Tannis (played by Miss) Topic Starter

The door handle to the monastary’s door was opened, the gnoll lady’s hearing able to pick it up. Mr. Lambert’s lips were placed upon the cup of tea, his gaze drifting towards the older lady as her hands held the tea cup within her grasp, until it cooled. Almost shaking, her frail hands lifted the cup to her lips and she sipped quietly.

Mr. Lambert’s attention drifts towards the gnoll lady, as Tannis leans back, upon the bench, her hands folding and interlocking behind her head, her fingers meshing together, as her bare feet stretch outwards, “Tis’ just quiet enough, I would say.”

The horned girl would enter the monastery to see four figures sitting upon a bench. One old lady in white and red robes, two figures dressed as squires, yet, one has a crossbow leaning against her hip, and a lean merchant with a large backpack nearby. The green dressed femme’s hazel gaze drifts towards the horned girl, her eyebrows rising delicately.

Before the young squire could reach the monastery, the horned girl had opened the large wooden door and stepped inside. The sounds of the Slums returned: fishermen pushing their makeshift boats into the water and grumbling to one another, figures leaving their houses with hammers and nails, pounding nails and boards into their makeshift houses, and bandits idly chatting to one another, while watching their surroundings.

Inside the city of Dorter, there was a strangely dressed young man walking the sloping streets of the upper district. He wore a straw hat, and other outlandish clothing. A few merchants that were moving to and fro, pushing carts or returning from the lower district, turned their heads and idly watched the young man move. The attention was short-lived, though, and they returned to their jobs. A few bandits, standing outside a large shop, watched the young man pass them. One was leaning up against the building, his head shaved, his arms crossed, and he says “Look at that one.” The other bandit, a portly, round faced bandit, turns to look, his scoff easily heard. “Don’t get too many like them. I hear outside meat is the best.” The portly bandit chortles and snorts, quite like a pig, and he wrings his grubby hands.
Galuf (played anonymously)

Galuf had just come to find himself in the city of Dorter, after a long voyage across the sea's, and a cart ride QUITE unlike anything he had experienced before. He came here seeking fame and fortune, but for now was struck awe by the shear size of this city. "Where I come from there is only one city of this size, the city of the Emperor, does this land house many Emperors? With how the Shogun's bicker and fight, i'd hate to see Emperor's go at it." He spoke aloud as he roamed the streets.
His attention was brought away from his thoughts as two man begin to comment about his appearance, and look at him with hungry eyes. "Meat? I do not know your customs, but I assure you i'd be much too stringy to eat good sirs." He said with a bit of a shaky voice, "If we can take myself off the menu, could you point me to some form of work?" He asked them, hoping nothing bad would befall him out in the open like this. Hell, he was even on the 'good' side of the city, if it had one.

Those that passed the strangely dressed fellow hardly stopped to listen to him; none of them did. The portly bandit blinks with his beady eyes and grins, “That’s right, we eat all who come here, cause this is our town now!” The pig-like bandit chortles to himself, while the other bandit smiles to himself, but rolls his eyes. His arms were still crossed, “Look, kid, you best be runnin’ far from here. Dorter ain’t a place for kids. But if you want to get yourself killed, there’s a post board in the slums, south of here. Right next to the soldier’s office.”
Vannah flicked her ears and pricked them up as she heard movement. The doors were swinging open. She turned her head and frowned, one hand casually reaching up to rest on the hilt of her sword as she watched the figure approach. A horned girl? Not...exactly what she'd been expecting. She shot a glance at Tannis and at Lambert to make sure that they knew they had company but didn't get up or draw her sword. Not yet. She could just be someone wishing to pay their respects n the monastery. Still... It paid to be alert.
Xxyrrox (played by Wolfen)

Feeling cut off on his journey to the monastery, Xxyrrox went back to the river, climbed onto his crate and started fishing again. Being very still and quiet, he waited patiently until he could feel a small bob in the end of his pole, and then a slight tug. He pulled hard on the fishing rod to pull the fish out...

rolled 1d20 and got 19
determining whether or not he caught a fish about 2 ft long
