"Awesome!" He slapped Acer on the back and walked up the board to the ship. "How much is the fair? If we survive that is!" He smiled and laughed a little bit as he fingered his cutlass' handle in anticipation of the adventure and nerves for the possible fight.
Acer let out a small grunt. Acer looked at griffon as if he already planned how to kill him. He got on the boat and went to a seating area, after passing griffon to say," I charted this boat a month ago, no fee." He sat down on a bench on the boat. "Don't get comfy." Acer pointed to a large boat, far bigger than a cruise ship. "We're only riding in this until we get to that one."
Griffon tilted his head as he boarded his ship. "A what?" He wasn't too familiar with ship termanology, although he frequently traveled on one to get from one place to the next. Sea travel is important to an adventurer dontchya know?
The storyteller looked back at Acer, "And well YOU charted it, do I still need to pay though?"
The storyteller looked back at Acer, "And well YOU charted it, do I still need to pay though?"
Acer sighed loudly from annoyance, "I told you there's no fee." They were about halfway thee before Acer stood up to walk to the edge of the boat. "Can you swim?"
Griffon joined him at the side of the boat. "Well yeah I can why?" Griffon learned early on that it was important for his backpack to be water tight and so it was. He also reluctantly learned how to swim and carry it. Thankfully it wasn't that heavy in the water.
They had reached out to sea, approaching the much larger boat. "Because not everyone can jump as high as me, and this boat isn't stopping." They were now about to pass the boat. Acer climbed on top of the wooden boats railing, shadowed by a much bigger boat that had "Giamminola" in big orange letters. "They were expecting us," Acer said pointing to a lowered life boat, in the water, but one that still had its roped attached, ready to be pulled up. "On the high chance that you cant jump ten stories high, we'll pull you up on that." Acer did a quick cheeky salute before saying, "See ya," and jumping, high into the sky on the larger boat.
"I hate people sometimes," Griffon mumbled before jumping in. He left a bubbly trail when he hit the water and it fizzed behind him when he surfaced. He swam to the little boat, pushing the bag in front of him. When e reached the boat Griffon pushed the bag up over the edge then claimed in. He tugged on the ripe to signal his readiness.
Acer smiled, "Didn't think so." With that, two crew members pulled up Griffon. Acer turned his back as they wet to help him out after securing the life boat.
Griffon waited as the boat was hoisted up to the deck and stepped off. He looked around and smiled. "How much planning for this have you really been doing?" He walked to catch up with the man who just jumped a tremendous height.
Acer raised his eyebrows, "Well i didn't plan on not having both maps." One of the crew members rushed to him with a towel, after bowing when passing Acer. "We are the only passengers on this ship, so we'll stop by the island. The boat's too big to go on the shore, so we'll take a speedboat when we're close enough."
Griffon took the towel and thanked the man before he responded to Acer. "Well aren't I lucky then?" He grinned. "If you have any normal boats I can row." All this ship talk was confusing Griffon, he never would learn it all. He started to dry off with the towel when he remembered the map. "As far as my half of the map, we might want to wait a while before I take it out of my pocket..." He patted the pocked under his shirt. A faint squishing noise came out.
Acer watched as some water sloshed out of Griffon's pocket with a disturbed look. "Anyway, it shouldn't be more than a day. We should get there tonight, and we'll sleep on the ship tonight so we can go in the jungle with daylight," Acer said before walking to a door. As he opened it he turned to face Griffon and say, "If you're hungry or tired, or just bored, follow me."
Griffon nodded, listening to Acer then followed him. "Well I'm all three so what have you got?"
Acer opened the door, revealing a large hallway, fit for royalty. It looked like the inside of a five star hotel, with doors along both sides of the hallway. "Follow me," Acer said as he went down the long corridor.
Griffon looked around and whistled as he followed the man. "I'm impressed. Let's see what else you have!"
Acer opened a at the very end of the corridor on the right. It was locked, and only a member of the Giamminola family's retinal scan could open it, or by finger print and code. It lead to a staircase, and at the bottom was a three way fork in the road. The carpet was gold at the end of the staircase, ad Acer turned to face Griffon. "Food," he said pointing to the left. "Entertainment," he said pointing down the middle. "Or rest?" Acer said this as he pointed down the right.
Griffon took the right for a nap. He was a man of medieval, not technology unfit of his world. He looked back. "Where do I sleep?"
Acer went right down the hallway. Armed guards stood at both sides of a door at the end of the corridor. The bowed slightly before opening the door for Acer. They walked into a giant room with a massive bed. Everything was lavish and luxurious. In the room lied another door to the right. It led to a small but still fantastic room. "You'll sleep in there," Acer said pointing to the smaller room. "We'll be there in the morning.....so yeah."
Griffon looked around before speaking. "Thanks." He went into the room, threw his pack onto the ground by the bed, jumped on it, and went to sleep.
Acer looked at his lifeless looking body, "How nice," he said somewhat mocking himself. Acer walked out the door to his entertainment wing.
