Kimmy was walking. Walking away from her past. Trying to forget but still so consumed with her thoughts. Her wrists are burning and knows they are still bleeding from the cuts she had just done but refused to look. She was just so alone. No family, no friends, no conn- 'what was that' she thought. She looked up and saw a person, male probably. 'Why in the world is someone in my forest' she thought, immediately irritated. 'well I guess I have to go say hi now.' and started towards the unknown person.
Aedan was kneeled down at a small patch of flowers. "Such a lovely flowers you are." He said as his lips formed a warm smiled. Plucking one he rose up onto his feet placing the small plant under his nostril to take a whiff of its delectable scent. He had ventured into the forest to get away from his hometown, though he was tempted on just moving here.. away from the annoying people. However he was dealing with another problem besides the townsfolk, though he wasn't sure exactly on what it was yet..
She approached slowly and carefully trying not to be noticed. "He seemed nice, I mean he was in a patch of flowers right?" She thought. She got close enough to see his face and realized all her anger was gone along with her confidence. She never know how to just start up a conversation like this. "Maybe I should break a stick or something to get him to look up or just go back before he notices? No that's rude. Hmm" she thought while peering through a tree to get another look at the stranger.
Raising his free hand Aedan ran it through his lock of auburn hair. He released a light sigh turning to look in the direction that Kimmy was hiding. Glancing around he tilted his head noticing something out of place. What is that? He placed the flower behind his ear for a moment as he walked slowly closer to the brush that was in front of her. Reaching down he picked up a small piece of cloth. Holding it up he examined it. "Now why is there cloth here?" He asked a loud.
"Oh uh that's mine" she said as she tried to untangle herself from the tree. "I uh was just" she stopped realizing she was making a fool out of herself. But she had successfully released herself from the tree. Now what do I say! she looked down trying to figure out what to do next.
Looking up Aedan saw a young female had appeared muttering as if she was unable to come up with a hello of some sort. Letting a small chuckle escape he gave her a warm smile. "Well hello there, whom are you?" He asked holding out the cloth. "Is this of yours?" His voice shown of a Irish accent, though it was only noticable on certain words.
"Uh yea it's mine. Sorry. Uh hi, I'm Kimmy" she said with a weak smile. She felt a little calmer when she saw him smile fore he seemed to be quite friendly. "Who are you?" Still afraid to trust him. "You don't sound like you're from around here." She giggled a little as she brushed the hair out of her eyes and looked up.
Seeing the girl opening up to actually speak he reached up giving her the small piece of cloth. "Aedan Kian, it is a pleasure to meet 'ya." He said looking around for a moment then his green eyes fell upon the girl again. HIs eyes were much of a brighter green then most as they seemed to glow in any place given. "Aye, I wasn't born here I'll say that much dear. Nevertheless a question to you, why were 'ya hiding behind there?"
"Well you see, I sort of come here often and I'm not too good with people so I hid instead" she giggled "I'm weird I know" she was standing in the shade and felt trapped so she squirmed her way to the open patch of flowers and crossed her arms and plopped down. She stared at Aedan waiting for him to follow her lead.
Chuckling he took a seat beside her. "Well no worries to that dear, I used to be the same way." He said pulling the flower from behind his ear he held it in front of him. "But why were you hiding here, in the forest? Don't you have a home, parents perhaps?" He watched her as she seemed uneasy.
She Quickly glanced at her wrists to see the damage and looked up. She knew these questions were going to come. "Uh well you could say this is my home. I don't like people much" saying this she realized she had never had to answer these before. It was just her and found herself at a loss of words. She scrunched her face at her lack of social skills.
Noticing her wrists Aedan raised a brow. "Slow down, no need to get a jumbled up. Just answer me this... what happened here?" He lifted his hand and lightly placed it across one of her wounded wrists. He then look to her. "No nee to be afraid, no one shall hurt you while I'm around." He announced giving her a reassuring smile.
"Thanks" she smiled then it vanished. "I've done it to myself. It's complicated." She paused to make sure she doesn't cry in front of a stranger. "Look,it doesn't really matter" desperate for a topic change. "What brought you to my er this forest? Tell me a little bit about yourself"
Pulling his hand away he release a light sigh allowing her to change to topic. "I come here to get away from the town and the people." He said turning his gaze to the ground to see a could of ants marching their way by. "Like you I don't care much for people.. but that is due to I guess a problem I have developed." HIs tone seemed at tad on the depressed side though he tried to hide this not to worry the young girl.
"Hey what's bothering you? If it's cuz I didn't want to talk ill talk to get you to smile again" And offered a week smile. "How can I help you?" And bent down to left his gaze onto her own again
"Ah it's nothing to be bothered about." He said returning the question, "No, that is a question to you, how may I help you? Do you have a place to stay?" He asked looking to see the sun was starting to set. "I will be dark soon." He then rose to his feet looking down at her seeing on what her answer would be.
" Yea,I've made a hammock not too far from here...if you call that a place to stay" she giggled and stood up with Aedan. "Like I said before, I Kindof live here" she said trying to brush off the conversation that just occurred. While thinking of a way to to help Aeron and how to get him to tell her she looked at him just smiling slightly.
"Oh? But someone can't live in such a place alone, how do you get food and such?" He asked looking to her he turned hearing a rustling in the brush a few feet from the two. "Well I think we better be leaving now.." He stated not knowing what the noise came from. "Come now." As he spoke to noise came again, however this time louder.
"What was that?!" Kimmy exclaimed trying not to sound frightened."I am here all the time and I have never heard that before!" She moved a little closer to Aedan "as for the food and stuff I know how to hunt and how to build fires, but I mostly go into town" pointing to the opposite direction Aedan was facing "they feel bad for me and give me food sometimes" she looked to Aedan's face to see if he approved. "Where do you want me to go exactly?" Still sounding nervous from the sound.
Placing an arm around the girl pulling her against his side in a protective way if it was needed. "I'm not sure what it is, but let me walk you home then." He said offering. "Just incase." He pulled her lightly onto the dirt road and released his arm. "Lead on, and no worries I'll protect you with me life." His lips curled into a soft smile.
