I had googled some roleplay prompts just to pass the time, and one of the links was a link back to here. Lo and behold it was a post from 2013 and I was surprised to see this has actually been up for a while?? Does anyone have any long time memories of the site? How long has it been around??

yeh the copy right on the bottom of the online site for me says '2010' and i dont know entirely what that means but i'm pretty sure that means its been around since at least 2k10
I've not been here that long, but I'd love to hear some stories so I'm going to both subscribe to and bump this post

Haven't been around quite that long, but I did join up late in 2012. Honestly not that much has changed since then. A few new faces in the mod's team, countless updates and 2015 is when we started having the big epic week site wide events.

I was bummed that when I joined last year that it had been around since 2010 and I never had a clue.

Back then I was trying to keep RP on two different Tolkien sites alive with mixed results. Got a couple good RPs in the years but still...

Epic week, coming up next month, is RPR's official birthday. It'll be celebrating 9 years.

I've actually technically been here since about 2010 as well. Maybe not completely active, during that time, but I do remember being introduced to this site from one of the first commissioners I ever got who sent me references of their character on here. I thought it was awesome for me to come to and compile my characters.

Then life happened, I forgot about my account for a while, came back and made a new one in 2015, and then found my old one after doing a search for the fun of it. Once I figured out the password to that, I deleted my characters from there (I had them reuploaded on my new account), and sent in a ticket to get that account deleted because I couldn't find where to do it at the time. :p

I ended up joining a month or two after the first major Epic Week. I wish I had joined sooner: that 5th Birthday cake accolade still mocks me in silence looks really cute. ;A;'

But yeah, I also didn't know it was around for that long until a while ago. From what I've heard, it was just a storage system for character profiles before it grew into the roleplaying site we know and love today. It's still mind blowing that all this progress was done by one person, you know? It shows that she loves this place (and all of us) to death.

I have been on this site since 2010, I believe. I stumbled on it looking for a new place to RP and found I could make a character site! I made my first one, Arlo, but after I was stuck because there were no forums up yet Thankfully, those came and I got back on and look at my horde of characters now! It's crazy how I can go back to the last pages of the Fantasy/General RP forums and find old RPs of mine from 2011
