"He's an elf," Kori said, panting as he caught up with Ryoran. "Gosh, you're fast."
Crysor was waiting for them at the steps of the library, tapping a foot absentmindedly. He jerked his head at the door, glancing down at the stone before going inside.
"Great, a library," Kori mumbled. "I like books but books don't like me."

"I have to be." Ryoran replied to Kori referring to the fact that he was thief and walking fast had saved his neck many times. Of course, he still didn't know this. He sighed. "I can relate with that." The truth was, that he could barely read. He had never have to before so he never learned.

"I mean, they're fun to read and all, but somehow I always manage to set them on fire. Don't ask me why," the hobbit grumbled, struggling up the steps.
Crysor was already poking around in the shelves, looking for a certain book an ignoring everyone else.

"You remind me of a friend." He chuckled as he came into the library, searching for Crysor. He couldn't be missed; as much as the guy seemed to prefer solitude, he stood out like his grandmother with her christmas outfit. "Look, there he is."

"I do? That's fascin- I SEE HIM!" Kori ran over to Crysor, almost bouncing off his leg. "Watcha looking at?"
Crysor glanced down at him, raising an eyebrow, and continued looking.
Kori just stared up at him like o3o

Ryoran watched amused as Kori ran towards the elf. "What are we doing here, Pointed Ears?" He asked when he reached them. The library wasn't too crowded, and it had that weird smell libraries always had.

Crysor frowned slightly and shot Ryoran a dagger of a glare. He pulled a thick book off the shelf and deposited it on a table, flipping through the pages searching for something specific.
Kori stood up on his tiptoes, his head barely coming up over the table edge.

Ryoran laughed at his annoyed expression, waving it off. He was still there just because of the stone. Why couldn't he just give it back? He leaned to see what the book was about, even though he didn't understnd much.

He finally found his page and pointed to a caption, tapping it repeatedly.
"The- the- the stone- stone- DANGIT. THIS IS POINTLESS." Kori gave up the hopping-up-and-down idea to read and instead pulled up a chair and stood on that so he could read properly. "The Stone of Tuilain... Huh."
Crysor nodded vigorously, holding the little stone out in his large hand. It matched the picture next to the caption.

(Hmmm.... Got it! It can turn things into silver )

"Oh." From the little he could read, he gathered that it was an elf artifact. Now he got why he had been so pissed. He sighed and shook his head. "I need it." He hadn't read the part about the power it had. He just knew it was shiny and it was his.

Kori devoured the paragraph greedily, his wide brown eyes flicking down the page. Then he suddenly gasped, sputtered, and fell off the chair. "ASFDJGL!"
Crysor smiled slightly, pulling the flailing hobbit up by his collar.

Ryoran looked at him with a confused expression. Sure the thing was shiny and looked important, but what could've impressed the little man like that? "Hey, what happened?" He asked Kori as the head librarian did a 'shh' gesture to them.

"DUUUUUDE, IT TURNS STUFF TO SILVAR!" Kori yelled, completely ignoring the librarian.
Crysor smiled, nodding sagely, though he waved a hand at Kori to lower his voice.

Ryoran widened his eyes. "Even better! Give it to me." He extended his hand with his palm up towards Crysor. The tanned skin was a little dirty.

Crysor tilted his head, tapping the page again.
Kori leaned over and kept reading. "Huh... 'Beware using this stone, however, because if you do, there are multiple things that could happen. The stone was once owned by a demon, so you could release the demon; the stone could turn you to silver; or it could simply do nothing at all and explode."
Crysor shrugged, trying to keep from smiling.

Ryoran's face fell. "That sucks." He rolled up his sleeves and approached the book, leaning to try to read what it said. "Let me see that. Blah blah blah...d-d-demon... l-liver, no, silver... e-explode..." He sighed. "Fine."

"Need help?" Kori asked, leaning over again.
Crysor studied the small stone a moment before placing it on the table and crossing his arms.

He shook his head, closing the book. "No, it's okay." Glancing at the stone, he swatted his hand at it. "Fine, keep it. You win, Pointed ears."

Crysor scowled at him again, pulling a cloth out of his small pack and wrapping the stone in it. Kori couldn't help but giggle at the irked look on the elf's face.

"What will you do with it?" He asked curiously, taking one of the stolen coins from his pocket and tossing it absentmindly. "If you use it to go and make a lot of silver then be prepared cuz I'll never leave your side in that case."
