Tressa heard the word, then watched him as he fell asleep. She got up and took her blanket over. Hesitantly, she crawled up onto his lap and snuggled in, draping the blanket over both of them. She was still a bit sleepy, so falling asleep against Dmitri's warm body was no trouble at all.

Dmitri woke up with the sun that next morning and looked down at the odd lump in his lap, then laughed quietly when he saw it was Tressa. He gently brushed some hair out of her eyes then set her on the bed and went out of their room. He stretched in front of the immense fire out that was in the center then ordered himself a sweet roll and some deer meat with a side of eggs.

Tressa stirred not long after she was set in the bed, and when she woke up to find her new dad gone, she quickly scrambled out of the room to find him. She spotted him quickly, and went over to sit beside him. She was very quiet for a few moments, looking at him intently, and then said the words she had always longed to say. "Good morning, daddy." She smiled up at him shyly.

He smiled down at her, "Good morning, Tressa," he stroked her head with his free hand, "Did you sleep well?"

Tressa nodded. "Yeah. Did you?" She looked at his food, then up at him. "Can I get some too?" She couldn't help but be hungry as well!

He smiled and cut his sweet roll in half then handed it to her to keep her sated until the food for her arrived.

Tressa smiled and took the sweet roll, munching on it happily. "Thank you." she said politely. She ate the sweet roll while she waited, and when her own food came, she started to eat that. "When are we gonna get on the horse again, daddy?"

"When we're done breakfast. You can play around here first for a while if you want."

Tressa nodded. "Yeah, I wanna." She smiled a bit and then finished her breakfast. When she was done, she got up and hurried about, running around a little and exploring the immediate area, never leaving her father's sight. When she felt she had played around enough, she came back. "Ok, I'm ready now!"

He smiled and nodded. He had been talking with a wood elf and gave him a good bye before putting Tressa on the horse.

Tressa sat straight on the horse this time, her hands on the reigns as well to 'help' steer the horse. She rode along with her father happily, looking around at everything they passed.

He smiled and very slowly let go of the reins, allowing Tressa to hold them by herself.

Tressa's eyes widened when he let go. She held onto the reins carefully, a bit nervous now. But she held them like her father did, and smiled when everything seemed to go well!

The horse continued on at decent clip.

Tressa would eventually give the reins back to her father, and just relax against him while they rode. Sooner or later they would need to stop to let her run about again, but until then, she was patient and relaxed.

Dmitri finally took her off the horse as they came to the town of Ivarstad at the foot of the tallest mountain in Skyrim and all of Tamriel. There were two other children in the small village.
"You can go see if they'll play. I'll get us a room at the inn."

Tressa smiled. "Okay!" She hurried over to the two other children, and soon the three of them were playing happily. She ran about with the children until Dmitri would fetch her.

He finally did when the moon began to rise and he led her to their room then started tucking her in, "How was your day?"

Tressa smiled as she was tucked in, and she settled under the covers happily. "It was great! How was your day, dad?" She reached out to take his hand. "Are you gonna sleep in a real bed tonight, daddy?"

He smiled and sat down on the side of the bed, "These inns only have one per room unfortunately," he shrugged, "I can sleep in the chair again..."
