Hey! I’m looking for this to be an action/adventure story with a sub-genre of romance, which will only happen after a realistic buildup. I’m a female and my characters are all straight, so I’m looking for a male character for this Roleplay!
This is a very futuristic, dystopian style idea that I came up with a while ago, and I’ve always been itching to try it out.
Let’s set the scene:
We’ve hopped about one-thousand years into the future, the year is 3021, and the world is nothing as we know it today.
Sure, the politicians are just as rich, and the government is just as corrupt, but the reach that the government has on people is so subtle that although people know that they are always being watched, at this point, they never seemed to make much of a deal about it. Cameras linger everywhere, jobs are assigned, food is rationed, even soulmates are paired, due to most genetic compatibility.
The world was too overpopulated and the absolutely overrun with trash and pollution, and if they can’t build on anymore land, where do they go next?
The sky.
Huge cities floated above ground, the different layers leading up higher and higher in social class and overall quality of living. The lowest level was the slums. This is where the beloved Earth was abused for too long, leading to dirt and ashes stretching as long as the eye can see. The stench of crime and garbage was enough to make the hairs on your arm curl on edge.
The gradual betterment of technology and scenery happens as you go upwards, eventually leading to the largest, most flashy and ornate tier, the Overheads. All of them are absolutely pretentious and so full of themselves that they’re nearly delusional to what goes on beneath them. This is home to many corrupt politicians and business owners, as well as their families. They live lives of leisure and comfort, their biggest problems being what thousand-dollar suit to wear in the morning.
The way to get from tier to tier are subtrains, very similar to regular trains, but they float above ground due to magnetic fields, rendering them much quicker than any technology imaginable in present day.
