Austin was caught by surprise with Josh's attack. "Whoa! Haha, yeah, buddy. I'm fine. Glad to see you're fine too."
He held the boy in the air for a second or two before setting him down and ruffling his hair. At this, he walked over to Anthony and plucked the bagel from his hands.
"Wow, you guys actually have a bagel. That's tremendous. I haven't had one of these in, gosh... A week? Maybe two? Wow, that's unbelievable."

Josh stood there happily, his hands in his pockets.
Anthony just grinned. "Yeah, we have a couple left. Those things go like hotcakes. Kinda funny. Josh, gimme the watch."
"What- oh." Josh pulled the watch out of his pocket and tossed it over to Anthony.
"I believe you were lookin' for this?"

Austin nodded in appreciation.
"Well, I'll take all of them. Thanks. And the watch." He caught the watch midair in between Josh and Anthony, slipping it over his wrist.
"Now everybody freeze, and nobody gets hurt. I'm just going to slip out nice and quiet-like. I want no sudden movements, and- Could you for the love of God stop that?" Austin looked over at Leon wide-eyed, and definitely annoyed. He held out his hands like Tony Stark did in Iron Man 2 during the scene with Pepper at her office with the kinetic sculpture.
"Please, just."

Sweet little Anthony looked like his feelings had just been majorly hurt, being blindsided so roughly like that by Austin.
Sanderson sighed, mumbling to herself again, something about "kids these days".
Josh had facepalmed, trying to hide his laughter.
Leon simply raised an eyebrow, slapping the clip back in finally and resumed resting the AK on his shoulder nonchalantly. "Is this what I think this is? Good Lord."

"Listen, buddy. No need to get your feelings hurt okay? I'm just taking your entire stock of delicious, round pastries with holes in the center! No hard feelings. I'll leave some. Maybe 2% of them."
He winked at Josh before slipping out the doorway and walking down the hall.
"I give it ten seconds before someone runs out calling after me." He whispered to himself.

Josh proved him wrong, following after him as soon as he left the room. "You're leaving? Why?"
Leon lowered his gun, looking at Anthony. "Should I?"
"Gun him down? No," Anthony mumbled. "I mean, he's not hurting anybody, right... Just... Stealing our bagels..."
"And therefore stealing our supplies."
"It's bagels, man. Bagels."
"I like bagels," Sanderson spoke up, pulling the needle out of her coat and inspecting its insides.
"Supplies."
Anthony just stood there, looking confused.

"Leon, buddy. I'm kidding about the bagel thing. Listen, I need you to do me a favor. First, ask Doc Sanderson over there if she has any chill pills. Take two. Tell her I prescribed them. You should be good to go."
He walked out into the middle of the safe haven they had built.
"What was the name of the protocol for building walls again?" He wondered aloud as he just stood there, looking around.
He still couldn't get a decent connection to HQ here. Probably some kind of safety precaution or something. Or maybe a glitch, or there was interference.
... Definitely interference.

"BARR System," Josh answered, still following Austin around. "Why?"
"That's it," Leon sighed, locking and loading the AK.
"Wait- what are you doing?" Anthony asked, his eyebrows furrowing.
"What does it look like?"
"You do that and I will pump you full of the crap in this needle," Sanderson hissed, holding up her needle.
Sanderson was one of the only people who could fully subdue Leon, and subdue him she did. He remembered that needle. Not fun.
"I'm going to make sure nothing explodes," she said, walking outside, leaving the two men alone in the room.
"You're not seriously gonna kill him?"
"I dunno."
"Leon..."
"... Fine."

"Ah, BARR. That's the one. We didn't like it much. Could've made it too easy to trap people within their safe havens. It's worked efficiently thus far, though."
He looked around a bit longer before setting off in a random direction- Coincidentally, it was the weapons depot.
"How's your brother, by the way?"

"Anthony and Leon and the rest know what they're doing," was all Josh said on the subject of BARR. "Randall's fine; I'll bet he's still out. Sanderson said he probably has a minor concussion but it's nothing to worry about. Other than that it's the norm- bruises, cuts, the works. Randall's a tough little cockroach. It'll take a lot more than a car crash to kill him. He's had worse. A lot worse."
There they were: All of those beautiful guns, vehicles, and other various zombie-destroying supplies.
Austin grabbed the nearest M-16 assault rifle and a couple clips already loaded with cartridges.
"You ready?"

"You ready?"
"Uhh... What are we doing?" Josh asked, although he obediently picked up his favorite sniper rifle and stuffed some extra ammo in his pockets.
"We're getting the Tank back so Randall doesn't kill me." Austin said decidedly. He watched Josh pick up the sniper rifle, thought for a moment, and then nodded.
"Of course. Good idea. You go up on the wall and cover me. Don't let me get bit, kid. Happened once, wasn't pretty."
He ran out to the wall before Josh could ask any questions.

"... Okay," he called, slightly confused. He went up to the wall, loaded his gun, and rested it on the wall. He squinted through the scope, fixed the focus, and waited for Austin to make his move so he could follow him through the scope.
Austin waited. There were walkers all around the car.
"Probably trying to get at the Twinkies, dang it." What? Austin, you don't even have Twinkies.
He flipped the safety off, turning it to single fire. Taking his time, he put a few walkers down. They were all down for the count, and he ran to the car. He hoped Josh had the common sense to shoot anything that came close to him.
"Alright, big boy. Time to get you home." Talking to the car? Really? What is this?
Austin grabbed onto the car with his right arm, slinging the gun over his back. Pulling hard, the car slowly began to inch forward.

THE CAR'S A SHE, AUSTIN. GET IT RIGHT.
Josh took a deep breath to steady himself, targeted a zombie, and put it down with one pull of the trigger. Swiftly he reloaded, dropping the empty case, and repeated the process, plugging any who got too close to Austin.
He was a dead shot, quite literally.

Austin sighed and rolled his eyes, finally letting go. As strong as his prosthetic was, he wasn't getting the car back within a reasonable amount of time. He had an idea.
He ran around to the side of the car and tried lifting it from there. The weight of the car was massive, and his one super strong arm could only do so much.

rolled 1d100 and got a natural 96. After the modifier of +14, got 110
70 or higher = success, 69 or lower = failure 1 = the car explodes
(SWEET)
Austin's muscles bulged as the adrenaline ran through his veins, pumping him full of energy. He let out a loud yell as he steadily flipped the car back onto its wheels, and then promptly beat his chest like a gorilla.
"AUSTIN KING! AUSTIN STRONGEST OF HUMANS!"

"HEY, AUSTIN KING! WATCH YOUR FRIGGIN BACK!" Josh yelled, shooting the zombies down as fast as he could reload. The zombies, if they hadn't already seen him, were now lurching at Austin King, snarling hungrily. "WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING, HURRY UP! I ONLY GOT SO MANY BULLETS!"
Austin stopped immediately.
"Oh, right. Car." He whirled around, shooting various zombies in the face. He jumped into the car and tried to start it... But it wouldn't start. Engine must have been damaged or something.
"Dang! Okay, I guess we're doing this the hard way, then." Opening the door, Austin shifted the gear into neutral and ran around to the back. "Please stay on the road..." He pushed into it with all of his might. Hopefully it wouldn't go off the road this time. Hopefully he could get it to budge and the wheels weren't jammed or something.
