A girl sat in the corner of the tavern looking for someone, anyone to come ans start a conversation with her. She had one small ale and a thing of chicken. she sat there twiddling her thumbs.
"Hello," a voice said from right next to her. A wolf boy wagged his tail, "You look a bit lonely. Mind if I sit here?"
She just gestured for him to sit down in the seat in front of her. She bought an ale and they sat down. "So what brings you here." Her beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes looked up at his.
"You're a tad young to be drinking, dontcha think? I'm probably older than you and I'm not supposed to drink," he warned with a chuckle.
"I'm fifteen, I'll do what I want." She took another sip and waited and waited for the boy's response.
"I'm 16. You still have to obey the laws," he countered.
"I guess." She tossed the drink aside. "You are literally the only one that has noticed me." She flung her lush blonde hair back. "Why is that?"
"Because no one else can see ghosts," he said, wearing a perfectly straight face, "You're dead." he was of course kidding, but it didn't seem like it.
She chuckled. "I'm good as dead." She looked away. "No one cared about me anyways." She gestured at her body. "This, is all the care about."
"I like a girl with personality. Looks are important, but if you're mean and prude, I won't bother with you."
"Sorry if I came off like jerk." She sighed. "It's kind of a habit."
"You came off as a bad girl who's searching for attention."
She turned away. "You," She looked up at him. "You are no different than the others."
"Ah, but I am. Because I see that you're not. That's just how you look," he countered, "It's how you act. Why else would you be drinking alcohol when you're 15 if you're not looking for attention?"
"I only had some because someone told me too." She pushed it away. "I didn't even really want it."
"You shouldn't have alcohol because someone told you to," he said, "Anyways, I'm Andrew," he smiled and held out a furry hand.
She smiled and took his hand and shook it. "My names Hailey."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Hailey," he smiled, his tail wagging, "Would you like to get out of this joint? Find somewhere, more friendly?"
She chuckled. "Yes let us leave this wretched place." She tossed five silver coins to the bartender and waited for the boy to catch up.
He smiled and followed her out then looked around.
(I'm confused... Is this modern or medieval?)
