Hello everyone!

Writing this one as an invitation to all those interested in joining a new science-fiction (and down the line a fantasy) RP that me and a couple of my friends recently set up. It deals/will deal with all those lovable sci-fi tropes and themes you all know and adore. From simple, silly ones to perhaps those that are somewhat adult and even dark at themes.

The premise is as follows: A hundred and twenty years after the First Contact between the Humans and an alien race that helped prevent total destruction of Earth from World War III and the rage of Mother Nature, humanity launches her newest ship, hoping to usher a new Golden Era of space exploration and move away from the militaristic ways the United Systems Commonwealth has taken in the last few decades following several crisis that shook the government and the events that happened on the galactic scale.

What the crew hopes is going to be a new adventure, will soon take a turn into something NONE of them expected....as the ship is going to be flung into the unknown. Three centuries into the future. Overpowered, understaffed....alone, it is up to the crew of the Aurora to survive and hopefully find their way home.

We are set on a starship (much like it is in Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica), so there are still a few main positions open, plus a handful of Deputy. But we also take in passengers, ambassadors and various other visitors. For the MOMENT only human characters are allowed, but soon, once the "jump to the future" happens, alien characters are going to be allowed. Also, since we are brand new, every potential new member gets to create and weave the lore that we are going to use. Add your own alien species? Go for it! Technology? Go for it as well! There are plenty of opportunities to be explored and used and we would like YOU to join us.

So those interested please let me know and ask any questions that you may have. I shall be more than happy to answer them all. And hopefully, we see one another out there.

interest has been piqued. Any specific roles on the ship "lacking". This may or may not influence my pick of character.

For the moment we only lack the Chief of Operations from the Senior Staff. BUT we accept EVERYTHING and ANYTHING basically. Military, civilian, the in betweens and so on and so forth. All the Deputy positions, that could in the end become Chief positions, or perhaps some positions that I missed. Literally the sky is the limit, so I'm sure that whatever idea you may have, we can make it work.

I could be interested in playing as a possible alien in the future. I don't really play many humans and don't normally have an interest in playing humans particularly in sci fi settings. If you want to give me a shout when you reach that point or want to discuss options or ideas for when you reach that ahead of time feel free to pm me. Of course if I am somehow misreading this post then feel free to disregard me as well.

Hey, y'all! I joined this RP a couple months ago, and omg I've had so much fun! Most of our senior positions on the ship are already filled, but that could change as the story continues. Plus, we're still seeking deputies.

As the months have passed, we're getting ever closer to finding ourselves in the future, so alien species and various forms of tech are definitely welcome. This is a Discord server, though. But don't let that deter you. The channels and forum itself is organized and easy to navigate.

While this is a text-heavy, literate RP, it is definitely worth the read. This RP isn't for the faint of heart, but those brave adventurers who join us will certainly be rewarded with deep lore and an intricately woven story.

I can vouch for the above post. I was one of the ones to help build it,l and so far I have not been disappointed in what this RP has turned into!

Just joined, and just saw this. If it's still open to newcomers, I'd like to ask to join your Sci fi rp as a character I never got to use for one. An old era Synthetic intelligence character, one of the first truly sentient and a bit paternal and agitated. I can reformat the concept as I see fit. As for his purpose, something a bit more industrial would be nice. From a stevedore, to an engineman, spacer, security, or bosun. Despite his old age, Vali contains relatively advanced tech gathered in his liberty, from feedstock generators to an officer's power-gun kept in half decent repair. Basically, an eclectic robotic space hero long washed up. He also smokes and drinks, because of a mixture of spite, boredom, and curiosity. Make of such as you will. I am more than happy to refine a non-officer character such as this as needed.
