Lief Thous (played by AmberShades)

The male snorted. "Here? In front of everyone?" He tilted his head with a raised eyebrow. "Have you own no doubt..?" He was slightly serious, though he contained the excitement dwelling in his chest.

Of course, he hadn't performed since he was eleven, but he was positive he could remember everything if he needed to. Oh, where was Annika when you needed her? Grinning like a child, Lief scanned the crowd.

He looked back at the women. "Are you sure you want to..? I mean, we'll probably make a fool of ourselves, but I s'ppose it does not matter?"

"You are correct on both three of Liefthous' questions.", Ember confirmed smoothly with her own round of glancing to and fro in the crowd. There was a number of people still, all of them seeming relatively bored-like. Maybe being the ones to initiate a purfurm will show them who to fear of their courage.

That made it a lot more appealing than before and she felt a calm eagerness spread throughout her body. The red-head turned to look at the white-haired male again. "There are preparations for a purfurm.", came her stated inquire.

Lief widened his eye, surprised she was set on performing. "Wait- you're not joking?" He blinked. Inhaling, he shook the dimwitted question from his mind.

Nodding at the second statement, Lief peered at a semi-empty space on the opposite side of them to the north. He grabbed her hand- yet he winced and gently grasped her wrist- before quickly walking towards it. At the moment, he was focused on appearing calm and not have to look of a child, forgetting the pain in his leg. Though, his smile seemed to grow larger, and he was nearly skipping to get to the space quicker.

He understood he must look like a fool, though he didn't seem to care.

Ember hummed an agreement with the man's statement before he started moving. She did also wince as he took her hand, not expecting it and not expecting the quick jolt of pain, but brushed it off with a small huff. They were going to a different place in the Hall to which she hadn't had the chance to glance at before they went off. The woman tried keeping up with his fairly quick pace, needing to step more to make up for lack of leg length that he had. Liefthous seemed happy with it all and so she would take it; it was exactly what she wanted to happen.

He came to a stop, inhaled, and spun on his heels to face the woman as he dropped her hand. "Let's be honest," He said while his lips creased into an anxious grin. "We have no clue what we're doing, do we?"

He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. Lief was slowly taking in what could happen in the next few minutes, and the anxiety was drowning him. Though he used to do such activities daily, he hadn't had the chance to since he was older and constantly on the run. He could vividly remember the anthem and first half rhythm of steps, the second half was a distant memory. If he couldn't remember, if they did perform, he guessed he would repeat the first set of steps, thinking it would be useful either way for the grey-eyed woman to not learn a millions steps at once.

Ember took in his question and stayed silent for a few seconds. "We are to a purfurm.", she answered after some time though thought about it after. Liefthous didn't seem like the person to forget something that easily, especially since he had just brought them to what she guessed was his destination. There was no reason to ask about their goal.

"We...we do not.", the red-head changed her previous answer with a side glance around. "Yet we are to a purfurm, regardless.", she quickly added onto it. Not wanting to throw off his good mood.

He smiled at her. "I s'ppose we'll throw our randomness into the mix and se what happens?" He exhaled, running his fingers through his hair as he scanned the crowd once more. He nodded and looked back at the woman one last time with yet another cheeky grin.

He hummed quietly, reminding himself of the beat. He couldn't believe he was doing this. He didn't believe he was doing this. He turned elegantly, his body in tune with the upbeat hum of the music. Yet, there was a sort of harshness to him, like he was someone who shouldn’t be underestimated. A good lead is soft but not subtle; clearly stating his intentions by moving himself, inviting his partner to follow along. He remained alert, eyes scanning the floor ahead of him, watching traffic, and was constantly aware of what is happening right with his arms.

Eventually, he muttered the verses of his anthem with a quiet voice, a smile plastering across his face.
“Who long to see,
That all folk free,
No more foes, but neighbors be.
Our language is a treasure,
Buried in deepest sand,
Chains of precious stones that scattered,
All over our oldened lands.
Unified, as one, let us
Pledge to sing to the King,
‘Much beloved, Crown,
you shall set us free.”

(( That's perfectly fine! XD It wasn't that long of a time ))

Ember watched at first in interest and then in mild awe. Liefthous looked exceptionally graceful. Even though she had next to no experience with dancing, she was able to tell that he was very good at it. Once the man started singing gently she could barely tell that they were still in the Hall. It was quite mesmerizing to say the least.

She almost forgot that she would have to join in and immediately tried to memorize what she was both hearing and seeing. Leg step, move, "onified", another leg step, move, "Croun", leg step, move...

Lief slowed a bit to gaze at her, laughing underneath his breath as he spun to his right. "You look.. tense." He mumbled teasingly, repeating the rhythm of dances once again. "Loosen up a bit, hm?" He chuckled, backing away to give her slight space. Then again, there wasn't much area where people weren't standing in or taking.

Once again, he repeated the anthem, yet he sung slightly louder than before. The anxiety seemed to fade as a familiar feeling replaced it. He couldn't tell what it was, so he continued tapping his foot when he had the chance.

He could tell people were watching, though it wasn't the first thoughts that came to mind. He nearly fumbled over his own feet, though he made the ducking movement into a swift form of the dance itself. His chest still leaned forward, he quickly rose again while stating the verses and listening to the clacking of his shoes against the floors, repeating this twice before continuing the original movements.

Ember snapped out of it at his words and nodded slowly, then going back to looking at his movements. As the woman watched she began to sway her body side to side to the music, trying to get it on the beat. Once she mastered, in her head, that step...she decided to take some steps herself. Now instead of moving in the same place, the red-head attempted one of Liefthous' spins. It was slow and looked pretty bad, it was a start.

Grey eyes refused to leave the male's body, taking in every movement and trying to resemble it in her own body. She didn't understand all of what was being said; humming the rough sounds of the words. Ember didn't feel embarrassed but the woman could feel some sense of self-consciousness; not wanting to let down the man who looked to be enjoying himself completely.

Lief waved his left hand upwards, a bright smile on his face as he turned back to Ember at the ending of the third round of the routine. With his right hand, he extended it towards her, and though he was exhausted yet still burning with energy, he wished to end the performance. He blinked a few times, catching his breath.

There was a new kind of excitement in his emerald eye, pride and happiness seemingly shining along with the said feeling. He practically ignored the fact his leg was screaming with pain, though his face had gone pale and he stood awkwardly to keep weight off of it.

Yet, he still managed to keep his insanely wild grin as he held out his hand for her.

Ember was put off guard ever so slightly as he turned to her and offered her his hand, smiling his usual bright smile. Body stopping it's swaying and occasional spinning, she blinked. Instantly after she put her left hand in his own, mentally preparing herself for whatever was to happen- hoping that her brief copying was enough to pull it together and make it worth it for him.

She didn't want to mess it up; she really, really, didn't. It make butterflies light in her stomach and the woman silently gulped. Though she kept her eyes locked to his in order to keep herself together and took a deep breath.

The thief rolled his eyes, mouthing the words, 'Trust me?' with a raised eyebrow. He snickered and shook his head slightly, taking a small step forward before she could respond. He swallowed and flinched as he moved, pain jolting down his wound.

Lief held her hand tightly- though he was careful not to put too much pressure on it as he did- before twisting his arm. The movement was supposed to cause her to spin as he was placed in the position to not wreck the balance.

Ember was going to nod her head but then everything happened. Thankfully she had allowed her body to loosen just before the man lifted his arm, and she spun around from it. It partly surprised her just how smooth it was this time- all her previous attempts fell short and she would have to take another step to go around the whole way. Not this time though. As she completed the spin with only an intake of a shaky breath, the woman looked up to him with eyes filled with strong pride but just a bit of anticipation.

It was quite accomplishing and her heart soared for a few moments, lost in the feeling.

He laughed and lost eye-contact, glimpsing at the crowd. Though only a handful clapped, he could care less if none did. He slowly let go of her hand, out of breath. He tilted his head and jokingly smirked. "Wonderful moves. I'm.. I'm speechless. Mind teaching me some time, Misses.."

He nearly killed himself on the spot. Hadn't he picked up her name? At least? He folded over his memory cards, wincing as he realized he hadn't. He honestly was a fool at moments.

Playing it off, he tapped his chin and let his gaze drift around the room before returning to her. "Misses Great And O'Mighty?" He held back his laughter, understanding his words were completely dumb and dimwitted.
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

Ember let a smile grace her lips, feeling giddy again, and could barely stop moving where she stood. Almost seeming to bounce. At his comment she let it drop but still held the smile in her eyes. "I will lend Liefthous my skills in return for his skills.", she referred to him teaching her of the dance, her best smooth comment that sounded like his own ones- in her head at least.

At his odd nickname for her she blinked in light confusion, but found it amusing still. "I am afraid it is not my spoken name...it is quite long as well. The spoken name Ember. Keep previous spoken name for your new blood.", the red-head stated with one if the man's snickers.

The thief would grin. "Well," He bowed, tucking his arm beneath his chest as he folded over one a single knee. "Pleasure to meet you?" He laughed quietly, rising to his feet. "Though, I believe it's a little to late for a greeting."

He ran his fingers through his hair, exhaling with a small smile as he once again locked eyes with her. He didn't understand what was happening inside his mind at the moment, but he couldn't think straight. He felt a rush of joy, then an overwhelming shock of sadness, then excitement again before he could possibly gain control over his own emotions. He told himself he was just tired, and that was that.
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

Ember hummed when he came to his feet again after his own greeting. "Late it is-"...wait. The red-head paused mid-sentence as realization slowly took over.

When it did, it hit her like a weapon. She put her hand to her mouth in shame and shock, eyes slightly wide with the same emotions. Mumbling through her hand, "I had not told Liefthous of my spoken name previous.", she confessed in even deeper shame.
Lief Thous (played by AmberShades)

Lief's eye widened, and he swayed his hands. "Well, yes-" He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head, "but it's fine! Now that I understand you're name is Ember- which is a very wonderful name- it's fine." He chuckled awkwardly as he lowered his hand.

He didn't mean to upset her or anything, and he felt slightly guilty. He shrugged it off with another smile, hoping a smile was enough.
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

Ember slowly let her hand fall from her face, still ashamed for not having realized it sooner. Though his smile was reassuring and she tried to follow in it's steps. It was some time before she spoke again. "Purfurm is a fun time passing.", she tried to switch the topic, wanting to forget her mistake. "You practiced your skill many.", she commented in truth.
