Hi! I'm very new here and was curious how the community here prefers people organize characters with more than one storyline/universe. Like, should I just list what universe I use him in all on one character page? Or do folks think it's better to make multiple character pages with an indicator of which universe it's set in, so theres more room for in depth backstory?
Like my own character Vinny, originally started in a pokemon universe. But I also have him in a mafia universe or even just chill modern slice of life settings and more! Each one is pretty fleshed out and I love them dearly, so I'd love to hear peoples opinions.
Thank you!

I'm in the same boat with Cori. Ive written her page as her main/my favorite verse for her. Then in the OOC, I make notes on a few other verses I have for her.
If you dont plan on using the full 10 slots, though, maybe you could make separate "characters". Or use the pages on a profile and give one page one AU.

Where applicable, on my character profiles I have a specific page to list and describe the different AU's for my OC's
I don't think I've seen a consistent method.
I've seen folks who just have a standard profile, but who play AU versions of the character that I guess only get the alternate info shared within the RP itself.
I've seen folks just include a line or paragraph about how a character differs for specific AUs, and keep everything else the same.
I've seen folks separate out pages into separate profiles for AU versions of the character.
It's good to at least list the universes you're interested in playing the character somewhere. Beyond that, I think it's just a matter of discussing with partners if they'll need a handy reference, and to consider for yourself if you'll need a handy reference. Personally, I actually frequently check back on the profiles for both my partner's character and my own when I'm in a game, just to ensure consistency, so I appreciate at least having a little blurb about any notable differences.

Haha, oh man, i totally forgot about the slot limit! I think pages should be the way to go then if I wanna get in depth about things. Thank you so much

I think I'll be going this route then! The personalities for characters are more or less the same but I put so much thought into backstories itd be a shame to leave it out I think. Thank you sm!

Thank you so much for this answer! I figured it was a matter of preference since starting au's can be decided at the drop of a hat and some dont need to go that deep, nor develop into more than a one off.
I'm glad I asked the community though, I def have an idea of what I'd like to do now : )
