This might seem a bit excessive to some people (my friends and sister included lol), but I have added a new addition to my wall.

I now have an entire section of my wall dedicated to my World Building.

Well, I'm still decorating it and finishing it, but still.

My room has been looking rather bare lately and while digging around I found my old markers, card, and some blue tack that hadn't been used yet. I spent hours thinking what I could do until I figured it

Let's decorate this wall with some of my passions.

Now this could've been everything.

World Building, art, writing, science...

But I didn't want it to look mismatched and disorganised. But then I realised I could combine all of those things into one by making a wall dedicated to my own world, Iwei. Also known as The Desolate Empire.

It contains world building, writing, language, art, and the science behind everything along with so much more stuff that I like to do.

All while staying organised and pretty.

Though literally everyone I've showed says that it's excessive and I'm a "sweat" (an insult in our school for people who work hard or overachieve for something that isn't necessary at all. So sorta like a teacher's pet in a way), I have no life and that I really need to find something else to indulge in that isn't completely idiotic.

frankly I don't think it's idiotic. I love world building. It's better than earth, in many different days

But is it really that excessive?

Are you kidding? That's amazing! I mean, if no one's gonna bat an eye at covering our walls with posters of bands, celebrities, fan memorabilia, personal art, etc, then what the heck is wrong with covering a wall with neat-looking stuff from a beloved hobby, something you are proud of? I mean... when I visit my grandma, I get to sleep in a room that has a wall full of David Duchovny. I'd much rather it be awesome worldbuilding stuff.

Any chance you feel like sharing a photo of your wall?

After its decorated a bit more I will. At the minute it's just a bunch of card that needs sticking up and colouring, etc.

I'll spare the nitty details about my personal life, but the short version of the story is we're going to be moving back in together, and seeing as our place is 3 bedrooms, one of them will be turning into my office, a place I can write, rp, and otherwise create my own personal universe.

Now that I have seen this....I literally want to decorate my office in the same....exact....way...(only with my own universe)

Ahh, I don't mind at all! Glad I could help(?) And at least inspire someone. It wasn't directly intentional but I'll take it as a good thing anyway haha.

I'd also suggest keeping a load of post it notes near wherever you're going to put it lol. (It's what I'm doing currently) It just helps incase you have a sudden idea and need to get a reminder quickly and stick it on or if you want to have a small note to help keep a general understanding but a fully sized piece of paper is too much

That's a good idea....and scotch tape and scratch paper for the ideas too big for the post it!

It will be the opposite for me....the daughter walking in thinking dads crazy when she sees my wall of universe lol
