Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

Ember reared on him at first, ready to tell him to walk back and wait for her, but decided against it; closing her mouth and turning back around to continue on her way to where a seat caught her attention. He was already this far and it would irritate his wound more the more he walked. "It is not me to be concerned for. Liefthous needs to learn much of the skill in good health.", the red-head replied after a second of walking. She nodded her head towards her destination.

"Liefthous will sit.", the grey-eyed woman predicted with small authority rising in her voice, though this went by her- used to hearing herself in such a manner.

Lief blinked, still bewildered. "Are you.. sure you're alright?" He lifted an eyebrow, continuing to walk. "Good health?" He snorted. "I'm sure I can take care of myself? And I'm in well enough health to which I can stand." He rolled his eyes with a grin. The thief flashed a smile, turning on his heels and taking a seat. "Fine, fine." He chuckled underneath his breath. "Why am I suddenly s'pposed to be sitting, hm?"

He let his mind wander as he blinked once again. Why couldn't he remember? Was something wrong with his memory? He furrowed his brows as his head throbbed. He couldn't seem to remeber those few moments, let alone recall the fuzz of walking over here.

At the sound of lack of footsteps she glanced around and saw the man sitting. Finally! Ember made her way to him and decided to sit down next to him, her legs getting sore from standing almost the entire time she was in the Hall. "I do not desire the death or pain of Liefthous.", the woman answered his question without missing a heartbeat.

She stretched her arms over her head and let out a sigh at the 'pops' that followed the action. Feeling stiff, she tried to relax herself as much as she allowed herself to.

Lief's lips curled into a small smile. "Hm.. Death has been calling the name of mine lately.." He managed to keep a straight face, holding his hand to his chin. "What if I answer? Would it really be so miserable?" He raised an eyebrow, aware of what he was saying this time around. He was testing.. a theory, his earlier wandering thoughts leading to many, unspoken questions. He had done this procedure before, each time receiving a different reaction.

He would usually use his method when he understood well he was in pain, or if the partner he was speaking with was. Taking this to his advantage, he usually asked deep questions- when he was aware he was- and study their every move. He realized expressions revealed a handful about character, and he was curious about the women. Though she seemed stubborn, she could be easy-going. Though she seemed harsh, she was rather friendly. Though she seemed selfish, she was actually considerate. He couldn't figure it out. He sent a small glance her way before looking to his left.

Ember kissed her teeth, not understand the man's obsession with his own death. Turning her body to face him she gave the white-haired male a hard stare, a growl underlying her every word. "Liefthous will not talk to death. If you are to die then you are to fight it to tooth and to nail. To allow death to happen is that of being coward and Liefthous is not of such. Take a fist to death and make it fear for itself- if not I will make way to House Ancestor and bring you back myself.", the red-head did growl the last word and her hands instinctively flexed out of her intense way.

Grey eyes never left him as she awaited for his reply, face hard and body still.

Lief could feel the sly grin the creased his lips as he listened. He had heard many upon many reactions, but none were like this. He had no idea of what to say. Oh! What a fool he could be! He turned his head to face Ember, tilting it. "Aw! You would really bring me back?" He was joking, as usual. His oversized ears perked as he rolled his eyes with another soft smile.

"I s'ppose you aren't so bad, hm?" He would mutter beneath his breath, folding his hands and placing them over his chin. He seemed to murmur a small chant, his eye shut tightly as he did so. The thief seemed to sit in silence, as if he were waiting for an answer. As his smile was never fading, Lief nodded twice, thanking whomever he was speaking to as he lifted his gaze to the ceiling. He turned to face the woman once again, chuckling. "You passed. They seem to approve of you- which isn't strange, considering they can manage the same scowl."

The Hellion lifted a brow with a smirk. "But would you really bring me back?"

At his tease she barred her teeth slightly and turned away for a while but soon closed her mouth again. Let him joke...at his silence she looked back to him in what seemed to be in a deep thought. She let him be, starting with attention when he talked to her more. At the end of his speech the woman had a mild incredulous look on her face. "Passed...they...", grey eyes filled with confusion and looked upward as well, in attempts to spot someone of who he referred to. Finding only a roof she looked back to him.

"I would bring Liefthous back. I would not find joy in process, but much worth it would be in accomplished.", Ember gave a single nod, still confused with everything, but spoke the truth.
Lief Thous (played by AmberShades)

Lief blinked before grinning, the thief would send looks to the roof, as if he were studying something. He returned tia gaze to Ember, only to study the ceiling every so often.

"So.. You care, hm?" He chuckled. "Because- if I recall correctly- you said you didn’t?" He was joking, of course, yet he was also curious.

Did she really care if he lives or not? And why did it matter? Why did it matter to him? Why should he worry if she cares or not? Would it really effect him?

He kept the serious questions to himself, the curiosity glistening in his eye the only hint of wondering.

(( Apologies For Any Late Responses! ))

(( Its okay! ))

Ember stilled at his words and looked at him for a while as she processed what he said, barely breathing even. Once it got through, the red-head turned away and closed her eyes as if it was going to block out her mild embarrassment, and mumbled to the side. "I do not care, I have no desire for the death of Liefthous- though I do not care.", she attempted to convince the man.

Her arms folded loosely in front of her though she found herself pushing back her hair, a silent sigh escaping the woman.
The air within an 8-foot cube twisted and solidified, forming a humanoid figure clothed in torn robes the color of dirt and shadows. The Ragged One (Who I will refer to as "Rags" for convienence) stepped forwards, examining the area around him. He quickly re-wrapped one of his arms, as his bandages had come undone momentarily.

The Hellion smiled softly, rolling his eyes. "I’ll take note." He joked. "You don’t care-" He was cut off by the shift of air in the room. The thief sent a stern stare over the tavern, his oversized, elf-like ears perked.

He drew a sharp breath, bewildered at the change. His brows furrowed as he looked to the roof again. Lief seemed to speak underneath his breath for the thousandth time, though it was a bad habit if his and he did so with realizing at times.

The Hellion squinted, his miserable vision not helping him in this situation.
Rags returned the stare, his eyes dark and emotionless as he looked at the thief. He then examined his surroundings with interest, taking mental notes of what he saw. The place was strange, but manageable. He limped over to a nearby table, sitting down and examining his robes, making sure nothing had come undone when he appeared.

Lief, eventually, found what he had been searching for. He raised an eyebrow, slightly curious, though he didn’t move. His hand slipped to his belt, but any weapons that were previously there were gone, either lost or used on a bet. He was irritated that Hans hadn’t returned his first dagger nor sword, though the thief didn’t wish to think about it.

He would keep an eye on the stranger, making small judgements and assumptions. Lief wondered if he was dangerous, but then resides he wasn’t, either. With these wounds from before, he doubted he could defend himself.

Ember turned and watched the new person appear from nowhere, reminding her of Hans' close, Airica, and immediately felt herself grow stiff with worry, suspicion, as well as mild fear. The being wasn't making any movements to hint at a plan of attack, but neither did the crazed woman before she almost sent Liefthous to his death. The red-head tried not to look too long for the possibility of angering them- but she could feel them still almost. Which didn't help with putting her at ease in the slightest.

Her crossed arms tightened slightly and she glanced to her hands, most of the burns closing up, though not healed. Taking a swift round at the man next to her, Ember remembered his leg wound and narrowed her eyes. They couldn't engage in another fight again unless they wanted to lose something; limb or life.

Lief lowered his voice, his stare still fixed on the stranger. His next question was directed at the woman, though he didn’t move his attention. "Do you still have the dagger?" He was guessing, if the stranger did make a move of any attack methods against anyone, he would risk putting his life at stake. Though, he’d rather Ember use a weapon to defend herself than him.

He understood this thought and plan was reckless, and most likely dangerous, though he was willing to see through with it. His hope was the stranger was easy-going and nothing of the sorts like Erica, who would attack for sending a simple glance at her loved one. He sighed silently, focused on his thoughts.

Ember held back her jump from Liefthous' sudden words but whispered a small and short, "Yes.", before placing her head on the backside of her one hand, the other sliding down to her waist where she remembered putting the weapon. It rested there as she was slightly concerned. "We are to stand ground.", the red-head muttered her inquire with a quick glance thrown his way.

Anxiety was beginning to bubble up and the woman could feel tightness seeping all around. She couldn't remember the last time she had been this nervous for a possible fight; maybe it was because the stakes were higher than she was used to. That success wasn't a guarantee. Whatever it was, it kept her thankfully on edge.
Rags eventually tired of sitting in silence and decided to attempt to interact with some of the people here. He stood and walked over to them, moving slowly and catiously, dark eyes flashing around, glinting with a mixture of paranoia and fear.

He was unsure how to start a conversation by the time he reached them, so simply greeted them, his voice as dry and rough as the rest of him appeared. "Hello." He said, before coughing, clearing his throat, and waiting for a response.

Lief nodded at Ember, watching as the stranger decided to approach them. The thief smiled at the rough hello, tilting his head to the right slightly. "G’day." The Hellion returned the greeting with hints of care in his tone.

He remained on edge, though he was to act as if he were careless- which.. wasn’t incorrect. He unfolded his hands to readjust his ruffled hair, tying it back into a bun. As he thought, he realized he was itching for another fight. Even if it caused pain, he would risk it. The thief never understood why, but he owned a strange liking for the weaker attempts of violence, especially if he knew he stood a chance.

Ember looked to the newest addition to the Hall before greeting him the way she did with Liefthous; arm in front of her, tilting her elbow inward, bowing her head, paired with a blink. Once done she put her arm down and swayed slightly in her seat, the woman waited. She wasn't entirely sure what to expect by this point and it did strike her odd that the man next to her would ask about a weapon and then act as if nothing happened. Not really on board or rather aware of stealth, she contemplated this until the new person spoke again.
He wasn't entirely sure how to respond, unfamiliar with Ember's greeting, and unsure whether or not it was a good day, as the photoreceptors in his retinas had been damaged beyond repair. He decided to simply accept it and move on. He lowered his head in a sort of half bow to Ember, then turned to Lief. "I suppose it is." He said simply, his voice comparable to the sound of sandpaper against a metal nail. "If you don't mind me asking, what is this place?" He asked, hoping that at least one of them would have an answer.
