Has anyone listened to a song and match it a character or the world said character is in?
Feel free to share those songs here! Just say whom or what world the song is for.
The Black and Gold World in General. Probably when angels go through the Shadow Lands.:

Just don't ask why.

For this character, absolutely the song Peaceful Waters from the Morrowind soundtrack.
I feel like it captures his aesthetic and aura so well.

Even though it is Destiny 2, it gives me that Skyrim Adventure feeling to it. But that is probably just me.

I'm usually not big on theme songs (at least not in the way we non-music-makers get stuck with), but there have been a couple songs that just really clicked in with characters.
For Taryn, it was My Mind's Eye, which I have attached at the bottom of her page. With lines like...
If you were here
I'd whisper sweet nothings in your ear
and appeal to all your fears
~~ and ~~
If you were mine
I'd bring you so much further down
and twist your mind until the end of time
...presented so sweetly, it really seemed to suit her.
Another that worked out weirdly well was Learn to Be Lonely for Chaser (again, I have the song on the page). At first, the overall mood just seemed right for the character behind the persona she presents as The Black Orchid, but I got "artistic" when writing her old bio and put in lyrics as section breakers, and it was downright bizarre how the stages matched up, how each verse appeared to perfectly summarize a stage in her life (seriously, I didn't try to make that happen, it just did).
More recently I added The Wanderer's Lullaby to Willow's profile due to a story development (the song does not suit the typically cheerful nature of the character). She had to face a lot of self-suppressed and newly-learned truths about her parents and herself, and the way it played out was crushing. A part of it was a ghostly final hug from her deceased mother, and that, specifically, is where the song fits in. With everything happening, I can see her mother singing her that song to calm, reassure, and urge her onward.

I love music myself, but I normally don't go searching for songs for worlds or characters. I tend to run into a song and realize it would fit.
I search for songs, cant find them, then accidentally find a perfect one
I'm guilty as can be of this. Most my character pages will sport numerous songs that made me think of them, inspired the creative process, or so on. Maybe the tune expresses a sentiment I see the character holding, maybe it's just a song I like and want to share, hah. But yes... I tend to add music to profiles. I know 99% of people probably don't listen to it so it's mostly for my own edification.

Same! I love to do this! It just gets me into the character's mood!
I am currently trying to find a song or two for Adelia.
However it is hard, cause she has a dark side named Blackbird that has no morals and will kill if she wants to. Adelia herself cares for her Angel siblings, but is not afraid to scare the crap out of anyone.
Plus, she is kinda unstable and can change her personality within seconds in the same sentence.

A song I found that perfectly fits the tones of my hero's final death. Or at least it should have been his final death.
Wax Fang "MAJESTIC"

Interesting. Sadly, I couldn't understand a word of it.
"Majestic" Wax Fang
a sight for sore eyes
to the blind would be awful majestic
it would be the most beautiful thing
that they ever had seen
it would cause such surprise
it would make all of their minds electric
how could anyone tell them
that some things are not what they seem?
in such disbelief
i thought i was asleep when i met you
my heart liquefied and i sighed
oh this must be a dream
if i forget to set the alarm
and sleep on through the dawn
don't remind me
i'd rather be dreaming of someone
than living alone
if you're searching the lines for a point
well, you've probably missed it
there was never anything there
in the first place
Sometimes I create characters or roleplay ideas basing on a song
I love to search for main themes and voices, almost every character of mine has one.
Recently I watched anime "Banana Fish" and music from it just matches Charlotte so well I'm almost scared
She's obsessed with red and song's title is RED and all the text, everything matches too well~
Basically, give me a character and I will find a song ^^

Wanna try Adelia and her darker half Blackbird?
Joking. I am thinking of doing a parody of "Hellfire" for her.

I love associating music with my characters! I frequently use pieces I find suitable to get those interested in my characters right into the grooves should they decide to listen to them! Let's take an example, Sabir Heyeck. As can be seen there, I have chosen Shuriken Sun's "Tokyo Hellcat" to decorate the front page of his profile! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofq2wT0dR2k)
While the track is not heavy on the lyrics, it absolutely radiates that cheesy 80's rock 'n roll synthwave aesthetic that the character is built upon and partially even parodies. Also, while the lyrics that exist don't specifically tell of the character or someone like him, a description like "A giant cat-like beast is terrorizing Tokyo!" suits oddly well for a maniac of a character who rides in the night, pistol kitty ears on his helmet all the while collecting debts for a nefarious cat-themed corporation!

I find this a fitting theme to Gravedigger!
I would have liked to find something a bit...darker? Heavier? But man this really moved me.
ENJOY!
