I'm working on a list of famous fandom characters from science fiction and fantasy, like Gandalf, Han Salo, Yoda and Picard. What are your favorites in these genres?

Keep in mind I'm not looking for anime character suggestions at this time. Thanks!

Mine's a Discworld one too, but it's Granny Weatherwax. She is always my favourite character in anything, ever. Vimes is also excellent, though.

Not sure if she will count but Morgian le Fay (or however you wish to spell it I've seen a couple of ways) ummm a couple personal favorites were the twins from Dragonlance Raistlin and Caramon

Actually what's going on is that I created a password generator with themes! One of the themes is "nerdy," and I have lots of fandom related words in it. But I felt like I just really didn't have enough of a range -- just lots of star trek and star wars and a little bit of LOTR, and I wanted to make it much more fun.
