Being the internet, not every one uses their real name here, obviously. Privacy is paramount I say.

So...how did you come up with the current name you use? Why that?

The story behind my name "Mr. Stick" is....a teeny tiny bit embarrassing.

I will admit....I am a fan of MLP. The cartoon, everything else is of no interest to me.

Now as a fan, I look things up. Do research, google "Fan art". I eventually found "Fluffy Pony" art, and thought it was freaking adorable. It let me to a site dedicated to it (which I won't share here, as it can be VERY NSFW) and I joined.

Not wanting to use my e-mail as a base for my name like I did when I was younger (a mistake I regretted), I went with the first word I could think of. Fishstick. So that was my name. Fishstick.

Suffice enough to say that Fluffy Pony site was.....horrible. Crude, vulgar, rude, intolerant, and down right perverse. Dregs of the internet. I mean when you can casually talk about injuring animals (imaginary or not) and talk about how much....pleasure...you derive from it. Euch. Yuck. Gross. No thank you.

Anyways after I left I kept using fishsticks, fish, and sticks as themes for names and such. So in that theme/vein, I chose "Mr. Stick" for my name here.

not the deepest of stories, but go ahead and share yours! I'll enjoy reading them!

I'm going to quote something I said a while back

"I'm a straight to the point kind of guy, it's just me saying I'm just a guy
I'm not furrylord69 or mumsexxer420, I'm JustAGuy"

I'm Just a guy, not many things special about me, I'm just a guy

Some people actually don't really understand mine.

I have what I call TV static. There's no specific cause, and it's totally random. Basically what it is, is my vision will suddenly go like static on a TV, making it impossible to see and blurring every single colour together. It can last anywhere from a few seconds to 30 minutes. This is where "Static" came from.

Before, I used StaticSound, but I ditched it after someone was abusing me online and trying to get others to call me out.

This brings me onto the other part. I consider these TV Static moments to be as mini nightmares, as it scares the hell out of me. It also more or so often occurs at night, which.... Well, yeah. So, that's were "Nightmares" came from.

Oh my god, I have that same thing! I have no idea what causes it and it is just so annoying, AND IT ONLY HAPPENS IN ONE EYE! I COULD UNDERSTAND IF IT HAPPENED IN BOTH, BUT ONE EYE? AND IT SWITCHES EYES! XD

At least I'm not alone! Though mine does happen in both eyes. I think it might be related to some sort of anxiety or stress. Not entirely sure though.
Mine was first one of various "noises" I wrote down as having character name potential.

After that, it's hard for me to say for sure whether I started using it myself first or gave it to a character first... but it has been both for awhile now. The character Novalyyn is actually the mother of my character Nashyll. In the past, she was sort of a persona for me, but she became her own distinct character, and also developed into such a mess that I consider her unusable. I mean, Nashyll's pretty bad too, but at least she's still young and naive and full of potential mistakes. Novalyyn, frankly, tends to just be wise and chill and sort of boring (when she's not being an overbearing, overprotective mother).

I used to go by some variation of Dragon Moon everywhere, but... seeing more and more folks using dragons made me a bit self conscious about appearing to follow something just because it was popular (even though I've always loved dragons). It also had the potential to get confusing if you've got a conversation with 5+ people with "dragon" in their name and someone's just like "oh hi dragon how are you?"

Static convo
Squished since it's getting off-topic...

Does it happen most often when you stand or move suddenly? If so, good chance it's a blood pressure drop. The brain suddenly doesn't have the nourishment it needs to properly process what it's seeing. I get that a lot since I have low blood pressure and a bad habit of not drinking enough water, plus a pretty sedentary lifestyle. The issue, for me, has also variously at times included dizziness, fainting for a couple years, and likely contributed to me having a couple seizures a few years ago. ^^;

In any case, I'd suggest drinking more water and maybe mentioning it to a doctor. Especially if it's lasting more than just a couple seconds. o.o
My husband has gone by the nickname "Laz" since high school and so I adopted "LadyLaz" after we got married and use it for everything :)
Deumeawyn

Back when I was eleven I was totally enamoured by the Fellowship of the Ring movie being made that I asked for and got the Lord of the Rings book set for my twelfth birthday.

I fell in love with Eowyn of Rohan reading the books and loved Miranda Otto bringing her to life in the movie trailers! I joined a few fan sites at the time and started writing RPs in the fan forums and chat engines. My first character was a bad Mary Sue half elf, but my second one was more down to earth ... named Eowynesqe. I later changed her name to Deumeawyn as it was Rohirric sounding and a bit racy-tease. That was when I was fifteen and started dabbling in the edgier group rp stories that I was a part of.

I have since kept the name and use it as a pen name across the internet on sites I register to.

*High fives the fellow LotR fan*

Keep it comin' peeps, I'm loving this.
I like games.

That's about all there is to my name :P Normally I go by "Oove" or "Omocc" but wasn't sure if I wanted to on an RP forum.
I've had a few usernames before this one.

First on was Asheydoo (Mix of a nickname my friends had given me of the time "Ashey" mixed with a random sound I liked at the time xD)
Featherhowl - A surname from two of my OCs smushed together.

DarkCrow, however, is just sort of after my OC Crow. Obviously "Crow" is going to be taken everywhere so I just... added Dark before it, for no real reason, but hey, it works, and I like it. Crow is my favorite OC for multiple reasons, so it's nice to have my usernames be after him <3
I happen to very much like pens.

Truthfully, I don't remember.

Because "Beauty is in the eye of the Penholder", perhaps? Or "The Penholder is mightier than the sword"?

Mine is pretty simple. My name is Jay, people call me JayBird a lot because of that. My three most common nicknames are JayBird, JayJay, and Cowboy.
A friend of mine told me my newly decorated profile looked "dreamy," so I decided to see if "Dream" was taken and here we are! I was surprised it wasn't.

It's quickly becoming my handle on other platforms and I'm likely to create a new character by the name here soon. ♥ ✧ ✩ ✴
Almost everyone seems to have a story or explanation but,,, I just like sunflowers :D
When I was quite young, I was pretty big into the Harry Potter fandom. Still am but not quite at that level. That was really my first foray into fan fiction, and I had never done something like that before. Looking about my favorite authors they seemed to have nice, professional sounding usernames. I also had read that I needed a pen name to register on Fanfiction.net . So I was like, hey what is a cool sounding magic name. I originally wanted to go with Quill something or other, but it didn't stick. So I just grabbed WandOfEternity because A. Wand and B. It sorta suggested I could write forever? I dunno.

Years later I was informed by a close friend that it could be seen as an incredibly phallic joke. At that point I was kind of stuck with the name. Had it more than 10 years now.
CassandravH

Well I’ve always adored old literature. If you couldn’t guess from some of my character ideas. I adored Dracula and Frankenstein the most. So to keep my identity secret I started using those. It was hard between being Dr. Cassandra Frankenstein or Cassandra van Helsing but van Helsing is the lesser known of the two do I stick with that. Ir made sense. After all, in the books, van Helsing was a scholar not a fighter. Then I just shorten it lengthen it whenever I join a new sight. So CassandravH
LakotaSiouxWarrior

My cheating ex fiance came up with my former name sexysultrybabe I changed it recently to sexysultrystephine.
GamerWoona was a fan alteration of an MLP character I liked. There was a whole meme culture behind it. I go by 'Get Jinxed!' in steam - also something to do with a character, though with a game.
Before those I used 'neiomi' + a number, mainly for runescape and other games. Why neiomi? I have no idea. I just thought it sounded cool back then.
My boyfriend calls me either babe, sugar, or bunny. I like bunny the most (the other two are probably already in use) and I think it'd be cute as a name so I went with that. My previous username was the result of my love for the french language :P

Thinking back on some other usernames I've had, I seem to like short and simple names. I think bunny is one of the first "cutesy" ones I've ever had, I used to go by things like Warhead or Leadhead and Mute. My username on other sites right now is Rival.
