I used to keep mine basic: pages were pages, info was info, I didn't really care. And then I began naming pages after lyrics of a theme song, and that developed into having specific pages for specific info.
Now, I'm going through all my characters and revamping them completely. While the layout is staying the same, I've decided to add more coding to format my text first. This is a lot of effort but I can't wait for the end products.
What I want to know (and see) is how everyone else formats theirs! (Partly for inspiration too lmao).
I've seen people who use a ridiculous amount of coding, some who use the setup wizard, and others who used to be like me: simple and semi-plain.
So.
how do you format your character profiles?

If I have the time and space, i usually try to keep it relatively simple and easy to navigate so like.. basic info, history, skills and talents.. that kind of thing.
But because of the limit on slots I admit, i've taken to ramming characters from the same setting/genre into one page lol. I'm bad.

Haha, nah! I know a few people who do the same thing. I think as long as people can easily figure out where each character is, it's fine
I do like a nice ordered page though. I quite like having the history section on a second page, along with anything that maybe shouldn't be immediately available.
Like, appearance and personality I like to have right at the front but then have the "you don't need to read this stuff, it might come up in the rp" stuff on another page.
For a while I was quite enjoying doing personality in two sections as well. the "how they come across" sort of superficial personality and then the deeper psycho analysis "digging deeper" part lol.
I'm not sure if I have any examples of that here.
I also like to split history into nice chunks like "early life" "teen life" "important formative thingie" lol. Just to make it easier to find information but also so it's less of a huge text dump.
https://www.rprepository.com/site.php?char=97536&page=222262 this one is a good example of how I would ideally like my sheets ordered.
Basic info like appearance and personality on page 1, then skills for my own easy reference more than anything else (ahahah, I seriously need to reference these things, I forget otherwise), History comes last and relationships IF I think they're at all important (in this character's case he's linked to a few other characters who tend to appear in any rp I do with him as npcs so they're worth bringing up) but I also like having a "vampire traits" page on my vampire sheets and would do a "species traits" page on anything non human that needed detailed explaination (like any of my aliens for example)
ALL my vampires have a "vampire traits" section because they're all different and I use it to reference but I also just really like building vampire lore hahaha.
I actually have a template I tend to use for character sheets (as in, a list of categories/sections) but I don't always use all of them. It depends on the character and how much I know about them, feel I NEED to know or someone else might want to know and how much time and effort I feel like putting into fleshing the whole thing out.
A lot of it is honestly for MY benefit/reference more than the reader. I refer back to my character sheets constantly so they need to be relatively easy to navigate to find the bit i'm checking lol.

Varies. Some I keep simple. Some I get playful or a little fancy with.
How info gets divided often depends on what info I feel needs to be there. For example, a couple characters include a sort of origin story, one has a page of weird poetry, another has a page just for items he commonly carries around, one has a page for a D&D specific version, etc.

I usually have two pages. One is about the character, the other is guestbook, kudos, connections.
On the first page, the about page, I have a single full sized photo - then 'basic information' then another single full sized photo - then backstory - then another single full sized photo, - then a gallery with any other images.
I'll occasionally format in gifs and youtube videos. I often change the font type, and color.
I only have a few characters that have pages name in a elegent quote type manner, I usually pick a quote from an RP they are in, or I pick something I think they'd say or people would say about them. Some of my characters have a 'playlist' page with just songs.
