Erissa grinned widely from her response. "Isn't this great, Vincent?" She turned to him, her wavy hair lightly fanning behind her as the light blush began to settle in on her cheeks. Making friends on the first day brought her giddy with relief and could be heard in her tone of voice. "We should go to our next class~" She quickly grabs both of their hands and gently tugs them towards the door. "Com- Oh. How silly of me. I forgot to ask for your name."
Vincent must have been the third person of their little group. Isobel cracked a smile at the girl's giddiness. She went easily with the tug of her arm. "I'm Isobel. What about you?"
"You smiled!" She giggles. "My name is Rae Lana. Just call me Rae." She says as she led everyone out the door. "So! Where is our next class...?"
"I think its to the right. But remember, we need to be careful." Vincent said.
Isobel nods, already listening for signs of an aggressive approach. Other students are grouping together as they did and she can hear one group in hushed voices considering breaking rule number one already. "Strength in numbers right?" They go silent as Vincent, Rae and Isobel draw closer. She can't be sure whether or not they heard too, as her hearing was much better than a normal person's.
Vincent noticed the group of students walking towards them, sensing an air of aggression. He quickly did a head count and found that the group had ten people in it. "Guys, we need to start walking or I think we might have a bit of trouble on our hands.".
Isobel's hand tightened on her staff, the only sign that she felt the same tensions. She didn't have to see to know they were giving their little trio some hostile glares. She agreed with Vincent and kept walking like she couldn't tell that anything was wrong.
Rae's eyes grew hard with tension and tried to keep a smile on her lips. She tied her hair up into a rippling pony tail, making sure nothing would obscure her vision if something happened. "So, what do you think the next class is going to be about?" She asked while pretending to fiddle with something on her clothing as she surveyed the hostile group.
Trying to keep up the facade, vincnet answered the question. "I'm not sure. Maybe all today is the teachers introducing themselves. What do you think Isobel?".
"It would make sense. And maybe a few of them have special rules for when you're in their room." She imitates an older man's voice. "If you spill a student's blood on my carpet while trying to kill them, you have to clean it up." Isobel had a bit of a dry humor.
Vicnent laughed a bit at the joke, trying to calm himself down. The group was following them now, and seemed to be closing in. "Guys," he whispered "I think running is a good idea at this point. I don't want to resort to violence unless necessary.".
Isobel tensed. "We shouldn't split up though, run in a group. They could separate and still overpower us individually. If it comes to a fight, I'm ready." Her hand tightened in Rae's. She would depend on her to make sure she didn't run into something.
Vincent nodded. "Right. When I give the word, we run for it. Ready everybody?".
Rae squeezes Isobel's hand in return and slightly nodded. "I got you Isobel." She gulped and shifted her eyes on Vincent, her body slightly tensed.. "Ready."
"3...2...1... Go!" Vincnet ran in front, only looking back to check if the girls were still with him. "There it is! Up in front of us!". Vincnet pointed to the door at the end of the hall. Then, an ice wall appeared before the trio. "What the heck? Ice?" Vincent looked back and saw that two of the ten people chasing them had there hands outstretched in a casting stance. "Mages, huh?" Vincent looked at the ice. "We're going to have to fight. Breaking this ice is going to be impossible with these guys breathing down our necks.". Vincent looked down at his open hand."come to me, Shikurasa.". Vincent's scythe appeared in his hand, perfectly polished from the night before. "You guys ready? We've got no choice this time.".
Isobel ran as fast as she could behind Vincent and Rae. Her heart was beating a mile a minute and she almost ran into Rae when the ice wall came up. She turned around to face the people coming at them now. Mages? She hadn't face one of those before, but surely even mages couldn't come back from their head being separated from their bodies. Isobel twisted her staff and it came apart into two twin swords. "Ready."
Understanding that there was no choice in avoiding conflict, Rae crouched down low, her hands reaching down to retrieve her daggers which were concealed against her thighs. Her sea green wave like tattoos dully glowed as her daggers fitted snuggly into her hands. Magic folks huh?.. The most she fought were thieves and a couple of sea hunters. She crouched low to the ground, her hair fanning out against her back. "Let's do this."
The larger group approached with the ease of someone who had cornered a rabbit and knew it had no way out but death. They'd find that this trio was no rabbit though. Isobel wrinkled her nose as an overpoweringly sweet perfume wafted towards her. Great. There was a Siren here too. They all had the same overly sweet scent. "Stay focused, Vincent." If he let his guard down for even a second, she'd have him doing whatever she wanted. Only those with an exceptionally strong will had been able to stand up to one unguarded for more than a minute.
She wasn't going to just wait for them to attack. One second, Isobel was standing with her swords raised in a defensive stance, next she was right next to the unfortunate front of the pack, swinging her blades with deadly grace. Nothing preceding the attack, not a yell or even an intake of breath.

Sirens?! Ugh. It was bad enough living in the same waters with them.. She thought she could have gotten a break from them but here they are! She blinked in annoyance and during that moment she blinked, she couldn't believe her eyes. The deadly dance of Isobel's swords took her aback for a second. It was like she wasn't blind at all. "Amazing." She whispered and smiled. Not wanting to waste another second and while wishing she had her bow, she sprinted through the group and attacked from behind with focused jabs to their pressure points on their necks, back, and head leaving two unconscious from the dull side of her blades.
When she back stepped quickly to move out of a fireball's trajectory, her foot was caught in an ice trap leaving her stuck to the ground. "Dear Neptune!" She grunted as she bashed on the ice with the back of her blades. Another fireball was hurled toward her while she was distracted. Rae clenched her jaw and prepared for the burn.

Vincent easily swung his scythe in the wide hallway. He had heeded Isobel's warning and took care to avoid whatever she was worried about. "Time to disappear." He thought as he slowly evaporated into a shadow and moved toward the back of the group. He could hear the group looking for him as he crept up on a member of the group who was holding a club. "Surprise!" He screamed as he jumped out of the student's shadow, slicing him with his scythe. Then he saw the fireball heading towards Rae and jumped in front of it, taking the strike. Slowly he got up from the fall he took and faced rae Lana. "You okay?" He asked as tiny shadows danced across his wounds, slowly healing them.
