So how about Labyrinth? Wasn't David Bowie absolutely radiant? Or Legend. Wasn't that a thrilling story about Light vs Darkness?
What's Dark Crystal like, I've never seen it?
Talk to me about fantasy movies! : D

Haven't seen the Dark Crystal.
I started watching it but I got kinda bored? (Sorry Dark Crystal lovers out there)
My favorite fantasy movie is Pan's Labyrinth! It's a dark fairy tail and the movie that got me hooked on Del Toro's work! ❤️
I also love Big Fish. It is a bit more "realistic" fantasy movie

Dark Crystal was amazing! I love the idea of a whole world that knows about the magic and monsters, as opposed to a world like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson (The books were better for the latter) where magic is only open for a select part of the populace.
I have a friend who did a review of The Dark Crystal. It terrified him, because he apparently can't handle puppets despite... using one.
It's definitely not the kind of crazy action thing we're used to, but it's a neat little piece of fantasy. The others you mention are pretty cool, too.

Check out the artbook called The World of the Dark Crystal to get a real appreciation of the serious thought, care and detail that went into fleshing out the setting of that movie.

Pan's Labyrinth was absolutely gorgeous! I loved it very much! And Big Fish is wonderful. A movie that always makes me cry
I loooove fantasy films!
I definitely agree about Pan's Labyrinth, it's a beautiful film and I'd highly recommend it. Stunning soundtrack, although a couple of scenes have the potential to be quite distressing so look out for that.
I personally think Willow is a timeless classic as well; it came out round about the same time as Labyrinth I believe. Plus The NeverEnding Story.
Also simply because it's so bad it's beautiful, Dungeons & Dragons from 2000 is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves high fantasy just for Jeremy Irons's acting alone. I don't care what anybody says is negative about that film, watching it makes me feel all happy inside.
P.S. Just look how epic the trailer for it is ahahaha I can't. This film is gold.

Ahh, Willow was great! I remember watching that as a small child and loving it so much. It, along with Studio Ghibli's Laputa are two movies from my childhood that inspire me to this day, I love them
