Trigger warning tags and titles are fantastic and useful to avoid something, but even then the tagged title can be unsettling for some people as it is.

I don't want to silence anyone, but I am afraid that certain forums are becoming triggering in a way that I cannot even enjoy them myself. I come to RPR to remain in a fantasy setting and escape troubles I've faced in my life. Like thousands of other users do. I am certain this has been suggested a hundred times over.

However, like facebook allows, I wish it was possible to "hide" specific things. I don't want to hide a user or anything like that, but instead hide threads in general.

Sometimes that tag at the top isn't enough or becomes the problem itself. My friends will comment on a blocked persons post and that will still show in my dashboard. A topic with a triggering title will show in my dashboard and I can't get rid of it unless I suddenly unfollow my friends, which I don't want to do, most especially for the more active ones.

I would just really like to be able to hide forum topics so RPR can remain the trouble free RP site that I came here for it to be.
I agree! Something like a system where you could set a list of words so that they will hide topics with said word(s) in the title or maybe even in the post?

I would be happy with just being given the option right next to reply and report that says "hide" so I can just get rid of it. I would want it to hide from my dashboard and the forum page.

That sounds alot easier on the codding work too.. I didn't think of that.
It's probably not really an option to code now, but if this could be a feature implemented when crafting (coding) the RPR version 2.0, that would be amazing and much appreciated. I love lurking the forums, but the ability to hide things that I deem extremely negative and potentially damaging to my mental health as I read it over and over again, (checking a particular forum multiple times for updates on topics I enjoy/to see what's new), would be invaluable.

I will look at this very seriously with the rebuild.
Personally I don't care to shield myself from anything. I dunno, maybe it's stubbornness. I don't ever use blacklist settings on anything and you bet your ass I've beat my head against the wall because of it more times than I can count.

But while I don't particularly care about what I see (despite sometimes really not liking what I see), it could definitely prove useful for some people.

THANK YOU, KIM. <3 I am looking forward to seeing where RPR goes with the rebuild. I know it's a long ways in the making, but I'm excited.

I completely agree, that would be awesome if there was a setting to do that.
I'd be super excited for this feature, too.
