Hey everyone. I'm a new guy and not sure if something like this would peak any interest, but here it is:

My soon-to-be created character is a Commercial Freighter Captain. He/She/It (haven't decided yet) has had plenty of experience navigating through the universe with all of its quirky galaxies, and even quirkier organisms.

If your characters want a ride, needs to stowaway, or hop in as a crew member, the Staccato is your ship! There will be a main plot line loosely overarching whatever side plots, missions, objectives, and randomness the group gets into. It's meant to be a playful but interactive space sci-fi adventure. Inspired by Orville, Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, and Space Dandy. This is a perfect opportunity to get some dust off of any characters you never had a chance to roleplay.

If you're interested, please let it be known here in the thread as the character you'll be playing as and I'll DM you.

I love sci fi, and I can think of a few characters this idea could make use of, part of it depends on how combat intensive you intend it to be and how much of my story influence you would like to see vs what you have in mind. Feel free to PM me and we could further discuss it if you would like.

(I am posting as myself as the character is really dependent. I can easily provide you with characters and races depending on your plot or idea preferences)

I’d like a character you think would best fit being on board the Staccato. The ship has a ragtag crew. A couple of officers from a fallen empire, pirates, tag-alongs, and
several random passengers.

The freighter will be huge, almost carrier or capital size mixed with bio and retrofitted advanced tech. Basically a Space Whale Cruise Ship. I’m not kidding.

Being an interstellar pleasure voyager is it’s main source of income. The ship itself is also an attraction and tours on board the Staccato are offered wherever its docked. It’s more dark tourism centered and less luxury extravaganza. Staccato provides thrill and excitement for the average spacer/worlder, doing shipyard ghost tours or spotting dangerous alien creatures to name a few.

It won’t be combat per say but there will be a lot of action and adventure.

Here’s the Staccato. Just a template for now. There’s so many characters and NPCs on board that I think I might just group them all together on this profile.

Pix is the first person that comes to mind for this, she's combat ready as all the women from her race are but shes really not the best one out there. I also think Glo would be fun to put in here but I still need to finish his character. My next question is how would you prefer the characters end up on the ship? If a crew spot is open it might be fun to try something like that, as I've noticed the option seems to be available.

Voldarian_Empire, I leave it up to the players on how they want to end up on the ship. The RP will start off disembarking from an asteroid station on the outskirts of known colonies and civilizations. You’re more than welcome to be a crew member! Also, if you need to finish Glo, by all means take your time. I’m slowly putting the ship and crew together anyways.

Glo is probably who I would prefer to use anyway I think. One thing of note though, he has 4 wives that would be going with him. They are connected mentally and often operate as the same unit (and certainly under the same character slot) but I still consider them 1 character because of how their race is setup socially as far as mating goes. I hope this wouldn't be a problem.

Also you are planning this rp in PM right?

Not really planning anything on PM at the moment. I’ll probably get a group message thread going though.

I meant to say....when the rp begins you plan to do it in PM right? Like as opposed to on the forums? I'm not a huge fan of forum rp but I probably wouldn't decline an rp I wanted in on based solely on that. Just I am curious.

I know I mentioned I'm looking for 5 players in the OP but wouldn't mind a couple more. But for those who've already shown interest, I'll be adding you all into a group thread soon.

I could survive in a forum posting setting I suppose, but as far as adding more players 4-5 is really my maximum. If you want to add more I'm not going to complain about that, seeing as it's your prompt and I certainly would never ask you to change it for my preferences, but more than 5 I would reconsider including myself in an rp. Sorry, it just is too many players for me.

I'm interested in this! I'd like to use Cchaaneh, but if Cchaaneh is too disagreeable then I can use Relic instead. Relic is a lot less developed than Cchaaneh, but Cchaaneh is a character with themes that might make people uncomfortable, so I want to provide a second option.

Also, what reply rate do you expect from people who join?

Is it still possible for me to join? I am still new at RP repository though.....
