Pulling her heeled feet down the darkened street, a young Devil Hunter by the name of Star, seemed to be surveying the area in search on something or perhaps someone. Her twin pistols by her side, she slowly made her way down the street. A car would pass by every once and a while showing her odd styled outfit in the person's headlights. The outfit was of a mix of a reddish color and black. The shirt stopped right above her belly which gave room to show off her tribal moon marking or maybe it was a tattoo of some sort.
Stopping in her tracks she released a heavy sigh, "Where did that thing go? She muttered saying a few other choice of words as she glanced around the darkness. The city seemed dead as Star was the only one that seemed to be out, well except for the rare sight of the cars going by.

Seated awkwardly on the handrail of a refurbished fire escape, Eve glared from beneath her brow at the individual wandering the streets. It was an aberration of the norm to see a young woman peregrinate the city streets of her lonesome. Were it not for the placement of street lights, Eve may have lost sight of the girl between headlight flashes. Finally, she decided to take action.
Remember, she reiterated to herself, she might be human. There was an emphasis on the word might, even in Eve's own inner monologue. Personally, she couldn't care less of what specie this individual might be. Weird is as weird does, and this was definitely topping Eve's list. She held both hands close to her hips, despite being visibly unarmed. Eve, however, carried herself as if she had hidden within her garb an army upon which to call were conflict to arise.
Thus, she neared her new prey.

Star turned her head to the side as if she had heard something move; though it was faint her hearing wasn't of a normal human. Is that it? She shook her head. "No it can't be it can't fly... Can it?" Turning her head back in front of her, she continued on down the sidewalk her heel making somewhat of a tapping sound as they hit the asphalt, Star kept a hand hovering over one of her guns just incase it the creature was indeed behind her ready to attack.
Raising her other hand she whispered a few odd words as she spoke a flame formed in the palm and seemed not to burn the female at all. "That's better now I can see." She said to herself her lips formed a small smile as she held the hand out as if it was a lantern. Making her stroll on down she came across an amandine hotel. As she walked closer she saw that there was a large gash on the door. "Most of when in here." She announced lifting her leg she kicked the door full force shattering the wood into thousands of pieces. "Here we are." Jumping over a large piece of the wood she entered the building.

When Star would turn her head in one direction, Eve would walk in the other. This would keep the girl guessing as to whom it was following her, which all the while would buy more time for Eve to decide exactly what her plan was.
Then, as if this night hadn't been strange enough, a spell fell upon the woman's ears. Scowling, she was convinced -- this girl was her target. How long, though, could she follow without being fully noticed? Eve took advantage of the fact that almost every city's architecture was practically the same. Streets converged in four-way intersections to form blocks, and turning down the wrong street could be as easily remedied as turning twice more. Taking advantage of this, she'd make a left, sprinting after she'd escaped Star's earshot so as not to allow her stiletto heels give away her intentions. Then, she would take the next two immediate right turns, bringing her right back to Star's tail end, only slightly farther behind. On occasion, she Eve would take the liberty of leading, knowing that she could keep an eye behind her through the reflection of store windows.
When Star had reached her destination, Eve took refuge 'round the corner of an adjacent building, awaiting her target's entry and ultimate entrapment. There was nothing worse for prey to do than place itself between its predator and a wall. Buildings only had so many exits -- every window was a possible exit, as well as two doors and a rooftop stairwell. Aside from these were the rare balcony, but they were not present on the inner-city buildings such as this one. No, that was far too ritzy for the slums.
After a brief wait, Eve followed the girl through the doorway.

The failure of light's presence. Of course, what a time for such an entity to arrive into this mortal verse. The sky itself had begun to spiral, twist and ripple outward from and to a single point. No clouds generated, only this sky-frozen distortion of events. A few lightning bolts struck from the left, zig-zagging to the right and vice versa, almost to say the earth's life force itself were trying to prevent what was coming. From a dwelling known to the knowledgeable as Avarice fell a body from the sky out of the twisted and mangled star-written canvas. Just this single entity, free falling.
Unconscious for the moment and earth-bound it had taken some time before eyes opened to see and grasp the rapid descent. Seeing just in time to notice the top of one of the buildings just barely clip his form he was able to see himself in the flickering reflections of each passing window. I'm falling. Time was running short. Adjusting his head to look 'up' toward the incoming concrete he immediately braced himself for impact, however the spirits this vessel harbored had other plans in store than to led that which harbored them be destroyed. Tangible shape was lost and traded for a shapeless black smog that impacted the ground as the mist from dry ice would if released in high volume.
Scattered across the streets, the dense thick haze congregated to a single point, re-taking the shape of the individual it had been just moments before laying on his back. Eyes opened after thoroughly regaining tangible constitution to watch the buckled and twisted sky from which he fell regain its tranquil appeal. "Right. Climb a tower and fall from the sky." The tone he held carried some aggravation. Rather than writhe in his own mangled thoughts his attention was grabbed by an obnoxious 'clicking' sound of constant repetition. Shifting his head to look 'up', he saw the shadowy silhouette of another entity just when she turned the corner. The rest of the region seemed, dead, to say the least aside from the uncoordinated white noise sounding from far distances.
Rolling over onto his front he pushed himself to stand up all the while holding his head. "Temporal energy; not something I'd be getting used to." Not even a second later came a loud CRASH. Divine was hurled down the street immediately. Late night speed drivers. The vehicle came to an abrupt halt despite Divine's; much lighter body than the half ton or so sports modeled car, skipped, tumbled and skid down asphalt paved roads. Caught completely off-guard as he was not familiar with the traditions or ways of this 'planet'. Wherever Divine touched the asphalt, where there should have been blood was instead the same black haze as before. For a moment or two Divine just laid there in growing rage before picking himself up. The black haze crawled its way to him and returned to the areas of the body in which were left gaping and gashed open, revealing what could be said to look like as boiling tar in a micro-sense.
One staggering step turned into a full-on dash just when the doors opened; assuming the driver(s) of the car were going to get out and see if he were 'alright'. Halting directly in front of the sporty automotive his fist collided with the hood with seeming tremendous force. The back-end of the car were lifted up just when a bright green pulse of energy erupted outward from his fist in a ring shape as the metals and such were being coiled and twisted into a compressed ball of its components no bigger than a baseball. "That hurt!" Shouted the enraged creature. The driver had quickly abandoned the car and had begun to crawl away in deathly fear. Divine's stomach rumbled as the compressed ball of metal were tightly grasped in hand while the other were placed over his stomach. "Meh..I need sustenance." Then an idea came to him.
Devilishes eyes peered to the now sprinting human whom was met with a javelin comprised of their own car right through the spine. The next few moments consisted of flesh tearing, blood spilling and bone crushing gore as Divine tore into the human's flesh neverminding the bloodied mess he'd be coated with for he found the taste...appetizing.

Pushing broken boards out of her way Star struggled to make her way through the collapsed building. From the outside it looked just as if abandoned, but inside was a different story. The celling looked as if it would fall in at any moment along with the several levels about her. Nevertheless she pushed on in search of whatever it was that had went through the place.
For a moment she stopped hearing a large array of distinct noises coming from on down the street, it was distant, however she picked up on it looking in the direction as she listened. No time to worry about other things She though brushing the sounds from her mind. As she made her way on she came to the elevator that were clearly out of order. "Great. Now where are those damn stairs?" She muttered glancing around she noticed a doorway that had been busted in. Dragging her feet along she entered the room to find the stairwell, it had seen better days and most of the stairs where gone.
Letting a light sigh come from the female's lips she jumped up to the only visible stair which was around four or so feet away. The floor between her and the step was no more showing only a deep endless drop leading who knows where. Ascending through the platforms that once were stairs she made several large jumps some of perhaps six or sever feet to reach to the next floor. This hotel seems endless. As she began to quicken her pace she pulled herself up onto the last floor, breathing a tad heavier her lips formed a smirk. "Wasn't so hard." She said puling her heels to the door leading to the roof, without caring what was behind the door she reached for the knock and turned it.

Crush, gnash and squish. Divine had spent some time feeding on the corpse he so precisely skewered with the ruggedly made javelin. Some of the body was still intact when he was finished, standing up wiping his mouth with an arm soaked in the warm crimson fluid which only smeared it more-so across his jawline. A joyous smile graced his bloodied lips as he turned to where he had seen the silhouette vanish into. One step forward and his entire world seemed to have been turned upside-down as he suddenly curled himself, tucking his knees into his chest, tightly grasping at the bloodstained pant legs. To the medically acclaimed, someone could say he had a sudden panic or anxiety attack. Wide eyed and quaking he fell forward. Hands planted on the cold asphalt in front of him as a few winces and sounds of simpering left his throat.
Abruptly, it all ceased. Head jolting up to eye the building he seamlessly giggled; completely out of place for the events that transpired. Hopping up on his feet he ran over to the same building his eyes had been set on. "I wonder who went in here!?" In almost a childlike gesture as he ran forward at a regularly acknowledged pace with arms spread wide as though he were a plane, pretending to fly. His entire persona seemed to have just taken a complete turn in another direction. Rather than following directly after the silhouette he took a less.. conventional route. From the first floor window sill to the next, he scaled these in simple leaps from left to right going higher and higher. "Up and up and up and up!" Childishly shouting to himself during his acrobatic rise. This had become some sort of game to this new personality to a just a newly formed entity. The roof had become the point in which he stopped his ascent, obviously due to lack of further floors. Unaware of what exactly was on the roof , solely conscious of the entity that had entered the building on the ground floor.
Into the air and landing in a handstand sort of fashion. "Ta-da~!" A big grin plastered from ear to ear in self-glory of having achieved reaching the top. "Now to the real game." The childish voice held some persistance. Bending and placing his foot on the ground in display of his flexibility he stood up, but was met face to face with another creature, perhaps something he was more familiar with. The door to the roof had already started opening, but the swinging motion did not attract his eyes more than the creature before him.

Star had just made her way through the doorway before hearing the most oddest of laughter as if it was a child following her. Turning quickly as she felt the presence becoming closer, and closer, her eyes widened as a being emerged from the doorway in a lightening speed. Shoving herself out of its way she landed in an offensive position having her hand on one of her pistols, though she knew if it was a demon the guns probably would have little effect if of any to the being Feeling the strong presence of the stranger she saw he looked to be of a male human. Nevertheless his power showed differ, if he was indeed of a demon he would be of a higher kind with a hell load of power and being alone she questioned if she could take him on herself.
Seeing the being standing a maybe ten feet from her, Star questioned if he was on her side or would he attack her in a matter of moments. Keeping her eyes upon him she raised her right hand above her head slowly then chanting a few words she swiftly brought the hand down to her hip. As the motion happened a white mist formed around the hand as a weapon was being formed from it. The hand came to her side, the weapon, an angelic sort of sword, was now present. It looked to be made out of a shimmering glass, though if given the chance she would prove it was indeed a deadly blade made of no shattering substance.
The sword she called Lyght was in a relaxed position be her side. However Star could bring it into an attack at any given moment. Placing her free hand on her clothed hip she took the chance to ask the male a couple question, unknowing if he would even care to answer. "State your race and name, male." She said as of a slight command. Looking at her you would think of the woman to be of a quiet, shy, and very fragile girl, but as she can show her looks meant nothing. Having a pretty face got you so far, she had learned that as years went by.

Focusing his vision on her, taking in the events that solely transpired around her. A look of wonderment and awe came over his still rather bloodied expression. "Divine!" He answered in a giddy joy of his own. Assaulting her was the last thing on his mind as he was full from his very recent meal of human flesh which he left in the middle of the street. From the gleeful expressions of a child with the voice to match, was suddenly overcome with that of disdain and a chilling, fresh new grimace. Arms wrapped around his abdominal region as he hunched over. Stifled simpering could be heard from his throat as he fell to his knees. A grumbling from his stomach also accompanied the simpering. "Ow.. my tummy..hurts." Cheeks puffed out and soon a violent flow of blood and chewed up gore, some remnants of his meal were regurgitated.
Coughing and hacking up bits and pieces from his throat, the voice of a child ebbed and was beginning to take on the echo of a female. "Ooo.. I think I ate too much." Head still directed earth-bound and arms coiled around his stomach in futile attempts to ease the aches. "You know, sweety. I don't have any intentions to harm you." Rising to a stand as Divine's hands repositioned themselves in a more relaxed poise with one hand on hip. Looking her from head to toe Divine's lips curled in a coy smirk. "You can put the blade away. I'm new to this whole world and am more curious to understand it than destroy it. Besides." Raising the arm left hanging limp to lazily point at her. "I don't think there's time to have some drawn out fight when I haven't even gotten used to this new body yet. On top of that." The same finger pointed upward. "Where I came from there are hordes more marching up a tower to come from the same portal I came from so let's find that 'creature' you were stalking and rid the nuisance so we can move on to more important matters, hmm?"
Kneeling down in a feminine posture to place the tip of two fingers on the ground. The entirety of the solid matter they so perched themselves upon pulsed with a green light going outward from the point of contact. "Oh and do mind my being a mess, dear. I got hungry and tried the specie of creature here for the first time. Delightful, but crunchy in the middle." Sure enough this version of Divine spoke far too much, more than the 'others'.
