The small town was fairly busy, but maybe it was because of the morning hours. Everyone was trying to sell their goods before midday, so they could spend time with their families.
Stories and rumors were already starting to circulate, about a creature that inhabited the forest nearby, scaring off travelers that came close. After being troubled so much, the Captain of the Guard put up a reward for anyone who could capture the creature. Another posting was also put up, offering a larger sum, for anyone that could capture the creature unharmed, turning it over to Theobus the Magician.
"Fresh bread! Hurry and get your fresh... Rosa! What are you doing out and about! I thought you were sick!" The baker was glancing at a blonde haired, older woman who was slowly making her way toward him. He grinned and shook his head.
"Now now, don't even think about paying for this. Not after you helped me with Ruth." He held out a loaf of bread, and the woman took it thankfully, giving a warm smiling, before she slowly turned, and made her way back where she came from.
The baker shook his head, still grinning. "You start to feel better!" he shouted, before he continued to try and sell his goods.
Rounding the corner, the blonde hair almost instantly changed to a fuschia color, falling down longer, past the mid back, and the older wrinkles smoothed from the face, while the posture straightened. The woman looked nothing as she did before, and the young woman reached up, climbing into a tree and sitting on the high branches to look down at the people, a wide smile on her face as she munched on her bread.";

Pulchra, had heard rumours of the creature from one of her jaunts outside of the Keep. Offering gold for the body of a creature? That could likely work in her favour; surely there was time to study what it was before collecting the reward? She had travelled at her swiftest in her phoenix form; half-feathered and half made of magical energy manifest. Landing away from the village but still within reasonable walking distance, the magess headed down the main street in easy, measured steps. There was truthfully little questioning what she was, given her choice of attire being robes with a distinctive staff carried in one hand and topped with a clear crystal.
It was into the first Inn she came across that she started her questions.
"Do you know of whom I should speak to, concerning the beast?" This was said to the room in general, clear-toned and loud enough that any interested parties should hear. Yes, she was here to mean business. And to study, and learn.
