Hello there ^w^
I'm making this post due to finding myself sharing music in the Just Chat channel of RPR quite often whenever I'm writing and working on my fantasy novel or writing a post for a role-play. I suddenly realized that there must be plenty of others out there that feel more inspired while listening to music or that end up in a certain writing flow when they're listening music while working on a post or project. To be able have a place where I can release all types of music that I happen to listen to while writing to all members here, I decided to make a post on this forum. I figured this might be helpful for some others that are looking for new music to listen to while writing or role-playing and I'd love it if others would share their own too! Without further rambling, here's a list of artists I find myself listening to most of the time as a fantasy writer:
Skyclad
Adrian Von Ziegler
Nightwish
Two steps from hell
Epica
Delain
Within Temptation
Yiruma
Korpiklaani
Murderdolls
Eluveitie
Lindsey Stirling
So, how about you? What do you listen to while writing/posting? ^w^

Hi! Great topic!
I think that listening to music does enhance your creativity, especially when you listen to your favorite tracks. Personally, I do not do that because the music can be a distraction and I tend stop writing mid post and just listen to the music. I'd like to settle myself in a quiet space, any quiet space really. Not too quiet. Maybe sounds of the gust brushing through the leaves or music playing from a nearby radio. Not too loud. This type of fluid setting helps me think.
I'd like to give those a listen! Would you mind posting some of your favorite tracks from each artist?

Hello ^w^
Thank you for answering to my topic. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that feels this way, although I do understand that it can be distracting. This is the case for me as well. I usually start with a very low volume and work my way up and once I'm writing smoothly and words keep flowing out, I know it's safe for me to turn the volume to normal.
I don't mind posting more specific songs, I'll make a list of things based on my youtube history ^w^
Within temptation - Ice Queen
Within temptation - Stand my ground
Scottish music & Celtic music - Gaelic Warriors
Northern Steel (Nordic Folk Metal)
Lords of iron (Celtic metal)
Two steps from hell - Impossible
Lord of the Rings sound of shire
Two steps from hell - Evergreen Extended
Yiruma-River flows in you
Epic Celtic Music Mix (vol 1 & 2)
Delain- April rain
Delain - We are the others
Nightwish - Storytime
Eluveitie - The call of the mountains
Skyclad - The parliament of fools
Epica - Sensorium
Korpiklaani - hunting song
Murderdolls - white wedding
Lindsey Stirling - Roundtable rival
There's a bunch more but you can easily click from one video to another in recommended ^w^
I hope you'll enjoy them and find some that help you feel inspired ^w^
Thanks for giving me a list! I'll be sure to make a playlist out of them and tell you what I think!
