I'd like to do a role play with many people on a beachside town, in a modern day, with the ability to use magic, but not in a very obvious way.
The inspiration for this is Abelle, a surfer who just wants to chill out and have fun, but upon discovering magic well past the appropriate age to train and channel it, feels that it is interfering with her life and beach bum attitude. She has a backpack that tends to produce whatever she needs, even if she doesn't actually want to find it. Such as a grill for a barbecue once and a fully stocked cooler. Magic infuriates the surfer and she tries to hide that she has it, regardless of how much it keeps popping up to "help" her.
All species are welcome so long as they can fit in, from sea serpents that give 'quests' to beach combers, the standard town drunk who numbs himself to ignore the horrors he's seen, the horror that lives down the way near the coves..
I think this'll be more of a comedic/lighthearted idea to start with, but it definitely has potential to branch off into something very serious and adventurous for those interested.
To clarify magic for this RP, yes it exists, yes it is known, but it isn't so common that everyone has or uses it. Maybe 5% of the population uses magic and an additional 10% have it in them somewhere, dormant. In this setting, many different species have been seen and mingle at times, but not whole colonies or groups of a specific species have integrated into society. So while it's still odd to see an anthropomorphic rabbit chilling at the bar, it's not so new that people would freak out and have a tizzy, either.

1. Age appropriate RP (PG-13 and below). Anything sexual or too violent should be taken to private.
2. This is a post-as-you-can/want style forum, and I highly encourage people to come and go as they please!

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
I was thinking a siren inspired character she looks like a mermaid but her song will make people do what she wishes
