Holly had closed her eyes a little while ago before he spoke to her once more. Slowly opening her eyes, she frowned. "Longer then a 5 months at least. You loose track of time eventually..." she sighed. There was a bell and people seemed to be walking by. "It's dinner time." she said as she glanced over to Maliki. She frowned once more and looked away as a boy came inside the tent, holding trays. He looked like one of the acrobats. He had wandered silently over and slid the trays into each of the occupied cells, however he hadn't known there was a new person there. He looked over in surprise. "Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't know we had a new person..." he had looked over Maliki. He looked like a sweet blonde, skinny boy about maybe 15 years old. "I'll go get you something." he said turning to the tent flap.

Maliki blinked. Longer than five months? That sounded like torture!
I'm sorry. It must be hell here. How eyes drifted to the little boy as he walked into the tent. He was holding trays. With a hollow grumble, the vampire realized how hungry he was. He frowned when the boy left. How would he know what Maliki would eat? The teen furrowed his brows.
I don't think he'll know what to feed a vampire like me.
(Its alright!)

As if on command the boy had popped his head back inside the tent awkwardly. "Uhm... I was told you probably don't eat the same thing we do..." he mumbled. "What should I get you?" he asked, hiding himself in slight embarrassment. Holly blinked in the direction of the boy and glanced to Maliki once more. "...He doesn't usually take me out of here unless there is a big event coming up...Mostly cause it takes a long time for me to set up apparently." she fell silent. It seemed that she didn't even fully know what she was and why she was such an interest to the circus.
Maliki looked to her and frowned, the feature creating small dimples on his cheeks. That's inhumane.
He then turned to the boy. Raw meat, if you please. And I only drink type O blood.. There he paused, feeling almost as a burden. He looked away and bit his lip.
Anything besides human blood. I can't...it's a condition.

The boy had nodded fast and left the tent. Holly had sighed, closing her eyes. "Yeah, I suppose. Though I like it more then having to do what they had me do on the first day. They thought I could do whatever my 'talent' is at will... It wasn't a pleasant day." she frowned, obviously recalling the events that had unfolded.
Maliki looked to her and frowned, he didn't like the sound of that, or the look she had. This circus was sounding more like a torture chamber.
they'll do the same to me, won't they.
He didn't like the idea one bit, but the boy was sure the people here would try and bring out his dark side. For the show, of course.

Holly slowly opened her eyes but she did not look at Maliki. She didn't want to answer that. She hated seeing people being hurt in front of her. Not before long, the boy had returned to the tent with Maliki's food. Fresh cut meat that was still soaked in blood. It looked like it had just been cut out of an animal recently, meaning there were others who probably ate the same thing. It seemed like this circus had a lot of blood thirsty creatures. Holly didn't seemed phased by it. She'd probably seen some of the creatures there. After the boy left, Holly slowly but surely decided to touch her food. Though she only nibbled at it.
Holly's fail to reply only made Maliki more unsettled. He looked at the tray he'd been given and poked the meat. He wasn't even given a fork. What did they take him for, an animal? Maliki sighed. This was going to be the worst thing to have happened to him.
They had sat in silence for a while as they ate. It was getting later out, as the sunlight had gradually grown more red and was soon turning into moonlight. Holly had long since pushed her tray away with a half eaten dinner by then. It seemed she didn't eat a lot. There was a tapping coming from outside the tent. The ring master was coming once more.
Maliki hadn't touched his food, only out of fear that it had something in it. The smell didn't match what normal meat should have. Something must have been put into it, and he didn't like that idea at all. His ears perked up at the sound of tapping, clear in his ears. He looked up just as the man walked in.
oh goodie. The Ringmaster was back. Maliki had a new hatred for the man, after knowing what he did to Holly and the others here. He didn't say a word.

The ring master gazed around the room. "Well? How's our new little recruit holding up?" he smiled almost innocently as he had approached the cages. He gazed down at the untouched food. "Oh what a waste. We had that freshly cut for you and everything." the ring master sighed and Holly looked up with piercing eyes like she known what the ring master had planned with Maliki's meal. He glanced over at Holly's tray. "And Missy over here doesn't seem too hungry... Prefer the raw stuff too, huh?" he asked but Holly did not reply. The ring master did not speak for some time before noticing that Holly seemed like she was in a daze. He smiled. "Good." he turned back to Maliki. "and you mister..." he smirked. "I'm supposing that you aren't going to show me your 'talents?' Do I have to resort to unpleasant methods?" the ring master frowned but it didn't seem like he really cared.
Maliki was too angry to even enter his mind. He replied in his native tounge, eyes narrowed. He knew the man would only hear syllables and mixed murmurs, but his body language made it clear what he was saying. 'try me.'
Maliki knew that at some point, he was going to be tortured until his secrets where drained from him. It was something he couldn't stop or change. But...
He would at least hold onto the bit of himself he still had left until that too was ripped away from him. He wouldn't go down without a fight.

The ringmaster sighed, tapping on the cage bars lightly. "Well. I guess I may have to resort to it, sonny. I have a show coming up." he shrugged but flinched in surprise to find Holly suddenly up against the bars with an almost murderous look on her face. "Don't you touch him." her eyes almost glowed inhumanly as she snarled at the ringmaster. He smirked nearly taunting the girl. "Come, come now. It's not that bad. Besides... This is strange for you, sweets. You don't usually get riled up this much. Hungry are we?" Holly growled bearing her teeth before the ring master slammed the cage bars with his cane. "Save it for the show." he ordered as Holly glared at him. The ringmaster then turned to the tent flap. "I'll be back later." and with a beat he left as Holly growled lowly. "Madman..."
Maliki looked over to Holly. You didn't have to do that. I'll be okay.
He was surprised to see her reacting the way he would have. Did she feel like protecting him as he her? It was a comforting thought. Although, it also worried Maliki. Holly reacting like that meant whatever the Ringmaster did to these poor creatures was honestly awful.

Holly seemed to settle a bit when the ring master had left. Turning to Maliki with glowing eyes she sighed. "I'm just sick of this. This place has broken and killed many." she frowned, gripping the cage bars with her thin fingers. "The least I can do is try... so far it hasn't worked..." meaning she had probably tried to help others but to no prevail. Holly was just as trapped and could only do so much. It wasn't long before Holly had snarled at the approach of several shadows at the tent flap.
Maliki couldn't help the fear that flickered in his chest. He tensed and looked at Holly. All we can do is try. But the smallest show of effort can save lives. He closed his eyes for a moment, not prepared for what was going to happen, but making himself ready. He had to try. For himself and for Holly. Because it wasn't only himself he had to try and save now. There was Holly..and there was all the other poor souls in this hell hole. He had to try.
The tent flap swung open as two muscular men had entered behind the ringmaster who carried a needle. They walked up towards the cage and the ringmaster tapped the cage with his cane. "Last chance, boy." he waited for Maliki to answer. Holly snarled lowly, looking like she would start murdering the instant they stepped into Maliki's cage.
Maliki hissed quietly as he looked at the needle. God, he hated those things. He hid a shudder and lifted his chin.
more words were uttered in his language.
He knew this would be the end, but he had to stand his ground. You can't simply break him that easily.
No.

No.
"Alrighty then." was all the ringmaster said as the two had approached the cage and stepped inside and started making their way to Maliki. One had the needle in one hand and the other had approached Maliki ready to grab him and hold him still. Holly had begun freaking out before another muscle man came into the tent. He had under the ring master's orders entered her cage and grabbed a hold of her as she struggled to get free. The man had put her in a sleep hold and her face started turning a bit red.
Maliki waited for the men to get...just about...there.
he jumped up and grabbed the syringe, taking it from the guy's unsuspecting hands. he then turned fast and jammed it into the first guy's arm, emptying whatever was in it into him. Hopping over that guy as he fell in pain, Maliki couldn't quite get far enough away before his muscles froze up from misuse. Hissing, he backed away from the guy who was left. How to take him out.
His hisses grew in intensity and he let his wings go, the thin things sliding out from the slits in his jacket. Letting them take most of his weight, he jumped up once again and clawed at the big man, grabbing his head and slamming it into the cage wall. To his surprise, the man caught his ankle as he dove forward, straining, maybe snapping, it between his thick fingers. Maliki yelped in pain and pried his foot free, then sped toward the cage door as fast at he could, only to have the Ringleader appear right infront of his face, at the doorway.
Maliki stopped.
He dropped back onto the ground and paused, horror chilling his blood.
He failed.
He gave that monster the show he'd been looking for.
The Vampire hissed in anger and stood, his wounded foot lightly off of the ground.
He never lost eye contact with the Ringleader.
