Kin pulled the hood more over her face before walking ouside.

"So do you want to go to the diner?". Lucifer asked starting down the uneven cobblestone road.

She followed him." I guess."

Lucifer walked down the street until he got to the stables. He whistled and two horses came out, Sapphire and Kin's horse. Lucifer gave each of them a carrot and mounted Sapphire. "The diner is on the other side of town and unless you want to walk, I suggest you mount." he said taking off down the road with a grin.

Kin blinked before mounting Strider and going after Lucifer.

Lucifer was halfway to the diner when he finally saw kin catch up. He slowed Sapphire down to talk to her really quick before they got to the diner.

Kin slowed down to stay next to him.

"If you don't want anyone to question you in the diner, I can make sure they don't." He said sincerely briefly looking over at Kin, as they were getting closer to the diner.

(Neither am I right now. Lol. iPhone!!!)

Kin looked at him." Why do you want to protect me?"

Lucifer shrugged and kept going. The truth was he didn't know why he wanted to protect her either. "It's my job to protect the residents of the village" he exclaimed as he got off Sapphire and tied him to he pole out front. "Be good sapphire." He said before going inside.

Kin followed but left Shadow untied, knowing he wouldn't go anywhere. She followed him but froze, having a bad a feeling.

Lucifer got a table for two just as Kin was walking in. "C'mon, no need to act stressed all the time!" He said laughing and following the waitress to their table. They got a table that overlooked the lake behind the diner. "Ah, my favorite spot." He remarked, picking up his meneu and looking through it.

Kin blinked before sitting across from him. She looked through the menu but decided on just a salad.

The waitress came up and wrote down Kin's order. "I'll have the steak, medium rare, and a... beer for a drink please." he said smiling and folding his menu up.

Kin's ear twitched but didn't say anything.

"Hey." Lucifer said to get Kins attention. "You never did tell me the real reason you came to town." he said mockingly.

"I was here to meet a friend. That is my only reason." Kin looked at him, her deep blue eyes shining beneath the dark of her hood.

"Ok." Lucifer said simply as a new waitress came up and gave them their food. "Where is the waitress we had before?" he asked picking up Kin's plate before she could take a bite. He carefully inspected the food and found a fine yellow powder covering bits and pieces of the food. "Do you know what this is?" he said rubbing his finger in the yellow powder and showing it to Kin.

Kin inspected the powder, being highly skilled in herbs and poisons." Sleeping sedative and a powerful at that." She looked at him.
