The reason eating shelled pistachios is fun is because it's...like...an interactive experience.

There are a surprising number of fantasy related emoticons.

Sometimes it's easier to write a one sentence small-talk forum post response than writing an RP response, especially when you want the RP response to be really good.

A lot of people who have never ridden the bus think it's really scary but it's not, at all. In most places.

The reason you can blow your nose in tissues but it's harder to in a lot of paper towels is because the tissues have little holes for airflow.
People are a lot more kind and courteous than the media (news, movies, etc) would have us believe. I've had many more pleasant experiences with other people throughout my entire life than the opposite.

Hm. Well there you go. Mystery solved.
Sometimes, the only remedy you need is a good nap.
When you're the only one without a phone in a room filled with phones, you're the most aware and the most lonely
Sometimes, those you meet online would be better friends than those IRL. It may not apply to everyone, but that's how it's been for me. (I can't say that they are better friends because...uh...that's hard to explain. I think you get my idea, though...hopefully.)

Well, it makes sense, because online you have access to a larger pool of potential friends, and so it's easier to find nice ones, whereas in person, you usually only have access to the people who either live near you, go to your school, or work with you.

Plus online like-minded people tend to end up on the same sites, so...you find this treasure trove of artistic, smart, literate people on sites like this, for example, and it's easier to make friends with them because we already have so much in common right out of the gate.

Of course, I wonder sometimes if it's easier to be nice to people when you can choose when and in what way to interact with them. IRL you often have to interact (at work, for example), even on your worst days and their worst days.

And I also sometimes wonder if one reason it's easy is that people fill in the blanks in their mind with whatever they want to believe/with whatever they like. Like...if someone doesn't know my mannerisms, they might imagine me saying the things I say with whichever mannerisms they like best. They might imagine me smiling when I'm not, or blushing, or imagine my tone being a certain way. And since they imagine what they like, they like me more maybe than they would IRL. But then again maybe they would like me even MORE in real life, because of those same qualties. It's impossible to say! But I like to think that my best RpR friends and I would absolutely hit it off IRL and be great friends.

Know what you mean!
