I just learned a nifty trick (that you guys probably already know about). You can write completely hidden notes into a character profile by collapsing them and making the title a single space. Your notes will still be there when you edit your character, but on the profile itself there's nothing. You can't even highlight it. If you like drafting incomplete characters away from the public eye, this is the way to do it.
Edit: It works in posts too. There's one right above this line. Though, to be honest I don't know why you would use this in a post.
Also, I thought I'd throw some links your way while I'm at it. Here are my favorite sites for random profile decorations...
Compart: Everything unicode. It may be difficult to navigate if you're unfamiliar with unicode, but it's super useful.
Cool Symbol: Another unicode site that is much easier to use. It's more for decorations and less for the "technical" stuff.
Emojipedia: Name speaks for itself. This website has just about every emoji out there, but what I find especially nice about it is that it shows you the different versions of each emoji across various platforms. The different versions are images instead of emojis, so you can just use the image of the one you want! (Everything is free use)
Mess Letters: This site has everything from font generators to lists of symbols. ššŖš“š® š¹š»š®š½š½š ššøš»šš¼ šŖš·š š¼š½š¾šÆšÆ. Fair warning though, try not to put anything important in these fancy fonts because there is a small chance that someone with an old device won't see them.
Lingo Jam: A language/translator site that you can use for genuine translations, or the page I linked you to which is similar to Mess Letters. There are some serious translators, and then there are some rather wĢµĢĢĶeĢ¶ĢĢĶĢĢĢ®Ģ¬ĶĶiĢµĢĢĶĢĢĢrĢ·Ģ¾ĢĢĢĢĢĶĢ„dĢ“ĶĶĢŖĶĢĢ° ones.
Game Icons: This is probably my favorite discovery so far. It's a huge database of completely free to use icons that you can edit right there on the site. You can download them as PNGs (which support transparency) or SVGs for those of you who like vectors.
Edit 2: Oops I posted this in RP discussions...

My phones never show some of the fancy characters people like to use for decoration. I can see them on my laptop, but lots of folks only have phones or tablets and just see boxes. Just a warning.
That aside, if you have an epic account, you can hide entire pages, but it's not as simple. It requires duplicating the template into one you can edit, then getting the id of the page link you want to hide and using CSS to hide it. Now, unless someone manages to stumble across a direct link, that page on the profile can only be accessed when editing the profile.

I actually did NOT know this, and I find it absolutely fabulous. The only flaw I see with it in "drafting" a character that is not read to be public yet;
I like to save what I am doing and preview how it looks on a page LOL. And anyone that can be quick enough to click the edited character somehow, will see everything I just did!
Not that it's a huge secret, just a personal preference. I know that typing has that nifty "preview" button, but, it does not quite work the same way when you want to see how something actually looks all coded and written out in contrast with the background and such.

This is incredibly useful. Thank you so much for sharing, I'll have to consider some of these websites and tell muh peeps about it!
Holy HECK this icon site. I am lost in it... There's so many I want to use, it's overwhelming. It feels like it's time for another complete-profile-overhaul.
Just wanted to let people know just in case they decide to use the fancy text generator - unicode doesn't work on certain phones.
Posted a topic about it a while back after visiting RpR on my relic of a phone - they show up as rectangles on old phones. A user mentioned that the fancier phones have the capability to view these characters, and someone else said that there are people on this site that use only phones to view RpR on.
Some people may look at your character sites on old clunkers and see the rectangles. It's your call if you want to include them. But advice? Don't put everything in fancy unicode.

I have a newer phone-ish that's a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it still has trouble reading fancy letters. It depends entirely on what one is chosen. Instead of producing a fancy letter it will force some fonts back to Sans-Serif/Times New Roman or it will simply show the same kinds of blocks and rectangles that amelie mentions here.
Keep in mind, some fonts can't be seen on some computers either. This can be caused by certain font types not being installed into a computer, or not being supported by their browser. So, it's a good idea to compare fonts on your own mobile devices and at least Chrome and Microsoft Edge to see if it is supported in more than one place. That way you can do your best to make sure that nearly everyone can see your awesome decorative fonts.
