidance to countless planes!"

He spun the glaive into a reverse grip, putting the blade behind him, and lunged, the blade coming up in a broad ar from below, keeping the shaft in position to defend his body.
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

The seeker had quickly moved herself away before it even came near. She now was stood on all fours. She was almost in a cat-like stance as she shook. The blade that was in her hand had pierced through her own hand. She didn’t seem to care too much, though. She just wanted to get this done and over with.
The beast was quick. Moreso than him. How interesting, if unsurprising given it's smaller size and likely demonic heritage. He stepped back again, returning to his pre-strike stance, left hand and leg forward, spike out toward the threat. right limbs back, blad ready to be brought around from many directions.

Without magic or technology, the blessed blade was only as dangerous as it was strong and sharp, which, granted, was very, the godforged metal still bearing it's entirely mundane if impressive physical properties, but it was not enough to put the fear of the divine in the heart of this creature. Disappointing. He maintained his defensive stance. Such an agile foe needed to come to him. He did not want to make more movement-induced openings than he needed to.
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

The seeker slowly stood herself up, ripping the blade, which was now dripping with the fresh blood, out of her hand. She stood, waiting. The hook could maybe do some damage, but not as much as his own weapon. She dashed from one side to the other, probably to tease him a bit. Hunger was now starting to take over her, and with each of her movements, she seemed to get a bit closer. Hunger... Just that word made her more hungry. Ah, there it goes again...
Feinting him, looking for an opening. Slowly approaching, perhaps? His stance dropped slightly lower as he watched her. He had the advantage of reach, with the glaive built for a creature of his seven feet of height and, well, a polearm to a shorter blade, and he was armoured.... he would wait. He left his fingers ready at the catches which would collapse the long shaft and let him move it back to a sword if she somehow got within his reach, keeping his grip tight on the shaft.

He worked to keep focused: as patient as the glacier. Never his strong suit, but he would hold just a shade longer before he would strike again.
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

She continued to get closer, her mouth open, probably ready to dig right into whatever meal she can get. The Seeker eventually stopped. She just felt like she knew what he was going to do. She grinned, looking him up and down. He was too covered up for her comfort... she doesn’t want to bring cloth along with her food. She grasped the curved blade tightly in her hand, which now had a large slit on her palm. What an advantage for him... she was tired out.

Ah, the ice cold grip of the wind clawing at its pale grey skin, the darkness of the night slowly fading into a grim day, and, finally, a good show to start its "morning." The paralysis had drained from its body faster than it'd hoped, so its in a pretty good mood.

However, Vincent's gut is still sore and small lesions mar its skeletal body; it still might be some time before it fully heals. And it certainly doesn't feel up to murdering the likes of the beasts fighting at a broken intersection below.

It watches- studies -them carefully, not only enjoying some quality entertainment but analyzing their combat styles and skills. The corpse-like creature (what a fantastically horrific form to use later!) Is fast and seems resistant, if not immune, to pain. As for the dragon...damn, another tank. It rubs its tender stomach. I am not going to fight this one directly.

It waits for a good moment to intervene, thinking it will have to or else they might kill each other. Then the corpse just stops.Huh, interesting.

Well, now is as good a time as any to say hello- not as itself, of course. It leaps off of the old office building it was hiding on. Then it shifts before any heads turn its way. They'd now see a small girl, on her back, arms raised and eyes wide with terror, screams at the sight of the two monsters.
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

The cenobite had twitched. Hunger. Immediately, the Seeker dashed towards the source of the noise. Getting her food was all she seemed to care about now. As soon as she got close enough, she completely devoured the poor girl. Her need for (more) food had now died down, but not for long. Another twist with the puzzle box... click... nothing, again. She already just might have forgotten about the much larger creature, and was more focused on feeding. An eyeless demon-like figure eating away at a poor, innocent girl was probably quite a sight.

Nope. Not happening.

Vincent drops the disguise immediately. The "girl" twists away as her feet grows claws and kicks the demon away. Then it darts up the wall of the nearest building, wheezing laughter at the creature below.

"Good try, little corpssse!" It calls from the roof. It casually checks the bite wounds on its arm, Yeah, they hurt, but it knows that those marks will heal much faster than everything that stupid insect did to it.

So...this thing is not only fast, but fearless and hungry. Good. Vincent doesn't dare climb down again. Instead, it sits there and smiles.

"Dear, I'm sure there are better mealsss than I out here."
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

The Seeker growled. “I suspect you haven’t even heard of us? The cenobites? Not even the Hell Priest himself?” Her voice seemed maybe a bit deeper, probably from her annoyed tone. Same thing: Old flesh, new blood. Well, guess what’s coming back... “You believe we would let you go like that? They will come soon. The priest, and the rest.” The cenobite hissed, still grasping into the curved blade. The bleeding from her hand had stop, but the tiny sting remained.

Vincent shakes its dark head. "No, no I have not, but I'd love to learn." A grisly idea is growing in its head. Flatter her, make her like you, then guide her to the nearest fresh meat buffet to get the ultimate carnage.

"There are living things here much tastier than me and more vulnerable than that warrior there." It crawls, cautiously, partway down the building. Its long claws dig into the wall. "I save only the bessst for pretty things like you."
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

If she could, she would have squinted. But, as she couldn’t, she only tilted her head. She took a few quick steps closer. She didn’t seem to open her mouth to reveal the bloodied teeth, which meant she may not attack. She clipped the crimson blade back onto her hip. She nodded.
A greater threat, intending to put others in the way of this devouring monstrosity. The warpriest changes his focus, and sped toward the wall, collapsing the glaive's shaft down to return it to the sword-like shape. He had been fighting defensively before, that was his preferred style, but he figured he may as well do his best to give the monster a panic attack.

Upon reaching it, his wings spread as he let his claws grab the spaces between the bricks, helping him stay closer to the wall as he sprinted up it. His personal record for wall-running without magic was only around six meters, even with his wings, but he was figured that would be enough.

If her get close enough, that bladeis being brought as hard as it can into Vincent's skull. He would not let this creature use the corpse-monster to endanger others.

Bronze has his arms crossed as the exchange unfolded infront of him. Needless to say, he left the bickering to the women, or he thinks they are women. At least he knows that the vulpine-avian is a female, or he assumes she is. Again, he feels no assurance to everything. The creatures he is conversing with doesn't exist in his world.

For a woman of that age, hurting a child? Such immaturity. Bronze wonders if he is stuck in Purgatory or whatever the religious Mammalians called them. In his train of thought, he didn't realize that the silver vixen and Helynah has entered the store. He simply shrugged. "Ladies first, I guess.." Bronze muttered as he enteted the store himself, feeling contained between the glass walls. He kept his mouth shut just in case. Bronze doesn't have any clue what's in the shelf and how they work.

Helynah lets the fox-bird enjoy her food, uninterested in interuppting the meal of a hungry and probably predatory creature. Instead, she gathers supplies herself: the preserved meat she sees Victi enjoying, strange cylrindrical containers that have pictures of vegetables on them and a couple of kitchen knives which she tucks into a satchel hidden under her cloak.

As she searches, she catches sight of the young girl and smiles. "Hey, child." She kneels and gestures for Liliath to come to her. Likewise, she tries to catch Bronze's eye by waving so he'll come to hear what the child has to say.

Liliath looked up -after she put a knife in her pockets- “Yes?” She said walking over to Helynah . “What’s wrong?”

The lack of pointy teeth and small nod convinces it that she agrees, so Vincent slowly descends the building.

Then the dragon attacks, launching himself up the wall and swinging his sword at its head.

Vincent dodges, but not quite fast enough for the blade to miss completely. Instead of burying itself in its thick skull, it glances off the side of the monsters black shell. Vincent leaps off of the building, growing wings to match the warpriest so it glides and lands at the corner on the other side of the street.

It stands on two feet and morphs into Niskali's magnificent shape. The one feature it doesn't (it can't)steal is the dragon's complex shifting blade.

"Come, corpse!" It calls in Niskali's deep, resonant voice. "We mustn't keep breakfast waiting."
Oh, right, knives. Finishing off a can of what was.... okay, it was probably wet pet food, but it was still basically meat, Victi got herself up, feeling much less like her digestive tract was about to atrophy. Knives were good, but, if she could help it, she wanted to make sure she could get her clawed hands on a staff. Reach, blocking, otherwise being a big useful stick.... "If anyone can help me find something to use as a quarterstaff, that would be nice. I'm not expecting to find swords around here very easilly, but staves are great," she said to the others who had joined her. Oh, and dawn was breaking outside! Wonderf--- oh no.... nonononono. That was WAY too quick. Oh, that seemed like a BAD omen....
Bronze Nyx (played by Zevel)

A good selection of metallic items on the shelves. Are these even consumable? Bronze wondered, examining a can of... what seems to be meat. In his paws were the same can that Victi has, and the scent faintly suggests that it is indeed meat but... it smells completely different at the same time. Probably because it is contained in a metallic container? It is evident that the Felidae is very clueless on how to operate. He placed the can back on the shelf and went to explore inside the store, his eyes often glancing outside.

His eyes landed onto the variety of tools which he haven't also had a clue. He took a spatula between his paws and tested its durability by bending it. Unsatisfied by how easily it bent, he placed it down with he other weird-shaped tools. Bronze then took a knife from one of the many displayed— a cleaver. With that he is impressed, for he thinks it is a mini axe or something. He placed it down with the others, feeling that it is too large for him to handle. As he turned around to check on the others, he saw Helynah waving him over. Without anything to do, he shrugged and approached the two.
Seeker (played by WhatsInTheCube)

She rushed towards the larger figure. She now had a toothy grin plastered on her face. The Seeker, though not having that good of sight, had been quick to bring herself to its side. A soft purring-like sound came from the cenobite. She was getting hungrier, and more excited. But... “I am no corpse. I am a cenobite. I am oftenly called the Seeker.”
Daylight! Daylight! Sight returns! Time again to die for mother!

[The Bursters rise with the dawn, leaping from the window they had broken before, and began to fly out over the town, looking for something to splatter on]
