Lief Thous (played by AmberShades)

"No need for apologies." The Hellion smiled, looking back at her. He inclined his head to the left slightly as he blinked. "Are you tired..?" He questioned. He poked out his lips, glaring at the table. "It's dirty. The counter, I mean." He inhaled, rolling his eyes with another grin. "I s'ppose you can lean on me, if you wish. I will offer you the same as you did me." He added with a small tease. "I can't imagine what has happened on this very table, let alone wonder if it's been washed."

He scrunched his nose, disgusted at the thought. Well.. thoughts. Lief didn't understand most, especially the reasoning behind getting drunk to the point where they are out of their own control.
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

At the man's comment on the table, Ember lifted herself off of the table, suddenly worried for the health of her skin and not really wanting to know what could have happened to said wooden furniture. The way he said it didn't help either. The red-head blocked those possibilities from her mind and considered his question and offer. She was a little tired and just to rest for a while might do her some good; drained being the most appropriate term for what the woman felt like.

Then again, she didn't want to use Liefthous for something selfish like that. There's been a fair amount of times where she had slept sitting up with nothing to put herself against. So she stayed silent, debating what was right and the offer her body was trying to convince her to take. Fingers evenly tapping on the edge of the table.

He snickered. "Pfft- Are you really that stubborn?" He tilted his head, propping his elbow on the table. "You understand it's fine, right? I honestly don't mind. And you look.." He searched for the correct term. "..exhausted." In his defense, she had helped him an awful amount, so he thought it was his turn to return the favor. He flashed a smile. "Well. My offer still stands." He shifted, leaning against the back of the seat. Though he was tired himself, he could last another few hours before he decided he would need rest.

The Hellion tilted his head back, locking eyes with the ceiling. He let his mind ponder through his thoughts, appearing to be lost in them.

Ember glanced at him as he spoke and narrowed her eyes at his stubborn comment. She was not stubborn- she refused to be stubborn. Though he had a point, that though she couldn't see herself, she felt quite tired. Once he went quite she turned away to think again. After some time she moved herself closer to Liefthous and placed her shoulder to his, timidly but without hesitance. Crossing her arms again she tilted her head down to rest it on his shoulder as well.

The red-head tried to be as soft as possible as to not disturb the man in his state of thinking once more. Ember didn't close her eyes yet, but her breathing was slowing a fair bit and the muscles began to lax as well.

Lief felt a small smile spread across his face, though his attention was brought back for only a moment. He had nearly forgotten about the stranger! Without making too much movement, Lief fully regained his focus and sent a curious look downwards from the ceiling. His brows furrowed as he blinked. The thief didn't speak, though he was wishing to ask questions, as always. He inhaled and sighed silently, gazing around the tavern. The Hellion didn't let his attention move for longer than a second, though. One question surfaced once again; was this stranger any sort of a threat?

He continued wondering, not returning to his lost-in-thought state. The male would be on edge, his ears perked and his stare inquiring.
He was silent as he watched the two of them converse, before speaking again once the both of them had quieted. "I do not mind if you call me your friend, although we have not reached that yet." He said, sighing. "So, from what you've said and what i've seen, this place is an in-between point of sorts, a nexus between many different worlds, correct?" He asked for clarification, as well as voicing his own opinion on the state of matters.

He then relaxed, having determined that neither of them would be too much of a threat, unless they were either hiding something, or if they attacked together.

The Hellion blinked. "Where.. did you hear that, Friend?" He questioned, his words slow as he spoke. "That’s a.." The thief searched for the word, his brows creasing in mild confusion and focus. "..rather peculiar assumption." He finished, flashing a smile.

"So, where’d you hear the idea? It’s quite preposterous." He chuckled. "Yet it’s amusing and.. fantasizing."
"Simply a theory of mine. I've heard of places such as this in legend, but never truly believed it until now. After all, the both of you are rather clearly from worlds far different than my own." He said with a shrug. He then sat down, relaxing more as he sank into the seat. "Why? Have you heard similar tales where you are from?" He asked, appearing genuinely interested.

Lief drew a breath. He was debating if he should lie or speak the truth, sending a small glimpse towards Ember. "I.. have heard of such." He finally spoke. "Though, our beliefs must be different, for we believe it to be untrue despite the use of common magicks."

He was going to shrug, but he realized the woman was still leaning on his shoulder, so he tilted his head instead. "I s’ppose they are just.. tales. Though, you say this world is not like yours?"
He nodded, unwrapping a small amount of bandages on his right hand. "That is correct. My world is in a state of constat war, and scars like this are common." He said simply, displaying his burns for Lief to see. He then rewrapped it after letting him take a look. "So yes, it's very different."
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

Ember still leaned into Liefthous, listening silently to the two men talk about the Hall in a different manner than what she was used to. The woman only looked back to the male when he glanced at her, unsure of the conversation and decided to stay quiet. At the new man's show of scars, the red-head was conscious of her own once more, and thought that maybe they weren't from different places. The grey-eyed woman was tired though, and kept the thought to herself.

Ember curled her legs up onto the chair now, getting slightly more comfortable in the man's warming offer. She switched her focus between them from time to time.

Lief returned the nod. "May I ask what your world is like, in that case?" He raised an eyebrow to display his curiosity. Though he would be listening, his thoughts would be threatening to take over his focus.

Another world.. Was this statement true? And, if so, how? He scoffed at his own thought. How? Many people had magicks and divinations, didn’t they? It wasn’t too strange if something like this were to happen. But, then again, the rumors he had been told spoke of these folk to be.. dangerous. Though, the stranger didn’t appear to be a threat. He would keep himself on edge, ready to raise fists if needed.
He went silent, the simple and innocent question causing him to almost immediately shut down. "It is... for lack of a better world, hell, at least for me." He said, sighing. "Most people there have injuries as I do, but much less so. It may be much better for most, even a paradise for some. I, however, am persecuted due to what I have become." He said before returning to silence, at least for a second. "There is no magic, unlike the world you come from, but technology is rather advanced." He then stopped talking, and didn't continue.

Lief echoes his words, confused. "Technology..?" Though it wasn’t pronounced correctly, it was close to ‘tech-nu-lugy’. He didn’t seem to notice, nor care, enough to correct himself, so he continued. "What is meant by your words, Sir..?"

He seemed bewildered, though he had heard of the term before as he was passing through a village from the West. He understood what the West Villages said was strange, though he had never thought to ask. Now, hearing the peculiar word again, he wished he had asked a question or two.
"You don't have technology in your world? Hm, no matter." He said, the strips of fabric on his head shifting slightly around his mouth to indicate a sort of grin, or at least smile. "Well, technology, or tech for short, could be a lot of things. Cars, electronic devices, guns, bombs, etc..." He said, his grin fading. "Anyways, i'd elaborate if I knew more of the workings of most technological devices. Could you perhaps sate my curiousity for something real quick?" He asked hopefully, uncertain whether or not his theory was correct. "Would your world be described as medieval? Are there kings and queens, knights and mages, possibly even magical creatures?" He asked, his burned eyes seeming to light up.

The Hellion blinks. "I s’ppose I’ve seen a gun or two.. though, not many. They aren’t common from the South." He answered with a slight nod. "This.. technology wasn’t advanced or noticed in my hometown, I’m guessing. I’ve heard it’s common from the West side of things, though they are strange.. people, and I wouldn’t suggest bothering them."

He raised an eyebrow at the next question, his oversized, elf-like ears perking. He brought his ghost-white hair into a slick ponytail to gesture to the two, curled, emerald-colored horns that rested over his ears. "As in ‘magical creatures’ you mean non-human or non-mortal beings, correct? And as for the Rulers.. I’m not positive about other places, but my village has a Lord. We don’t believe in the King and Queen system."
Ember AKA Audenzia (played anonymously)

(( I won't be able to reply for a few hours after this, apologies! ))

Ember wasn't sure about the talk of teknolowgy or King or Cween or gums but she was more than thoroughly confused, her eyebrows even knitting together progressively. She half pressed her face into Liefthous' shoulder, arms still crossed, and sighed lightly.

Lief sent another glance at Ember, wondering if he was bothering her. He moved slightly, attempting to make himself and her more comfortable, if possible. He crossed his legs and wondered.

What was so useful of having two Rulers? Wouldn’t they bicker over decisions and have different views on problems? And why were people like himself considered ‘magical creatures’? Of course, they used magicks, but they weren’t creatures or animals of any sorts! They were just like anyone else, weren’t they?

He kept these thoughts and questions to himself, his brows still furrowed as he sent his mind to trace over his and the stranger’s previous said words.

Toby Green walked into the building in a hunched over tramp, seemingly having covered a few too many night shifts recently. “Bartender, I’d like a black coffee with several shots of... I don’t know, stronger coffee?” He sputtered, collapsing onto a nearby table’s bench.
Aleron Chev (played anonymously)

Aleron shivered, seeming to snap back to his senses. His eyes flickered open as he quickly rose to his feet. Taking in his surroundings, he realized he was standing outside of the feast. He turned on his heels, he wondered if he had fallen asleep while he was pondering.

He stumbled back inside, deciding it was too cold for his liking. Aleron shut the doors and scanned over the different faces, his eyebrows pinched together. He spotted his old friend seated alongside a women whom was unfamiliar. Seeing as Lief was having conversations, Aleron made his way to the bar.

He took a seat and glanced at the man who had nearly fallen onto a bench. He chuckled and turned his head to face him. "Are you alright, Sir?"
