Scuti, a harsh and unforgiving land. The cold and snowy weather isn't the only thing that makes the nation an undesirable place to live, the laws and the culture of the land makes it a poor destination for a vacation, especially if you aren't human. Many of the humans of the land are viewed as pathetic creatures that aren't worthy of much, believing that they do nothing but take up space and are good for nothing more than labor or pleasure, these beliefs have turned into more than just hateful prejudices, rather it's cost these nonhumans their freedom. Every nonhuman the nation's military could find had been roundup and thrown into one of the many prison camps that dot the landscape to do who knows what. Some are used for physical labor, others were used for experimentation, others have been trained in the art of slavery, but no matter where you look, it seems these nonhumans haven't been given a lick of respect. Though many of the nation's citizens are perfectly fine with the way things are, they fail to remember that it these very prejudices that led the nation into a civil war just 20 years ago, a civil war that lasted for three decades.

However, some remember and many wish to change the nation's policies on how they treat the nonhumans, some don't really care for the nonhumans, some of these have extreme prejudice towards them, but they don't want to go through another war, which is bound to happen at any moment, but it isn't clear when or who's gonna throw the first punch. Alexander Ilane, the child of the first ruling family of Scuti and the most recent descendant of the capital's namesake, militia; the Serpent's Fang, led by him and the son of the nation's dictator, Austin have been working tirelessly to remove his father from power in order to restore the nation to how it was prior to the Great Genocide. However, they know, even if they manage to come out on top, there will be a lot of work to be done. People are resistant to change, especially those loyal to the country's leader, but they feel if they lose this battle, the treatment of the nonhumans could become even worse, they fear a genocide of the nonhuman of Scuti could follow or even another war between their people in the future. Pushing their fears back, they've begun plotting their moves, planning to attack some of the major cities while recruiting anyone who would be willing to join their fight. Will the Serpent's Fang be successful in toppling the oppressive government or will Scuti fall deeper into its hateful climate?

For this RP, I'm looking to play out the Third Civil War of Scuti. Whether you're joining Alexander and Austin in the fight to free the nonhuman races or joining with Ian and Scuti's military to keep them at bay is up to you, but just realize that Ian's forces (the guards of the capital) won't have much of a role in the story until later on, the early parts will heavily focus on the Serpent's Fang and their journey to the capital. Given that it is a wartime setting, combat will be frequent and will be largely freeform, but don't make it look like you're unbeatable. The military of Scuti isn't a pushover and you're likely to struggle quite a bit, the bitterly cold weather and frequent snowstorms will only make combat harder, even if your character is an experienced fighter, they will struggle quite a bit.

In Scuti, there are five cities that oversee prison camps, and these five will be where the major battles take place prior to reaching the capital. The first will be Roseshore, the closest to the Serpent's Fang hideout, from there we'll likely head to Drasir, then head to attack the rebuilding Taewe, possibly recruiting the help of the legendary dragon that resides in the nearby tower. Afterwards, Auberviel would be next before finishing off with Lifort in order to prepare for the final battle in Ilane. If we get that far and once the civil war itself has ended, we can discuss what'll happen from there. We'll also discuss which side will win, of course, this might change as well RP. Feel free to ask me questions regarding the plot. I'd like at least 2-4 people to join me in the RP.

If you decide to play the Akther, Rulites, Bailae, or Baigrus, your character must originate from Carinae, as that's where they were created. The Lavis may not do well in Scuti due to the extremely cold climate of the country, but you're more than welcome to use them. The dragons will be limited due to the extreme power of them, if you want to play a dragon, you'll need to convince me first.

While all these countries have variable technological levels, as a whole, the world itself is loosely based on the United States between 1880-1960, though weaponry is considerably less advanced. WW1 styled firearms do exist, but they're very unwieldy and are often dangerous to both the victim and the user. So, cell phones, MP3 players, and such do not exist in this world, Scuti itself is even less advanced than the rest of the world due to the extremely cold weather.

I don't have too many requirements for the RP, but there are a few.

• Don't power play. Everyone controls their own character and you aren't unbeatable.
• Please be patient when playing, not everyone will be able to post everyday. Give them time to make their posts.
• Please post at least a single paragraph per post, I'm not asking for walls of text or novels, just something to work with. Anything less than three lines won't be allowed.
• At least try to make an effort in your spelling and grammar, I'm not asking for perfection, we just don't want to waste hours of our lives trying to decipher what you wrote.
• Themes of racism, sexism, politics, and xenophobia will be frequent, so if those are triggering, avoid the RP.
• Combat will be frequent and will often be extensive, and because of this, mentions of blood will be frequent, so be wary.
