Galuf had just come to find himself in the city of Dorter, after a long voyage across the sea's, and a cart ride QUITE unlike anything he had experienced before. He came here seeking fame and fortune, but for now was struck awe by the shear size of this city. "Where I come from there is only one city of this size, the city of the Emperor, does this land house many Emperors? With how the Shogun's bicker and fight, i'd hate to see Emperor's go at it." He spoke aloud as he roamed the streets.
His attention was brought away from his thoughts as two man begin to comment about his appearance, and look at him with hungry eyes. "Meat? I do not know your customs, but I assure you i'd be much too stringy to eat good sirs." He said with a bit of a shaky voice, "If we can take myself off the menu, could you point me to some form of work?" He asked them, hoping nothing bad would befall him out in the open like this. Hell, he was even on the 'good' side of the city, if it had one.

Those that passed the strangely dressed fellow hardly stopped to listen to him; none of them did. The portly bandit blinks with his beady eyes and grins, “That’s right, we eat all who come here, cause this is our town now!” The pig-like bandit chortles to himself, while the other bandit smiles to himself, but rolls his eyes. His arms were still crossed, “Look, kid, you best be runnin’ far from here. Dorter ain’t a place for kids. But if you want to get yourself killed, there’s a post board in the slums, south of here. Right next to the soldier’s office.”
Vannah flicked her ears and pricked them up as she heard movement. The doors were swinging open. She turned her head and frowned, one hand casually reaching up to rest on the hilt of her sword as she watched the figure approach. A horned girl? Not...exactly what she'd been expecting. She shot a glance at Tannis and at Lambert to make sure that they knew they had company but didn't get up or draw her sword. Not yet. She could just be someone wishing to pay their respects n the monastery. Still... It paid to be alert.
Feeling cut off on his journey to the monastery, Xxyrrox went back to the river, climbed onto his crate and started fishing again. Being very still and quiet, he waited patiently until he could feel a small bob in the end of his pole, and then a slight tug. He pulled hard on the fishing rod to pull the fish out...
rolled 1d20 and got 19
determining whether or not he caught a fish about 2 ft long
