Hey there! I'm looking to roleplay with some magic! Specifically modern witches! I'd like this to be a one on one multichara rp, but if you really prefer singular characters thats fine too. I'd like for our characters to know eachother (if we're doing multichara then at least one of your characters knows one of my characters). I'll write out a starter for one of my characters, pm me to continue!
Jewel stared down into her cauldron, a sweet aroma drifting from the top of the potion inside. This wasn't going to work. She didn't specialize in potions, she had made maybe two before, and those had barely worked. She sighed, nearly defeated. She glanced around, taking in her surroundings. It was midnight under a full moon, she had been going at this dumb potion for nearly three hours now. She sat in the middle of a forest, her tent behind her, a campfire below her cauldron. She was hungry. Maybe she should just give up and make some stew? That sounded nice. Besides, she wanted to make whoever was on their way here feel welcomed. See, she had meditated before attempting this potion and saw a while into the future, as she usually does when meditating, and saw someone coming to her campsite. She doesn't know who is coming, nor why they were coming, but she knew they would arrive soon. So, she put on her oven mitts, picked up the cauldron, and dumped it a little ways away from her camp, causing the grass where the potion splashed to grow flowers, then immediately wither and die. Jewel glanced up when she heard a twig snap.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Modern
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
