"I am a person of survival, but growing up, that wasn't exactly my title." Sarah was stood up on that stage for what felt like like hundredth time that week. See; Sarah was a mental health talk-er. She worked for a charity that worked with young adults ages 20 - 25 who suffer from mental issues like depression and anxiety. She was their youngest 'preacher', if you will, at age 19, and yet she was the one who did the most and helped the most. While she worked with everyone, she, somehow, managed to appeal to more of a male audience with her powerful words. "I was a dead soul, and a young girl who became suicidal."
She may have been the more emotional people who worked with that charity. She only told the truth; her own experiences, her own story, and the stories of friends she had seen come and go. She connected with every word, and everybody who she had ever met. It was clear: she wasn't in it for the small fame or the money. She truly wanted to help everybody.
"I have felt the hits and the kicks from society and it's people, and it's probably the reason I suffer from anxiety now." Sarah has short brown hair that flowed to her shoulders and framed her fragile face almost perfectly. Her skin was pale and soft, smooth and almost mark-free. Well, her face was. The rest of her body was a different story. She stood at 5'2 and was skinny, almost unhealthily so. "They called me names from fat bitch, to white trash. Called me a slut and always said my family was screwed up. I was never perfection, so I became the best example of neglection." Her eyes were a deep red, due to a birth defect. She had a black tattoo under her left eye, which really popped out. Her lips were small but plump, and made her face look all the more innocent.
"But I am still here. I pushed through the dark days. And yes, I still have the dark days. I still have issues with my eating: but I am still here. I'm not at the bottom of that river like I wanted to be. And you don't have to be there either." Her voice was shaking at this point, her tone powerful.
Your character is a young male, 20 - 25, who suffers with depression/anxiety/suicidal thoughts/self harm/eating disorder. He has decided to go to one of this girls talks under a friend's influence, and is moved by her powerful story. He meets her afterwards, and they move on from there
