How often do you guys use zodiacs - be it Chinese or constellations - to decide personalities, fates, and whatnot of characters?
Do you use blood types at all? I hear that's pretty big in some places.
Do you use anything else superstition based?
I don't particularly use anything like that, but I imagine its really fun symbolism to use in writing!!

Rarely but It was useful for one thing which is creating group of cosmic warriors protecting peace.
Now, they are inspired by Gold saints from Saint Seiya, they wear armor based on their zodiac signs.

Well here's opening to the series, it's quite good series if I had to say.

Only if it's appropriate to the setting or has some mystical meaning I like or find amusing.

For example my Harry potter oc DOES have a meaningful birthday because JK Rowling did so with her characters so it's sort of appropriate there to have a suitable star sign at least.

a couple of my sci fi characters their world has a supersticion regarding full moons at time of birth determining your luck, so I set up a calender to figure that out because i'm a wee bit crazy lol.
But it's quite interesting what it throws out haha.

And my werewolf's date of birth is significant mythologically/metaphysically

but ultimately I tend not to worry too much. I might if I feel like it figure vuagely what sort of star sign they might be but usually I pick a date out a hat IF i even bother to figure out an exact day of birth lol.

I think it can be fun, though not always that accurate haha.
