Where does the magic happen?
Tell me about the stuff you keep there as well. I love hearing about people's daily lives.

That's my new Acer in the middle. I've got paint brushes in the blue vase, a box of precious Pro marker pens to the left. Potted, perfectly healthy plants to the right that haven't grown an inch in two years, and the stack of two books is about local history. I've got a whole bunch of drawing pads on the left, but it's only a third of the amount I actually own.
Underneath to the right I've thrown my tablet. If it's not there when I need it, I freak out.
And oh! I've got a sheep skin on my chair. I knew the sheep. It was (roughly translated) called Greyrock.

My lap is my desk. I technically have a 'desk' in my room but it has my TV on it, and is used more as a shelf and no work is done at it because there is no leg room underneath it as I have two storage crates there. I also used to have a lap desk but it cracked in half so I'm waiting to get a new one.
So, here's a photo of what I am looking at, about to get work done on Scrivener (which I highly recommend for writers). (Finishing the first draft of a book! 107k words in, 3 scenes left!)
Ignore the mess, just started spring cleaning.

I have my desk at the room we call "the library", which holds most of our books as well as an antique-looking desk I bought on my country's version of Craigslist. It has two small drawers - one on each side - with pens, small notebooks and such. On it is some sort of designer lamp that my boyfriend got from his late grandfather, and a metal cup holding more pens. The internet doesn't reach that room, so I barely use it, which is a darn shame!
I have two desks!
Sort of.
and
Neither are really in the best condition right now but, eh. Does the job.
(THis is a super interesting thread actually. I always wonder about this sort of thing.)
Sort of.
The 'Front Desk'
Complete with trusty Bluetooth keyboard that fits perfectly on the steering wheel. For when I'm stopped but need to remain in the driver seat for some reason. THose typos I always have, with the second letter capitalized or mssing ltters are due to that keyboard.
(Never you mind that check engine light)

The 'Rear Desk'
COmplete with, well, an ugly puse pillow thing and a desktop computer where it doesn't belong. Safest place for the old girl when I'm bouncing around all day.(Never you mind that mess)

I had to answer this because I actually have 2 desks, and I don't use either of them. I live in a dorm. I'm suppose to have a roommate, but she moved out without really telling me why (I don't mind, we never talked to each other and she had some pretty inconsiderate habits that kept me up late) so I have some extra furniture all to myself.
One of the desks, the one that used to be hers, is pretty much my vanity. It holds my brushes, hair products, skin products, and absurd collection of hairties/bows/clips. I don't sit at it very often since I prefer to use my full-body mirror on the door. The chair is pretty much there to hold my sunhat because I can't hang it up with all of my other hats, otherwise the hook warps its shape.
The second desk--the one that is actually treated like a desk--holds my notebooks, folders, and papers. I brought a set of drawers full of school supplies and stuff that I keep tucked underneath it. Since it's right by the window, I'll sit there to look outside or cool off and unwind when I get back to my dorm, but I don't use it for school work. I keep my laptop on my bed and I do aallll of my work on my bed. It drives my mom nuts but it works, despite all of her claims that it won't, lol.

Have another photo. I ended up moving my furniture around today.
Here's mine.
Please excuse the mess of files under the iMac, haha. The only magic that happens here though really is after I've brought in artwork to the scanner (not pictured - it's off to the left further on a tower that holds my gaming consoles), I'll tidy them up in photoshop and have them either developed into prints or wooden charms. I do dabble in digital scribbles as a hobby from time to time, right enough. There's a box underneath the files that you can't really see that contains a manual typewriter - I use this to type out little thank you notes to people who purchase my artwork.
The iMac was my only machine until the last couple of months, but now with the PC tower being part of things, I use the iMac for reference pictures and videos mostly, whilst I'm looking to transfer all my .PSD files onto the PC.
It's very makeshift, but the desk was constructed by my other half. The hyacinth bulbs in the corner have only just started sprouting this week - I think I'll have to find a spot for them where they get more sunlight now. And I also took a close up of my wee tea tray - I like to keep my tea here when I'm checking emails and RPR in the morning. The sake cup's for friday evenings/ weekends unless I've had a particularly stressful day, haha!
Oh, and only just pictured (you can see the corner of it) is a wall mounted telly - this connects to the PC and game consoles and will swivel either towards the desk, or towards the bed on the far side. It's a handy wee setup, I think. For me, anyway. It makes use of the given space really well.
Annd there's a lot of info on my wee work/game space! Don't really know if this was T.M.I or if it was interesting at all.
there are many desks like it but this one is mine ♥
My new desk area is not as decorated as I'd like, but I'm going to be
changing that relatively soon and I'm super excited! The following items:
• Sailor Moon and Luna Pop Vinyl
• A pink "littlest pet shop" fox the little girl I'm caretaking gave to me. ♥ Her name is Navi.
• Dice
• Estee Lauder make-up bag with carousel decorations that I actually use for spare cash and pens.
• A silvery hand-held mirror that I actually use to put on lipstick and mascara (because I'm extra.)
• Mac lipstick, cremesheen shade. I keep it at my desk because I like to put it on in front of that princess mirror and pretend I'm g l a m o r o u s.
• Mascara, for the same reasons above.
• A weird desk decoration I picked up from the dollar store because it's shimmery with stars. Enough. Said.
• Velvet Petals from Victoria's Secret which I literally only bought at first because it's pink and gold lmao. Surprisingly, it smells pleasant.
My old desk at home was surrounded with fairy lights and flowers. Honestly, moving all of it would've been a hassle so I'm opting to start over and let my niece have it all since she's moving into my old room.
Well, uh... I used to use the kitchen table. Now I use the box my computer came in on my lap. I don't put my computer on my lap directly because I don't want to increase overheating.
It'd be nice to have a desk again eventually, but first I need the money to get a space that's actually mine. Unfortunately, that's dropped as a priority for now.

... You have a chicken under your fabulous desk. o.o
Y'know what chicken is literally the first thing I noticed looking at that picture. It is marvelous. Almost puts my bug-eyed pineapple to shame. Amost.
Lune - Oh my god it's little feetsies! (;Д; ) If I hadn't just ordered a monster snorlax I'd be immediately online shopping to find one. Birb pokemon are the best.
