I just made up this survey, because I was thinking about a friend of mine. Pick a friend, and answer these questions, if you want!
1. Pick a friend (preferably one not on here, or if on here, be nice): Amber
2. How long have you known them? 29 years
3. Describe your friendship in one word: Adventurous
4. What is the dynamic:
For me, she's the one who comes around when my life is getting dull. She's my Adventurous Side.
For her, our friendship is something she can rely on, like home base. If life is a game of tag, I'm one of her handful of home bases, maybe her main one, and she explores the Wild World but she always comes back. It's been like that since we were 5th graders. I was the "best person" at her first wedding, which was at the justice of the peace, with her and Paul wearing jeans and T-shirts, and I came up with seashells for what to exchange because they didn't have rings. I held her child while they said their vows.
I was there at the birth of her third child, where she thought she didn't want an epidural until she was in labor and I was shouting at the doctors every few minutes to just #$&+#&g give her something, to no avail.
We can go without seeing each other for years and when we do, it's like we were never apart.
5. What kind of person do they think you are:
She thinks I'm the "best person she knows," but really, that's just because I follow a certain internal code, I guess, and because it brings me such happiness to be around her that I'll do anything for her, and she knows it.
6. What kind of person do you think they are:
She looks out for herself but she spreads light wherever she goes. She's one of those people that gets why life is important, even when I struggle to grasp that. She's very, very LIVELY, and life seems more potent in wherever she is taking up space. She carries life with her wherever she goes, like some kind of shooting star, and wherever she is, the littlest details suddenly seem to matter 5 times more than they did before. She's 5 foot 3, but she fills whatever space she's in with that sense that Something Amazing is about to Happen and we should BE READY for it. She brings people to life who felt like they were dead before. The guys all fall in love with her, and I don't blame them for it.
7. How far away do they live?
She lives 24 hours away, in another state. Iowa or Illinois (ir varies with her mood). We sort of grew up together. She doesn't stay in one place for more than a few years, it seems like.
8. Will you be friends in 10 years?
"Best Friends Forever."
9. What will you do together in 10 years?
Who knows, maybe we'll have money by then and go explore Ireland together, me with Sandra, her with whoever her way-too-young-for-her boyfriend is that decade.
10. What's one funny moment:
The funniest moment ever was the time she and I were sitting in the living room at her then-boyfriend's house. He was giving her a lecture about something (he was older), and she was listening to it and doodling in a notebook. I was spacing out until I absentmindedly looked over at the notebook and saw that, for the entire 30 minutes she had been writing the word "BLAH" in different fonts, different scripts, some uppercase, some lowercase, some in block letters, some in fancy letters, some in dashes, some bubbled in -- just every kind of script you can possibly imagine, and the whole page was filled up with "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!" I couldn't help it, I busted out laughing, and that made her laugh, and we were just laughing our heads off for another 10 or 20 minutes, and her boyfriend had no idea why. It was one of those priceless moments where it's kind of wrong, but IT'S SO FUNNY! We've had so many priceless moments like that. I think I still have the paper.

Awww. Hope it all works out ok.
Aw, this is nice and wholesome.
Did it on one of my housemates
Pick a friend
He prefers to go by "Chris" online (quotation marks included.)
How long have you known them?
17 years. We were on-off enemies in kindergarten (admittedly, I was 100% the antagonist.)
Describe your friendship in one word:
Stable.
What is the dynamic?
It's changed a lot since we were kids. Among our group of friends we seem to be the "get stuff done" duo, which is impressive because we're basically just two disasters in a trenchcoat. We have a weird balance going on where whenever one of us is doing well the other is doing terribly.
What kind of person do they think you are?
He likes me, but I think he considers me kind of spacey at this point lmao
What kind of person do you think they are?
For someone who's great at everything he attempts, he can be too critical of himself. Very good and pure love for cats. I think once he gains some confidence he'll be unstoppable. Can bench press me.
How far away do they live?
I could go break his door down right now.
Will you be friends in 10 years?
Probably. Although, he's joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, so there's always a chance he'll die young.
What will you do together in 10 years?
More roadtrips.
What's one funny moment?
He always forgets something when we go to the gym. A few weeks ago we were heading in when he suddenly stopped and looked me dead in the eye and said "I forgot to put on ******* underwear" and idk it just got me.
Not very exciting, but my life isn't very exciting.

On my last day with the client Jim was stood chatting to me when my trainee, a mormon, delivered his parting gift: no, not flowers, not chocolates--not those kitsch thank you mugs with bears and flowers-- six months with this trainee and they had decided to see me off the finale with the book of mormon and a speech about how I'm lost in life and need guidance of a higher power. Jim walked out in hysterics while I stood there holding it like somebody had handed me their first born child.
